April... WAY TO GO!! Those pictures truly are of two different girls... you're doing great!

I'm posting what I'm thankful for today...
The robins are chirping which means spring is near.
The evenings are brighter which means we can be outside longer and not stuck inside all evening.
I can run and "easy" two miles without even thinking about it. Yes, I break a sweat, but it's a GOOD sweat!!!!

Thank you nikster.. :) i appreciate it.. :) I feel like a different person..

I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy i must share. So tonight when i got home, my sister that hasn't really talked to me in years was on, so i messaged her.. And.................... She talked to me FINALLY. Its been nearly 6 years after our dad has passed away. It feels like a ton of bricks have been lifted. We agreed to move forward and keep it in the past. So finally, maybe all of us kids can get together. Hopefully we can catch up on the past 6 years. Some of you may think wow this is lame, but trust me its not. Its something Ive been trying to deal with for the past 4 years. I wanted it to be out of the way.. Thank God!!! :) I feel that everything is finally going to be ok. And hoping I can get together with my siblings again finally.. :) Yay.. So Tannie, be prepared for a get together in the future, im hoping!

OK I really promise that I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow! Been enjoying the gorgeous weather by being outside so much to let myself get wrapped up by playing online.

Happiness for today: we went looking for a bike for me and found some really cute options, we did another great chunk of work on the back yard and it is ever so much closer to becoming usable, and we had a delish dinner of corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes. A great Tuesday all around!

April: 1. You look amazing in that comparison pic, really it is a HUGE difference! You have come so far, you should be so proud of yourself! 2. I'm glad you are working things out with your sister. I know family can SUCK, and I am happy for you that you two have decided to put it in the past.

Woke up this morning after my first personal training session SORE. My abs are killing me! It feels great!

Yesterday was one of those amazingly great days. The kids were great, got to spend a lot of time with Hubs, got my double jogger, went to the gym, had an amazing dinner...one of those days to be thankful for. Today, the weather is supposed to be nearly summerlike and the girls and I are going out with the jogger for a nice long walk/jog and a play at the park. Maybe we'll bring a picnic too! It's amazing the affect the weather has on me. I'm not even that down being back up to 235 or getting my 44% body fat measurement yesterday (OUCH---something to work HARD on!). It's just facts of life that I can change with more sweat.

    Happy Wednesday all!

I'm happy it's in the forecast to be a nice day today.

I'm happy we have a big yard, so the kids and I can be outside for a good part of the day.

I'm thankful for my life! :flowerforyou:

    Happy Wednesday, Ladies!

April, you have made huge progress!! Congrats to you! And love the change of attitude too. Also, that's fab about your sister. It's only me and my brother and I don't know what I would do if we weren't in speaking terms so I can only imagine your huge sense of relief!

Only one happy for today: I fit into a size 10! Huzzah! Well, another happy, Insanity hasn't killed me yet! Yeah!

I gained this week but that's ok. It's just water weight and it will be off in no time :)

I got in 4.06miles today, bringing my total to almost 60miles completed!

My happy reasons for the day:

    It's 61 degrees and it's beautiful today!
I averaged 13.5min miles on my runs today!
I got to breifly see my only nephew and he actually smiled and giggled with me (he's only 2, but I've only seen him at major holidays in those 2yrs and maybe 2 non holiday times including today.... so he doesn't 'know' me very much..)

So far, a good day...feeling awesome.

Thanks April for the chat yesterday! It was great talking with you!

my three happy's for the week (ok 4)
    1) the weather is improving
    2) my Leslie Sansone DVD arrived- and so far I have tried day 1, 2 and day 1and 5 together
3)Hubby and I will be spending time with friends saturday (whom I haven't seen in months) for Mexican food ( hard to get here in Belgium)
    4) My new car arrives Monday (I have a company car (very common here) and very little choice on options but as my old car was worn out I got lucky and get to have a black car -as that is what is in stock- company policy is grey, blue or silver only and will be nice to be "different" with a black car  )

My happy thoughts for the day... 1) Sunshine and spring weather, 2) Kids got homework done with no arguing, and 3) my trucker hubby showed up for an evening at home unexpectedly!!!!

Tomorrow morning I'm planning 5 miles... hope the weather holds, I'm dying to get outside again!!!!

i worked out twice today.. :) Went for a 35 minute walk, then when i got out of work i worked out on the Elliptical Machine. I originally was only going to do 10 minutes on the ellipitcal machine, it was tough getting to that 10 minute mark, then I just made myself go for 5 more minutes. I felt that I needed the push. :) I made it and I felt soo much better..

