As I said Kelly - the truth is stranger than fiction. We truly can't make this stuff up.

Wishing your son well. Agree, it's scary.

Stepped on the scale this morning and the numbers were down from yesterday. However, I am very very very hungry this morning.

Yesterday, I did eat breakfast, snack, lunch, dinner, 2 glasses of wine, and did a 20 minute walk.

Haven't been sleeping well since I moved his dog to the garage. All the dog does is bark, bark, bark... there's a shared wall -- my bedroom & the garage.

I am estimating the lack of sleep is one culprit of why hungry. The other may be the wine.

So far, I've eaten 2 frozen waffles w/grape jelly, 1 6oz peach yogurt, 1/2 cup of Honey Roasted flakes something cereal, and a package of cheese/peanut butter crackers. I'm on my 2nd travel mug of hot tea.

Arrghhhh! Feeling like if it's not nailed down I want it.....

hi all... my hunger ended w/the peanut butter crackers... Then all settled out -- had lunch later & ate only cuz I knew I should.

So perhaps we should listen to our bodies.

diagnosis @ Dr.'s was menorraghia...which is what it was 7 yrs ago when I was there. she is checking my thyroid and ptt? not sure on that one? maybe a clotting test? my hemoglobin was 14.2, good. wonder what it is during my cycle...when I am feeling like crap, weak, no energy. a SIS transvaginal ultrasound is scheduled (procedure where they infuse the uterus with saline solution) for July 7, a month from now. she gave me information on 1. Novasure/ablation (removes the lining of the uterus), 2. Mirena (IUD), 3. laparoscopic hysterectomy (just the uterus is taken). I don't know what to do yet...definitely not #2...I don't want anymore hormones...mine are crazy enough. the ablation is suppose to improve to 80%, and likely out patient procedure. hysterectomy will be over nite and maybe 2-3 weeks recovery, and no more periods...will go thru menopause naturally. any poll takers? what would you ladies do? tomorrow I go see the Dr for my shoulder. hopefully last visit. got my hair cut too. feels better!

went for a very, very hot walk, bout 2:15 today. took it slow, no arm pumpin today! have a good evenin' all!

Kelly, I gave you my viewpoint on the IUD.
Unsure on my feelings on the other two.

Went out last night to dinner w friends. Good golly, I ate the entire plate. The husband looked at my plate at the end of the meal and asked if I was a little hungry. I should have said yes, and I want dessert now.

    Talk to you soon.

Kelly- I don't know what to tell you. I don't know what I would do if I was in your situation. On my mom's side of the family 4/5 of the girls have had hysterectomy including my Mom and Grandma. I am very much like her side of the family (physically) so I am assuming at one point in my future I will have to get one too. They all have had the hysterectomy done due to fibroids.

Barb- Tell him to come get his dog or you will give it away. It is going to be hot here today and tomorrow, also. Think Zan and I will head to the pool!

I might not check in tomorrow because my husband is taking the computer to work with him. :(

I hope you have a great day, Ladies!

Angie - he has until the end of the month to get all his items. He was given verbal notice as well as written notice. Plus, I sent the written notice to my attorney. July 1st the plan is change the garage door locks & get dog to shelter. The dog isn't friendly so the shelter is the best place. The cat he brought into the house meowed at the front door, I opened the door - out went the cat. Haven't seen it since.

He was supposed to come over Sunday - then yesterday to get items. I was asked if I would be home, my answer - no, I won't be.

I will say this ladies, yesterday, my work number rang and the caller ID stated who it was. Nope, it was my ex bf in his building calling from someone else's phone. Then he came to my building to stop at my desk. Here's the funny -- he asked me "is there any chance you'll reconsider your decision?" I just shook my head. NO.... you should have gotten divorced from your wife. Yes, ladies, he's been married since 8/99. He told me he was divorced.... nope.. never did. So I was living w/a married man.
Thus, when I learned no divorce, still legally married to her, he got the boot.

Now if another man wants a relationship w/me -- show me your divorce papers. If asked, I will gladly show my divorce papers.

    lol.....bye-bye kitty.

    very VERY smart!

