BUMP0

So thrilled to be down another pound today (Saturday)! I knew that water weight had to come off sometime.
Shouldn't we all be "raindrops" by now, instead of snowflakes, since we are all melting?
Just a thought on a happy morning for me. So glad to be on target again, and only 15-16 pounds from goal! I really love all you MFPeeps for keeping me motivated and on track!0 -

Fantastic! I know you have to be sooo excited0 -
151.7 this week. No time to read or post much, but staying with my calorie goals. Wish I had more time to exercise, but, unfortunately, work calls this time of year. Heading that way now . . . exercise later today!!0

I loved reading through everyone's plans!! :drinker: Nothing but success and positive vibes going on around here. :happy:Also, I am still trying to eat a serving of fruit and vegetable with every meal. A half of apple or a bundle of grapes with my cereal or oatmeal, toss a banana or strawberries in with my protein. Usually I'll have a salad or stirfry to up my veggies with dinner. The last few nights, I could have done better, but I did what I could do. I am also drinking water with every meal. Ideally, I would like to drink 20 oz, but even if its just 8 oz, that would be good.0

One of my MFP friends had this as a quote on their status, "Obsession is just a word the lazy use to describe the dedicated"
I love these motivational words people offer around here, because just this morning, I was thinking, Hmm, I really don't feel like working out, I deserve a rest day...And then I made a cup of coffee. Then I looked at the clock, thought of that quote above and saw that it was 8.15. I thought, Come on L, bt 9 o'clock, you could be right here sipping your morning cuppa joe and hang out on MFP....And that's what I did. I like pulling out the old stuff on the weekends so today's choice was Jillian Michael's Banish Fat Boost Metabolism. An oldie but a goodie! I can't believe that I used to think a gym was "required" for a good working...NOPE, just a little obsession, I mean dedication!
Have a happy Saturday everyone.0 -
Good Saturday Snowflakes/RainDrops/SnowShines! Well I am feeling good about my loss this past week. Funny thing is, I didn't workout much due to the work stress. But at the same time, I didn't use it as an opportunity to binge or just eat whatever I wanted to. So I am definitely happy about that. I think this half of the challenge I am really going to step up the strength training so that I can have that toned looking going into the summer. I am also going to work on the tummy a lot more. I have lost a significant amount of weight from the top of my body....but I want to work on these thighs! Or I wont be hitting a bathing suit at all! LOL. I will say this...I am very proud of how far I have come. I am actually planning on posting the pics of me where I was a my heaviest. They are extremely embarrassing, but I want people to understand that it is doable!
Also, like I said before...my wonderful "hubby" lost my beginning pictures. So I will have to use pictures I took January 16th and then pictures I took on the 18th of this month for comparison. Will post those for real this time tonight! LOL
Very proud of all of you for making it this far. Such strong women to be in company with!0 -
Hello Sunshines!
I am happy with my loss this week... .almost a pound (.9). I'll take it and stand proud because I achieved one of my mini goals 4 weeks early!
I am going to get in more water, a constant battle for me! I am pretty good on the veggie front, but need to increase my fruit intake a bit. For March I challenged myself to do JM's 30 Day Shred. And have not missed a day. However I am taking my time. The first 21 days I did Level One, am now on Level Two, but prefer L1 much better. I think it is because I have bad knees. So I will go with how I feel everyday and not set self up for feeling bad. I am doing more than I ever thought possible.
Now that the weather is supposed to be getting better I am getting out for more walks with my dog (who is basically going for a drag!) and my ipod. My husband, in his endevour to support me signed me up for a 10km walk at the end of May! He's running a half marathon!!!
For the next half of this challenge I will continue on eating well, staying under my cals and eating a good portion of my exercise cals, since it seems to be working for me.
Here's to the Sunshine part of our challenge! Bring on Spring/Summer.
Congrats on meeting your mini goal and on the 10K walk!! You'll do great!! Keep up the hard work!0 -