After work, I decided to try on some pants to see if I could get me some new pants for work. I'm sick of having to pull my pants up every two minutes at work, due to them being EXTREMELY loose. I pick up two pairs of 18's which were jean like. One pare ALMOST fit, and the other not soo much.. then I picked up a pair of 16/18 knitted pants, and they fit.. :) yay. Concidering how before I had to wear 2x and 3x pants. :) So Ive lost atleast one pant size. :) I was soo happy I wanted to dance.. :)

Then my hubby brought home pizza and a pizza sub for me. I chose the sub, and at ONLY the sub. I didnt eat extra like i would have in the past. I was still a little hungry so I ate some of my dark chocolate almonds, and drank some water. Its helped.. Im full.. I didn't give into too much garbage today. :)

My three things im thankful for today..
1.) Me fitting in smaller pants.. :) Thats a huge victory.. :) I never thought id see 1x ever again.. If i keep losing weight Im afraid to see how my bathing suit is going to fit me this year.. :(

2.) i found everything within me to push through the pain to give me a harder workout. :) Im finding more determination than IVe had..

3.) I looked in the mirror and saw my neck thinning a little more. :) Or it seemed like it. It made me happy.. :)

Dont forget to wear your green tomorrow.. :)

tannie - nearly 20 pounds in four weeks?! That's phenomenal. *bow*

Bru - eeps that the inlaws are completely moved in. Johnny Five alive!! Oh, and tell me more about your Thai experience! What did you end up ordering? Hooray for getting money back from Verizon! Have fun with that! And look at that cute little fuzzy you have there. I wanna snuggle up with those ears!!

violet - I think you should totally challenge yourself to tracking your foods by color! That's so fun! Isn't raw green pepper delicious?! I've just discovered the awesomeness of the raw pepper. I like that fabric collection you picked out. You're going to have to show us what you create! For the scale challenge...maybe this will make you realize you're counting on the scale too much to make you feel your hard work and success. Not focusing on the number helps draw attention to other things that make you realize you're doing something great, like the way your clothes fit, the bouncier bounce in your step, a wider smile...things like that. Give it a shot!

JeninBelguin - WTG getting those DVDs out earlier this week! So most people in your area have company cars? How interesting. Yay for being able to get a black car!

fitterpam - sorry the loss wasn't as big as you'd hoped. Maybe just try and sneak a little exercise into your day, and day by day you'll just start adding on more time before you know it. Your food for St. Patrick's Day sounds divine!

ashley - holy guacamole woman...you kicked *kitten* with your exercising! Hope you had a ton of fun at the park with your kiddos!

CrystalS - for you chickadee!

nursee - sucks that negativity is contageous, huh? Maintaining your weight is still very much a success!

linemansgirl - we'll get you weened away from that scale of yours. You and I can do it together! Do you take your measurements?

ceelovejay - holy cow you're doing Insanity?! I can't wait to see your results! You took a "before" picture, right? And hell to the yeah for fitting into a size 10!! Congrats lady!!

bjshooter - don't get discouraged, darlin'. I have a friend who has been fighting with the same 1 lb. for the last, oh, 8 months or so. I know you're frustrated, but keep at it! Your kids are absolutely adorable!!

AprilVal - that's so cool that you've got your own little gym going on now! When I was using an elliptical, I always wanted to quit around the 11-13 minute mark. Once I pushed myself to get to the 15 minute, it was like I broke through a wall and could just be the Energizer bunny to get to the 30 minute mark. Find some good music that goes with your elliptical pace, that helps! The difference between those two pictures...wowzers! Very glad to hear you were able to talk through the problems you had with your sister. What a great door of oportunity opening for you! Congrats on your clothing victory as well. :)

Nikstergirl - yesssssssssssssss for an old Easter dress fitting! That's such a fun discovery. The birds are chirping here too! YAY! Although they were confused the other night and were squaking from mightnite to about 2A.

aprildauer - how does Leslie's classic walk compare to the hip hop one? Do you like either one better! I've done the classic walk videos, and I think a cardio burn one, but the hip hop one sounds intriging. Especially because Leslie is so adorable, thinking of her doing hip hop anything is just entertaining!

Chantal - for being in a restaurant for 5 days, that's a great loss! Don't you fret about it. :)

    ~*~*~

So my Wednesday happies were weighing in with a number in the 160s, getting an order for one of my Pretties, and ordering some St. Patrick's cupcakes from my favorite bakeshop. Can't wait to dive into a green velvet or Lucky Charms cupcake tomorrow!

