I made this today. But I tweaked it a bit

I put in 6 chicken breasts and a few chicken tender cuts
I did the 1/4 cup of soy sauce
then the crushed pineapple but I didn't drain it
then a chopped up 2 small yellow onions and cooked it for 6 hours on high

My family loved it! My picky eater then never mixes anything together ate it up and even ate it over the rice. Normally she would eat them both separate. My husband said he wants it every night LOL. I have to say it was a very tasty dinner! And a great dinner for a busy night. I love dinners I can start in the morning with hardly any fuss. I will definitely make this again.

Been making this for a few weeks now and love it!! This time, we took the chicken out and shredded it and put it in a skillet with brown rice and made "fried rice"...it was delicious. Then we had some leftover shredded chicken, so I put it on a salad with pineapple and Ken's sweet onion Lite Dressing, and it was sooooo good.

    I love this dish!

1tbsp of 30% lower salt soya sauce is 880mg of sodium, you are only supposed to have 1600mg a day so the amount of sodium that would be in this recipes is off the chart! EEk I make sure to watch my sodium! Other than that this recipe sounds good!

I'm definitely NOT a big fan of soy sauce of any form... MFP suggests 2,500 mg of sodium for me, but I try to keep mine lower, just under 2,000 mg. You do need some sodium, but I've never heard of anybody suggesting it as low as 1,600 mg! Is that a minimum suggestion? Where did you get that number?

I made this recipe recently. Even my KIDS loved it. We served it over rice.