Saw my surgeon today for my shoulder. he checked a few things, and I am still quite week in one of the movements...so I need to continue doing one of my exercises. For the most part, my shoulder is good, but there are mornings I wake and it is stiff/tender. Don't have to go back unless I have problems..and he gave me a note to return to work! yay, I can drive the bus in August! School's been out for 3 weeks and I'm ready for it to start!

Barb ~ info on 2012 trip coming soon?:drinker:

Angie ~ have fun at the pool...that sounds so refreshing! inlaws used to have one, they took it down this spring! my bio mom, and my mom have had hysterectomies. think it was fibroids and endometriosis. when I had the ultrasound 7 yrs ago, all was good, and I was 38 then. we'll see if there are any changes when I have the next one. I wish there was a medical reason, then I would feel better. my MIL had one too/fibroids. they were all about 45-47yrs old. right now all I can think about is the freedom I will have if I do elect to have it.

    Jacque ~
Vita ~ hope you're having a good time visiting the families!! :flowerforyou:
Angie ~ things still crazy for you? hope it turns around soon. :flowerforyou:

ok, time to get sweaty and exercise!

Barb- Maybe if you let the door open the dog will run away?! I would shorten the time to get the dog (like by Friday), but I can be a *itch especially if you made me mad. You are way too nice to put his things in the garage. I agree with you on seeing the divorce papers before getting involved again. You are handing this way better than I would. :flowerforyou:

Kelly- Good news you get to go back to work and that you don't have to see the surgeon again!! Just keep on doing your exercises and hopefully before you know it your shoulder will be 100% again. I would be thinking about the freedom that comes from the hysterectomy too. I am grateful that my birth control pills help with that time of the month for me. It is a hard decision to make.

Jacque, Sindy & Vita - Thinking about you guys and hope things are going well for you.

I am excited I just joined a gym that has day care!! I am limited to 2 hours a day for exercising unless I go when my husband is home. It will take be a little bit of time to work back up that much time anyway. Skinny me here I come. Now the hard part is eating better and less!! :) Now off to the pool Zan and I go!

    Have a great day!

Zan gradually got used to being in the pool and started to have fun towards the end. He made a girlfriend while at the pool today. Her name is Bella and she is 9 months. He kept trying to hold her hand. It was so cute!! I wish Daddy was there so he could take pictures. Oh well! I am going to the gym tomorrow. I hope Zan does ok in the play room. I have a feeling it is going to take some time for him to adjust to the play room. We will aim for 30 minutes and see how it goes. I can't wait to swim tomorrow. :) I miss the gym.
Time for bed. Good night, Ladies!

    Hi all.

The dog is not friendly and doesn't do well w/other dogs. So, to open the garage door & let him go..... I wouldn't be surprised if I have police at my door stating the dog bit someone or another dog.

Angie - sounds like Zan likes the pool. Good luck w/the gym.

    Kelly - dinner sounded good.

I didn't go to kickboxing last night. I came home from work and saw my house temperature at 85 then it creeped to 87. My roommate is telling me she didn't touch the temperature gauge - it was warm when she came home. The central A/C was on - blowing air but not cool air. Of course, I am clueless. My fix was to call a male friend then another - then a girlfriend to ask if her husband knew - call one of the male friends back again - call a A/C guy.

Eventually one male friend told me to look at the outside unit. I tell him the unit is on but the fan blades are not circulating. Then I was told to go to the circuit breaker panel. I'm being told to find the one for the A/C unit. Once found I reset that... look at the fan blades to see if working. Yes. Told to touch one of the pipes leading out of the unit - is it cold - Yes. A/C is on again.
By then the A/C guy calls I explain what I did. A/C guy says he'll come over anyway to check. He checks this he checks that checks this ... tells me all is well. Call back if the unit pops off again.

Lesson learned -- I know where the A/C circuit breaker is. I know if I reset & the pipe is cold all is well. If not, I got a problem.

