I love this, this is hilarious. But since I've stumbled upon a place filled with curly haired women, can I ask, in all seriousness, how the heck you get it under control?!?! I'm a no fuss sort of person, and I have always just left the house with my hair still wet and it looked great when it dried. Now that I live in Florida (and it seems to be getting worse as I get older too), my hair is crazy poofy and frizzy and since I've never really done hair, I can't seem to figure it out!!

Go ahead, laugh at me. Then give me your best and easiest tips, please?!?

Have you tried the curly girl method? Check it out! http://www.wikihow.com/Follow-the-Curly-Girl-Method-for-Curly-Hair I use Suave Naturals for silicone-free products. Also, check out http://www.livecurlyfree.com and http://www.naturallycurly.com for some tips.
Here's a list of ingredients in hair care products: http://tightlycurly.com/ingredients/

    Hope this helps!

When you have to remind the hairdresser every time,"when I say shoulder length that means you cut it about 2 inches below my shoulder, because when it dries it will shrink, duh!" I have had countless times I go get my haircut and come out looking like a French poodle!

I second the curly girl method. It took a while for my hair to settle into a good balance, but once it was working it really worked.

When the hair dresser says "Oh you can do this hair style so easy, and it will hold even then the humidity" and you just laugh and tell her "Go ahead" she does it, you go out side and come back in 5 minutes later with curls galore!

Happened for my sister's wedding all the girls wanted flat ironed straight hair (except me, because I look really bad that way as my hair is baby fine as well as curly), hairdresser insisted she could get my hair to do it, my sister agreed that we do a test run on my hair (she knows), hairdresser did my hair, sprayed it with enough hairspray to make an 80's girl proud and we went across the parking lot to get lunch, we were gone about 1/2 hour and went back. Hairdresser was stunned, all my "straight" hair had started curling up in it's normal spiral curls.... we all wore our hair up and curled for the wedding.

When you have your hairdresser cut it chin length , blow it dry upside down and then you walk out.

I don't think I brushed my hair for ten years. The more humidity the better.

    Can't ever do flat straight.......

When someone tries to play with my hair they get the death stare. Do. Not. Touch. My. Hair. Seriously. :grumble: It'll frizz like crazy and the only way to fix it is to start over! lol

"You have such thick looking hair!!"

*pulls curly hair into a ponytail about as big around as a pencil* ... Nope.

Target was clearancing out the Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Shine stuff and I totally grabbed like 2 bottles of shampoo and 7 bottles of conditioner. It's the only stuff I've found recently that works well with my hair.

When your daughter wants to go to the pool and you tell her maybe tomorrow, mommy just washed her hair today.... A half hour of washing/conditioning/styling, a ridiculous amount of product, and 5-6 hours of drying--not going through that again!

When even your stylist gives up on trying to straighten it! He just said honey, I'm sorry, that look is not going to work for you. I have baby fine super curly hair. Reading this thread and agreeing with all of it!

^^^Me. Just because it's curly and looks like I have a 'fro, doesn't mean it's thick. My boss actually tells me when we are in a crowd she knows how to find me by looking for the blond frizzy 'fro. :noway:

Oh and this stuff is a recent purchase, but I LOVE it. It helps with the frizzies better than morocan oil. (at least for me).

When you rock the "wet" jerry curl look to get defined curls or otherwise its just a nappy mess.

When you've paid tons for straight perms and decided to just do it yo self with Rusk Anti-Curl Curl-Killer.

When you realize corn-rows look good on you and low -maintenance.

When you have a blow-out and refuse to get in the water lest a drop of water land on your head.

When you own heavy duty hair irons/ blowers and numerous brushes and straightening balms to get the **** straight.

You get a workout straightening your hair; takes an hour or longer depending on length.

When you get made fun of as a kid in the 80's because yo momma gave you a mullet; nappy fro mullet.

If I think of more will be back. Sorry if any repeats. This is real coarse curly here lol I don't consider wavy hair curly at all
