Carbohydrates are not an enemy, and they have nothing to do with how much muscle you have. I take it you did not read the post I linked to about setting your calorie goals. You should calculate how much protein and fat you need based on your lean body mass. Then fill in the calories with carbohydrates as you see fit for your needs. Carbs may not keep some people feeling satiated, so they eat less of them, but carbs also provide fuel for workouts and everyday activity.

I just wanted to say, I think, that if two persons have the same body weight but different muscle/fat proprtions, and eat the same anount of carbohydrates, the one with more muscles would burn more calories and the other one would burn less and there would be more calories to turn into the fats.

Te link is alo about it...how about comments?

Maybe it's still too early in the morning (even at 10 am) for this... but

Your appearance is going to be mostly dictated by genetics e.g. You will not be able to make your legs longer.

However, you can do something about the skinny arms and fat around the middle (that's if I'm even understanding your post). If you're happy with your weight but not your shape, up your calories to maintainence and lift weights (or some other form of progressive strength training that you enjoy). Jogging WILL NOT add muscle.

    Eat
    Sleep
    Lift
    Repeat

    :)

To gain 1 lb you need a surplus of roughly 3500 calories but this will not be PURE muscle - some of it WILL be fat (that ratio will depend on your genetics).

Research this question. Also when you do find somewhere with a definite answer that is close to other source post here because I myself cannot find this answer either.

    NOT daily - total.

3500 per week or (per fortnight for girls) - or however fast you want to gain that 1lb.

Everyone will add a different ratio of fat:muscle. What you do will also affect the ratio (if you sit on the couch it will be mostly fat, if you hit the weights it might be half and half etc). What macros you consume will affect the ratio (I go for 1g protein per lb bodyweight (others go for anything between 0.8g per lb LBM - 1.5g per lb bodyweight) and 0.4 g fat per lb bodyweight).

I can't give you examples of my experience as I haven't finished cutting - so I don't know my exact results. I also didn't have an exact bf% measurement (dexa is expensive!)

You probably won't get exact numbers from anybody, as outside of a lab, it's mostly guesswork and trial and error.

Google is your friend, in this situation.

And considering you've been greatly undereating every day, I'm going to add, that's 3500 calories over your maintenance calories. Not 3500 calories total per week.

How much calories do I need daily for basic metabolism, so that it does not start to be unhealthy?

We don't know as your stats change from post to post. Set MFP to maintain or use another online calculator to get your maintainence calories.