I'm sure that was the first of many phone calls I will be making to ask someone - what do I do? How can I fix this?

lots of things to do here...house chores, puggers/bedding/toys are getting cleaned, book work, laundry and still need to dust! the last 4 days have been in the 90's and now it is 67*. relief. house opened up and hope to do some baking. I could really go for a frosted cake/cupcake right now. didn't get any at either of the receptions we went to Sat. one didn't have any, and the wedding we left before the food was served. have another wedding this Sat, and not sure I am attending the reception, but a piece of cake there would be better than an entire cake here. not sleeping well the last 2 nites. legs feel crawly, mind a racin. could be I am on pc too late at nite, or that I am eating a snack too close to bedtime. having a problem eating all my exercise calories back. have a good day folks.:flowerforyou:

Zan didn't do that well at the kid club gym. I didn't get all of my beginning session in. Next week, I will get him adjusted before I try to finish my beginning session. I was all excited to get working out and now I have to do it in very small segments. Oh well. Zan loves being in the pool. Time to sign him up for swim lessons. :) Have a great night!

In my area I had heavy winds, thunder, lightening, and heavy rain for a short bit last night.
I weighed myself this morning and it was up from yesterday's weight. I did like yesterday's weight. So I will report that in a seperate post.

Seems like I have a partner for the work fitness period. Walking for now. Working up to jogging. Today may be our first day. I'll let you know how it goes. If we don't get today, the goal is next week.

Did kickboxing last night. Was only able to do one class this week. Next week I hope to do 2 classes.

Enjoy the weekend. I am working...

    Here's today's weight 170.0 bodyfat 29.8

Yesterday was 168.8 bodyfat 29.5 So overnight the "fat gene" hit me??

Ran a 90 day report on weight. There was 10 weights listed from 176.2 to 168.8. As I averaged the weight out -- my average weight is 170.7lbs. Now, who wants to be average??????

    Take care

today's weight 183.2 down 3 lbs. Haven't really had an appetite this week, am exercising and not even getting close to my necessary cal intake. I ate yesterday 1250 something and needed 2030 something. I either need to cut back on my workouts or start eating more. I'm finding it difficult to balance this. I am about 5 lbs from my 178 goal wt by July 1...and have to get thru TOM..at day 18 now and have a wedding, 2 more grad parties, and Father's Day celebrations as well. The rest of the month is gonna be tough! Gotta keep my head straight!

storms all nite long...ds car is parked right outside our bedroom on driveway. every time the thunder shook the ground the alarm system on his car would go off...it's a series of different tones...very annoying! must have happened at least 10 times..all before 1am. then I woke around 3 and my shoulder was bothering me?? not feeling the greatest today, but gonna keep busy with projects here in the house. have a good day team! will post exercise plan later.

Barb, I don't wanna be obese. we both know what we think about the BMI chart! it states I need to be near 174 or 173. that's 10 lbs away... and I'm thinking I'm feeling pretty good right now, maybe overweight, surely not obese. suppose when I lose those 10 I'll feel 'normal', but actually be overweight?
  • PlumCrazyGirl
    PlumCrazyGirl Posts: 1,463 Member
Kelly, charts state for my height my current weight is obese.

For me to within normal range for height I need to get to 143.
    Yikes....

    I certainly don't feel obese.

I am 234 this week that is up 2 pounds. I need to lose 70 pounds to be in the "overweight" range and 98 pounds to be in the "healthy" range. My goal is 130 pounds but I am not sure if it is achievable. I don't ever remember being that weight not even in high school.
I NEED to start logging in my food. I am less likely to eat junk food if I have to log it because then everybody will know. I have adjusted my June goals so hopefully with my adjusted goals I will start losing weight. I have added exercise to my routine now so I will work on the eating healthy part.
I have a baby that is ready for bed. I will check in tomorrow. Good night Peppers!

