    September goals?

    Goal #1: Oktoberfest starts on my birthday this month, so I guess my goal this month is to stay ahead of the calorie count by turning the pedals enough to indulge...

    Goal #2: Get fewer flats this month.

    Goal #3: Season is winding down, so it's time to start working in some fun fall rides with no training goals.


    September 3 - rode 14.7 miles for a duration of 1:06:09
    September 5 - rode 19.3 miles for a duration of 1:23:00
    September 6 - rode 12.9 miles for a duration of 1:31:45 (Mt.Biking)
    September 7 - rode 9.98 miles for a duration of 1:13:35 (Mt.Biking)
    September 9 - rode 14.7 miles for a duratioan of 00:58:32

    Falling a touch behind, but crossed the 100 mile mark with a nice long (and fast) ride today. Snagged one of those crazy giro aerodynamic (non-pointy) helmets on sale, which helped me stay in "zone 1" at 17.5mph on my road bike (yay - fitness!), but in the Florida heat, I probably need a bit more ventilation. Heading back up north Friday, so back to the land of 600ft of climbing on my regular commute there.

    Goal: 450 miles (last month - 430)

    I'm finally getting back into cycling, mostly riding to and from work.

    So far this month, I've ridden 71km (44 mi) in 5 rides, having spend 4h 25m riding. I've climbed 178m (it's flat out here). I'll update every time I add more distance!

    Haha. Not any more than it already was. I still take it every time. But my rides are so short I figure there's not much point listing what I'm listening to. Earlier this year I actually bought 3 used Walkmans (Walkmen?) off eBay since mine is half broke (volume stuck on high) and I LOVE these external speaker mp3 players. I don't want to ever not have a working one.

    Today's music was The Black Keys (while doing yard work and cycling).

    During my bike ride, I came upon a bunch of discarded lumber scraps. Good scraps. Rode home, jumped in the car, and went back to get it all. Will be great for a new raised garden bed. Woot!
