I think someone mentioned this already, but if you take some pork (I use a tenderloin), and a sliced onion and pour in a bottle of root beer (I use diet), then cook till tender, shred, and mix in some bbq sauce, it makes the most delicious pulled pork sandwiches!

    flanks steak or skirt steak
    juice of 1-2 limes
    1 jar salsa

place whole steak in bottom of crock pot, add lime juice and salsa. Cook on low for 6-8 hours depending on how your crock pot cooks.

Makes wonderful Mexican flavors shredded beef for tacos, burritos, etc.

I've done the same thing with boneless chicken breasts!

I love my crockpot so. I've saved a bunch of these recipes, so thank you all! Here are some of my favorites:

    Easy Chicken and Dumplings

    3-4 chicken breasts
2 cans of low sodium/fat cream of whatever soups
    1/2 bag of baby carrots
    1 onion, chopped
    2 T butter (optional)
    S&P to taste
    Chicken broth to cover

Throw it all in your crock and cook on low 7 hours. Shred the chicken, add a can of refrigerator biscuits (torn up and pushed down into the broth) and cook on high and add'l hour. So good.

    Guinness Corned Beef

3-4 lb. corned beef brisket with spice pouch
    1 c. brown sugar
    Enough Guinness to cover

Low for 8-10 hours. Add cabbage in the 2 hours if you're into that kind of thing, which I am.

    Awesome Pot Roast

    5 lb. roast
    1 can golden mushroom soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 package onion soup mix
    1 1/2 c. beef broth
    1/2 bag baby carrots

Mix broth with onion soup mix and creamed soups and pour over roast and carrots. Cook on low 8-10 hours.

Here's mine! I don't know the stats, but it's one of my favorites.

    2 raw Chicken breasts
2 cans condensed Broccoli Cheddar soup
    2 cans Whole Sweet Corn

Throw everything in together in the morning on low. At lunch time you can cut/dice/shred/whatever the chicken and put it back. At dinner you have a yummy, creamy soup!

    I will try this..

    3 Raw Chicken breast
1 cup salsa (or however much you need to cover chicken)
    1 packet chicken taco seasoning

and there you have chicken tacos :)

I did this recipe. I had 6 chicken breasts, 1 jar of salsa, half packet of seasoning, then I added some lime juice. so good
  • GREAT thread! gonna steal every last recipe on here  I made this on Saturday night and it tasted even better today than it did Saturday night! I used tortilla chips but you can pour over brown rice. Remove half the liquid, the stew is amazing! http://www.food.com/recipe/kickin-creamy-chicken-stew-in-a-slow-cooker-319534?fb_action_ids=10152847305344722&fb_action_types=og.likes&fb_ref=recipe-319534

Make it as hot or mild as you like!