Oh, and my sentimental green item is my St. Christopher necklace. Hubby gave it to me last St. Pat's day and I absolutely love it. For some reason it is very special to me and I wear it every day, all day (except the shower). If I don't have it on, I feel incomplete. When I want to wear another necklace to match my outfit, I still carry the necklace with me. There's just something about it that makes me feel connected to my hubby.

Hey Pink - it would seem I have yet to develop that green pepper love affair taste bud - wish I had that too as it is one of the few vegetables I have had success growing!

yep company cars are less expensive in the long run then give a raise because 1) no social security tax on cars 2) tax write off on investing in business related materials and 3)if we were given a raise then each time we had a cost of living % increase it would be cummulative on that as well

    green velvet cupcakes sounds yummy!

and very sweet about your St. Christopher's medal necklace!

Just a short second here to post as I should be working, but I was so excited I had to share! Somehow, some way, whatever I have been doing since Friday has paid off. I was 237 on Friday (home scale) and discouraged as that is up 5 pounds from the previous week with no particular explanation. This morning, I stepped on and was 234.6...so that's what 2.5 pounds or so in 6 days?! YESSSSSSSSSSSSS. 2.5 more and I'll be back down to my -21 pound status and back in the game. I am SO relieved.

PS I almost forgot today was Irish Pride Day! I am psyched to cook my first ever corned beef and cabbage and whole grain soda bread (I stole that idea from a poster here...THANK you for the idea! It looks fantastic!!). Happy St. Patty's Day all!!

violet and pinky, I love raw peppers but really dislike green peppers the most. They're just not as sweet at red, yellow and orange. I can eat those all day!

pinky, thanks so much! I am doing Insanity. Today was Day 4 and not bad at all. It was cardio recovery so no jumping around but tons of squats and lunges. My legs were screaming at me. I screamed back at them to shut up.

April, congrats on moving down a size. Fab work!

    ashley, yay!! Good job!

Sounds like everyone is doing FANTASTIC!!!!! I'm so proud of all of us.

    My three things today are:
    1. 70+ degrees today!!!
    2. Planting some flower seeds today
3.My skirt felt really big today when I put it on this morning.

So far this week, we've had raw green peppers. We LOVE peppers. Each year we plant several plants in our garden and then have to chase the kids out once they start having peppers on them. They like to pick them as soon as they appear after the flower instead of waiting for it to grow into a big juicy pepper. One year my 2 year old grabbed a HOT green pepper instead of the Bell Pepper. :smokin: She ate it though - I was completely shocked. She didn't get any more peppers by herself for a while after that.

Today we're having asparagus - another favorite. We'll probably have salad with more peppers and cucumbers.

It's going to be a great day!!!

Keep up the good work, Ladies!!!!!!!! You're doing great! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • Everyone is doing fantastic!!!!! Woohooooo!!!!!!

My mind has been so cluttered the past couple of weeks, so I have had a hard time posting. My mind probably just matches my cluttered, currently being remodeled house.

My three things for today are -
    1. I was 164.5 this morning and reached my next mini goal!!! Only 0.5 lb to a healthy BMI!
    2. It is supposed to be 78 degrees outside today!!!
    3. I am on Day 9 of P90X. I'm loving it and seeing changes in my body!!!

Have a fantastic St. Patrick's Day ladies!!!!

Good Morning to my fellow H20'ers, I hope this beautiful Thursday has found you well. :) Happy St Patty's day. If you celebrate, remember to use self control. Don't want to get all out of wack from it. :)

If you are struggling this week, get your BUTT up. Once you start moving you will feel ten times better. Trust me. I have many days I don't want to, but I never regret it.

The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible. - Arthur C. Clarke

Come on ladies, lets get this day going.. ;) move those arms and legs.. get that heart racing. Keep hydrated..

Hoping to have some good numbers this week. :)

Happy St. Patrick's day!!!! I remembered to wear green this morning, which was also a treat because I haven't worn this green shirt in a few years!!! Good thing my style really hasn't changed at all!

Managed a 5 mile run this morning! It was supposed to be a tempo run at about the tempo you plan to race at (I'm still so new to this it's hard for me to pace myself) but I did exactly what I'd hoped! Five miles in exactly an hour.... didn't think I could go that fast, but it felt pretty good!!! I'm officially more than halfway done with our 100 mile challenge!!! Wahoo!!!

So my happy thoughts for today are....
    1) It's springtime and therefore the beginning of my favorite time of the year!
    2) My husband is going to be home for the weekend including our sons' birthday party Saturday night! We're playing laser tag with our family and I can't wait to shoot some little munchkins!!! LOL!
    3) I have today off and really don't have a ton planned which is so different from most of my days off!!!

    Enjoy your days!!!