I guess I should make myself a little clearer here...the highest weight for me in the 'overweight' range is 174.5. the highest weight for me in the 'normal' range is 145.3. now in high school I was 130-140, and felt larger than my friends, the early 80's a size 11/12, sometimes a 13/14....B36W28H38. when I got married in '87 I felt a little thinner and was more like 130, but a year later I was 123/125. and remember getting a pr of 8 jeans. We all know the 'sizes' have changed...like a 4/6 now use to be a 8/10? And don't they say the average American sized woman is a 12-14-16? Is that the 'old size' or the 'current size'? In '96 I attempted a healthier way to weight loss with Jenny Craig and exercise (a first for me)...just stretch and tone and stairs/7 flights at hospital job. Started at 177, and went to 143. I was in 8/10's, and felt pretty thin...still the 'old sizes' My lowest since then (a period of 15 yrs) has been 173/174. That seems to be my plateau wt or happy wt. The 1/2 way point between 145.3 - 174.5 is 159.9. My goal since joining MFP has been 160, and my cardiologist would like this as well. This will put my BMI at 27.5. Another thing that interests me is waist measurement. Have heard it should be below 35 for women or ideally, 1/2 your ht in inches. that would put me at 32...wow, I have a long ways to go!!

another bad nite sleeping. bout ready to start sleeping in the room I was in post surgery. had brat, chips, laffy taffy and brownies last nite. feeling bloated today. dh home and is baking a ham. wants me to make some party potatoes. won't be having any of THAT! wedding at 2pm.

    exercise goals 463 mintues

Yesterday my sister emailed me to come over for dinner. Note, my sister and I have not had the best relationship.
I declined stating I have personal issues I'm not interested in talking about and the kids are temporarily living w/my ex.

Her reply came back w/some angry words regarding how dare I not tell her what's going on in my life - that I need psychologocial help that I won't talk to family - if it's drugs/alcohol so be it - DYFS had every right to take the kids - it's best I should be alone to get my life together. I was upset -- furious - hurt - angry.

Drove home from work in tears, declined going out w/friends - cried once home....
Texted & voice mail my sister - no response.

My sister calls and I flat out give her what's been happening since March through angry tears. I explained I didn't want to say anything to her because I didn't want to look like a fool, she's not been divorced, she's not in joint custody, she didn't have a DYFS issue a no contact rule on her kids, she didn't have a man lie to her for 7+ years. Yes, you teach in an inner city school where your students have behavioral issues - but you leave work & come home. Her kids didn't get into drugs or alcohol like my daughter did. Cindy's silent then states she was sorry - had idea what I was dealing with.

After her call, my close friend calls me. I'm crying - Jim, I could handle what Dave did better than what Cindy did to me. She's not grasping my life isn't like hers.... she's been married for 20 years and I have one failed marriage and Dave lied to me throughout our relationship; how could she say those hurtful words.

About 1.5 hours later she texts me offering to take me out to a local resturant. I didn't want to see her - I was still hurt. Realized she was giving an olive branch as a peace offering. I should accept.

I met her & have drink/dessert. Well, as tasty as the drink was chocolate strawberry martini & dessert was brownie w/ice cream/whipped cream.

Delicious when eating..... this morning 4am I took double dose of pepto bismal --- woke up w/nauseous tummy.

That's what I get for talking to my sister! LOL.
Actually, that's the food causing my stomach to do flip flops today.

mornin' all. weekend was a total mess. epic fail. went to the wedding, alone. stopped at McD and DQ on way home...mcdouble, small fry, then..... small vanilla cone dipped in chocolate n another small fry. (McD are def better :embarassed: ) continued to eat bad the rest of that day into the evening, then basically did it all over again Sunday. chips, Laffy Taffy, yup, had me some party potatoes, ham, popcorn cooked on the stove and drizzled some melted butter on top. carb coma settled in bout mid afternoon. didn't do one act of exercise. was either watching tv or on the computer. did repair a necklace and start some laundry. positive ~ Sat/Sun nites I slept better. Shoulder has been bothering last few days....lack of movement? and today I am feeling crampy and lower back pain. I suppose...anywhere from 22-31 days..it's nearing. gonna go see if I can find that person that was here last week....
