Today was the Minneapolis Bike Tour. I totally kicked it up and down the whole route. I'm not a fast cyclist by any stretch of the imagination, but I am improving. I averaged 10 mph on the course last year. This year I did it at 15 mph.0 -

Goal #1: Oktoberfest starts on my birthday this month, so I guess my goal this month is to stay ahead of the calorie count by turning the pedals enough to indulge...
Goal #2: Get fewer flats this month.
Goal #3: Season is winding down, so it's time to start working in some fun fall rides with no particular training goals.

Finally back on track to hit my target after today's long "recovery" ride (recovering from some long/fast runs this weekend). My cheapo walmart commuter is now riding like a charm with a bit more elbow grease, and I'm sorely tempted to try it out on a practice triahtlon next year, just so I can pass a bunch of out of shape cervello P3 and P5 riders with it (as I can now maintain a bit over 20mph at my LT zone on the thing).
