Bump.
My personal goal this week is to stay under my calories for all 7 days, with no exceptions, no excuses. It's just 7 days right. I can do it for 7 days right. They say it takes 21 days to make a habit, and 21 seconds to break it. Let's see what I can do in 7. I can't remember the last time I had two days in a row where I was on target with my calories. But today will be day 1.0 -
Okay...so pretty positive my pinky toe is indeed broken. DARN! SO...exercise will most likely be minimal for the next while...sucks big time!! So my focus this next week will be on my calorie intake and I'll be trying to do some Ab workouts and light walking.0

Kristin - So sorry to hear about your toe. Such a BIG pain for such a small digit. My son fractured his pinky knuckle on his left (dominant) hand on Friday at school and it's amazing how hard it is to even button shirts and such for him. I hope you feel better very soon. Take care of it.
AFM:
Well, I stayed within my calories yesterday....barely. I had eaten most of my calories before 10 am so I had to eek the last 300 calories out the rest of the day. I went to the gym with my daughter to run and was told she could not be on the treadmills (after she had been going for two weeks already). Tried doing a family walk and didn't even get ice cream, but in an hour of walking I only burned 120 calories. Subtracting the 100 calories of my basic burn, that left me with a whole whopping 20 calories extra. My heart rate was running really low yesterday so I couldn't get it going. Went to bed at 7, I was so exhausted. Lets see what today holds out.

Hi ladies! I'm really going to try this time... Work has been stressing me out (for no good reason) so I've been eating a ton lately. MFP really helps me to stay honest. Starting out this time at 148lbs which is about 4lbs lighter than I expected my weight to be. I guess that's a good thing...
Anyway, I'm off to walk the dog this morning. She got 3 40+ minute walks yesterday, so she should be good and tired this morning. Have a great Tuesday everyone!0 -

GOOD morning!!! I am SO happy about my 1/2 pound loss this week!! It was a HARD week. Being sick Friday-Sunday and then my stupid toe...plus my eating was all over the place. Now I'm pumped for a good week!! Exercise goals this week may vary, depending on my toe. And I think running is out of the picture for a while. Oh well. I also think I'm quitting the Slim in Six. I think Jillian works me SO much better!! Does anyone have her new ab workout yet? I want to get it!

Food--
B-Oatmeal, light juice, coffee w/sugarfree creamer
S-Banana, Kashi bar
L-Salad (spinach, mixed greens, baby tomatos, spritzer dressing), light yogurt, boiled egg
S-Fresh pineapple (that I brought home from Texas...SUPER yummy!)
D-Teriyaki chicken, mixed vegetables...maybe some pasta on the side

Nope, just very strict with myself. I haven't had any junk food or off days since I started back to MFP two months ago.
My daily 'treat' is a deep chocolate Vitamuffin vitatop which is actually good for you since it has lots of fibre (8g), low calories (100), low sugar (6g), good protein (5g), low fat (1.5g), okay carbs (24g). It satisfies my chocoholism and I feel like I've treated myself.

Hey Sixers! It has been forever since I used MFP... and the scale shows it... I need the sixers back in my life (it has been a year, or more since I did my last sixers challenge)! I took some time off from MFP and then tried WW... neither seemed to do the trick... I have been gaining weight like crazy... I am at an all time high today but I know I can get back down to my goal weigh if I put in the work... I hope you guys don't mind if I jump back in with you!

Well, gained a half pound this week. Don't know what happened, cause I was down 2 lbs yesterday morning. Must have been something I ate last night. I need to find my groove. I'm really wanting to get off some of this weight by July for vacation. Need to find something for my coffee and my ice cream. Haven't really looked though, but will. Also, gotta get in those fruits and veggies. Bought some baby carrots and have been munching on them. Oh, well, always next week.

Hi Shanell! I find that the Simply Enjoy Rasberry Sorbet fills the ice-cream void.... I'm sure other brands are good as well... I like this brand as it is really creamy (for sorbet) and it low in fat and calories compared to even light ice cream... good luck!0

Not surprised or shocked by my .5 lb gain, TOM is in session.

