    question for everybody: how do you know how much cals do you burn. Do you have HRM, or do you go by cals on the exercise equipment? A long time ago I read in some ftnes magazine that exercise eq. is not accurate and you havve to burn extra 20 cals to burn actually 100 so 100=120 cals.

    Silverlil - yes I use a HRM. I never go by the machines b/c they are not accurate.

    I use an HRM watch and it actually tells me I burn more than the machine does. My watch is also close to MFP and Livestrong website. The elliptical is way off.

    I hope everyone stays with this! I know most challenges die down after a few weeks. If we all stick to it, check in, encourage each other and just stay focused then we can keep this going.

    Is it too late to join? well, starting weight is 144, goal weight is 125-130. So I guess, 1 pound a week would get me there! which, actually, doesn't seem too bad, but i m going to shoot for sooner! lol

    That is amazing what are you doing? I have only burned a total of 920 cals the last 2 days.

    Im station in Hohenfels, its a small post near Graf. I am actually going to Landstul in a few days (i have some things that need to be worked on!~!) But I will be keeping up with my fitness regimant while I am there!~!
  • I managed to burn 555 cals in 75 minutes last night. The night before I burned 569 in 65 minutes...not sure why it was so much harder last night! Of course, I am going by the machine's numbers. I plan to get a HRM soon but regardless of the numbers, I'm burning more than in the past with this challenge for sure!
  • Only burned 310 yesterday. But something is better than nothing!
    This challenge is a good one!

    2641 remaining to burn by sunday night!

    I'm at 1635 so far this week. I've been hitting the 500+ everyday but I feel so hungry now.
    It's like TOM is here but it's not. Ugh!

    We just started on Monday so welcome! We have a lot of weeks so
    we may do this challenge later on.
  • 598 tonight! Definitely more than I've ever burned! Took forever though.

    225 This morning at the gym, 582 swimming last night, 275 running on Tuesday morning...1082 cals so far. 2418 to go for the week! Ahh!

    Monday was an awesome day .... Tuesday and Wednesday not so much ..... Did some strength training this morning hoping to do some just dance later on today .... I just keep telling myself why i NEED to do this every morning and it does help ... GOOD LUCK LADIES

    I've been doing great at burning at least 500 calories every day. Now if I can just stay away from the Queso! :grumble:

    Totally get that! Mexican food, margaritas and beer are my worst enemies and I love them all so much :sad:

    wasnt feeling good the past few days...but I managed to get 555 calories done today, now I only have to burn 1000 friday, saturday and sunday...lol

    That is great! Saturay and Sunday are going to be hard for me. I hate working out on my days off.
  • ahhh! i'm starting to feel like i'm not gonna make it!
    but i'm not going down without a fight!
  • Didn't do so hot yesterday but ran a 5k this morning and burned 423 calories. That puts me at 2,601 burned so far. We'll see if I can burn 900 calories at the gym tomorrow. :sick:
