The other day I was thinking how much I used to love the "Happy Days" record. It had a flap at the back so you could stand the album cover up like a picture frame, aaay!

Oh my gosh, that reminded me...

I used to have a HUGE crush on Glen Campbell (liike a Rhinestone CowBoy...) and would kiss & dance with my record covers.

Now I only do that with my Chris Isaak ones!

#3 I can sing top-of-my-lungs opera with the worst of them.
#2 The dance demon drops by & I can bust moves that make my teenage daughters groan & hide their faces.
#1 Every Christmas season, I conduct (as in maestro & orchestra) key portions of Handell's Messiah in my living room (curtains wide open in case the neighbors need inspiration).

Now that I write it all down, my inner dork may well be a fine arts wannabe.

Speaking of dancing... I can do the entire Time Warp dance.. and I do, frequently. =) It's required that you sing at the top of your lungs while performing. It's a beautiful thing!

Yup. If you've seen the dance segment where "Hitch" is watching his dorky friend's dance moves ("make the pizza," "Q-tips," "stir the pot," etc.) he got those from me. I swear.

Okay okay, Geek Squad here. I'm afraid I'm going to have to step in with some sub-categories:

    OCD DORKS:
Those who have color coded closets OR
    Hangers matching clothes
    Label their own label maker

    I LOVE THE 80'S DORKS:
Those who love Grease, George Michael, Brady Bunch
    Safety-pinning bottom of jeans
Album cover of Happy Days with the flap in the back
    ALLLLVIIIIINNNNNNNN!

    MUSICAL DORKS:
Those whose dorkiness only comes out when singing, dancing or (my personal favorite) conducting Handell's Messiah

    KID-MORTIFYING DORKS:
Those who act extra dorky to make kids laugh OR those who act extra dorky for the sole purpose of embarrassing their children in public
Any dork with any affiliation with clowns whatsoever

    I NEED HELP DORKS:
Those who rub their noses on the satiny part of the blanket...lololol

No? OK then, um, I um, I build computers in my spare time, seriously, I don't build em for money, or friends, no no, I built a Linux server and threw VMWare on it and loaded windows server 2003 on it just so I had a test environment FOR MY HOBBY! That's pretty dorkie.

Bahh, that was only minor dorkieness, that only took me a weekend. I have lots of truely dorkie things that are much more shut-in then that! At least that is for a social reason.