I don’t think I have ever talked about it, but let me give you a little history on my weight gain. Six years ago when I first met DH, I was down around 170. I know that I have gotten comfortable in my relationship, but damn 40 lbs(that’s not comfort). Even my general physician commented on my weight when I saw him last, and I don’t see him that often. January of last year I started my weight loss journey with an awesome deal with DH. We talked about what I wanted my goal to be by June. He told me that if I hit my goal, he would take me shopping. I was all over it…I wanted to lose the weight and get the cute little close that came with. I was giving myself 6 months to lose 30lbs…I thought that was reasonable. V-day came and I told him instead of flowers and chocolates, I wanted the EA Active for the wii, and I got it! I loved it and was doing it all the time. By the time I knew it June came and went but the weight didn’t and no new clothes in my closet. August I started with MFP, and then I have found you guys. I have been trying since so hard through my food and exercise (whenever I haven’t been hurt). Tired of not losing and being so overly discouraged I decided to talk to the Dr. A real concern of mine is family history. My mom is extremely overweight and I don’t want to end up like her. She also has problems with her thyroid, has PCOS and is diabetic. Needless to say I am afraid to go down that same road. So I went to Dr last week and he send me to have my blood drawn. Monday they called everything came back normal, what a relief. So opens a new chapter in my life, he is now referring me to a weight loss clinic. Sorry this ended up being so long, but I felt the need to get it out and talk about it. I am so over being overweight!
I would like to do some personals, but I have already talked a whole lot and I really need to get back to work. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and maybe I will get a chance later to get back on!

GREAT :mad: today i dropped a table on my toe and ive bruised it quite badly. The nurse said I cant do any vigorous exercise apart from swimming for five days NOOOO! :frown: I miss the gym especially since its been about a month since ive last lsot anything. It's annoying me, as sometime I have a mid-week weigh in and last week, I weighed 126.5lbs but when it comes round to my official weigh in, ive gone up again :grumble:0

lauren...what kind of weight loss clinic? i know where you are coming from my highest was 286. didn't even bother me. then the doctor said one day after taken blood "your diabetic right?" i said no. he said "well you are now". that was june 16, 2006. funny how i remember that date. on june 17th i attended a class and the 18th began counting carbs. 45 for each meal. 15 for morning and afternoon snack and 30 for evening snack. that was all i counted and in 7 months i dropped 80+ pounds. since i than i have quit smoking (in 07), Dh has lost 2 jobs. and i found all but 37 of those lost pounds. so i feel your pain. i was thrilled to be in cute clothes for a 50 yr old woman. people told me i looked good. i felt good. it's an everyday struggle. life is what we live. it's something i have to learn to live with. struggles are going to be in my life. everyday is a struggle. i have a food addiction. my endocrinologist has suggested putting me on drugs for things i don't have, because the side effect is weight loss. not going down that road. doesn't matter anyway. i will eat even if i am not hungry. that's what i do. sorry i rambled on. speaking of stress. it's in my house right now. VERY strong and stressful around here. DH and i have hardly spoken to each other. i didn't even eat dinner tonight. i have eaten all day. doesn't matter.
well, better go get ready for bed.

Today was my second day staying within my calories. Again, I ate the bulk in the morning so was eating just fruit and veggies the rest of the day. Need to stop stress/boredom eating in the morning and spreading it out. We'll see how it goes today as I already know we are doing Chinese for dinner, so I'm conscious that I need to have a decent amount of calories for an early dinner. Here goes...0 -

Sheesh...I am NOT good at staying within calories without exercise! Okay...last night was my fault (and I also blame it on TOM) but I had some dairy queen ice cream! Aaahh!! It was a small, but still...
But really...how do you ladies stay within calories on days without exercise. My goals put my at 1200 for my calorie amount, and you all see what my diet looks like...I think pretty good...and when I exercise, I usually have EXTRA calories for the day. It makes it VERY hard during times like now when I'm injured or sick and can't exercise. Any thoughts? I guess I'm just curious as to how you all cope and maybe what your goals look like?
Okay...toe update: still sore as heck! BUT...not nearly as black and blue as it was! There is now pinkness back in my toe! YAY!! Hoping for a fast recovery!! I'm thinking that I may try some Jillian again this weekend...slowly...omitting any jumping or balancing on my toes for anything...that means yoga is out for a while...bummer! Oh well.