CONGRATS!! That is a HUGE accomplishment! :bigsmile:0 -
So, I just wanted to share that I am beginning to see some SERIOUS muscle definition, especially in my biceps, calves and even my quads!! AND my collarbones are on full display now and you can even see my neck muscles. It sounds funny, but I love being able to see my neck muscles!! LOL.
On another note, every muscle in my back, chest and arms is STILL sore from my intense workout on Thursday...along with my butt! It still hurts a little to sit! No pain, no gain!!
Tomorrow I'm running another 6 miles and my 10K is a week from today! SO EXCITED!!
P.S. I don't know if any of you are basketball fans, but I SO proud of my Jayhawks making the Elite 8! Rock Chalk Jayhawk!! :bigsmile:0 -
So I saw under 200 (199.7) today on the scale that would be the first time in almost 9 years I have been under 200. But not counting it just yet! That makes me very happy and motivated to keep on keep on! I will be back later to post my goals and plans for the second half! You all ROCK!0

Just popping in to say Hello :flowerforyou:
Life is great!!!!
Good Luck to you all on this journey, I wish you all the very best!!!!!!
Have A Fantastic Weekend!0 -
Ok so I don't see much of a difference...but hey
Now the March photos...
Ok Snowflakes...you guys are lucky that I love you all because these are pictures of me at my heaviest....
So disgusted when I first found these a few weeks ago on my camera...but it definitely reminded me of how far I have come!0 -
i see you fixed them.0
-
KrysT - I can tell a HUGE difference, especially from your highest weight. You may not like those pictures now, but you'll be glad you have them when you reach your goal weight! Then you can truly see how far you've come!
Great job!!!0 -
HOLY MOLEY KRYST YOU LOOK LIKE A WHOLE NEW PERSON!! WOWOWOWOW0

Congratulations!!!!!!0 -
Krystle, holy moly girl, are you feeling ok?? You don't see a big difference? Really?? Those pics are amazing! You look fan-freaking-tastic!!!! What an incredible journey- you have done an amazing job and it SHOWS for sure!!!! So happy for you and your accompishments.. I still have yet to deal w/ my before and after pics but you have inspired me to do so!! Such awesome progress, girl! You are to be commended!!!0
-
Well I mean I don't see much of a difference from the January pics to the ones I just took. I definitely see a difference in the pics of me at my heaviest to now. I mean even in my facial expression! That was a real low point for me and I'm definitely happier now! Thank you everyone for not judging my gross stretch marks and fat rolls lol....I didn't realize how bad you could see them until after I posted them. Then it was like DANG IT EMBARRASING lol. Ah well, you guys are my family...so I had to share.0
-
Krystle - REALLY BIG DIFFERENCE!!!! Way to GOOOO!!0
-
Krystle - Impressive, impressive how far you've come! Now for the contest, it's hard to see with the angles of the pictures, but you look slimmer in the side view especially.
(I still have to TAKE the damn pictures. Sorry!)0 -
Krystle, there is definitely a difference in the side views! And the original...Wow! I bet when you were standing there, disgusted with yourself, that you never imagined becoming a fitness diva, an encourager of others, a leader and an inspiration! You have come so far, not just in weight loss, but in becoming you! This journey has made you who you are, and since you are spectacular, never put down any step on that journey, even the pictures you find embarrassing. I'm pretty sure Abraham Lincoln wasn't proud of his many failures, but I bet it would make him very happy to know that those failures now inspire people almost as much as his incredible successes. You should feel just as blessed! Without those "fat" pictures, you wouldn't be where you are today!
Love you!0 -
Ok so I thought of another exercise for us to do....I want everyone to post what they are most proud of thus far on this journey. It does not have to be pounds related...but what are you proud of that you may not have been able to do before that you can now?0
-

Girl I can't wait to see ONEderland! I think I just might cry lol. Awesome job girl...keep up the hard work!0 -
Happy Sunday Snowflakes, or should I say sunshines? I have been horrible these last couple of weeks!!! no working out, and eating horrible!!! So i am definately ready to get back at it. So my goals for this week:
Get working out again
Eat breakfast daily
No more fast food!!!
Ok i know these arent huge goals but hey i need babysteps to get back into this...i have been so bad lately its going to be like im starting over!!! So i will definately need you guys now more than ever, i have gotten soooo lazy and out of it!! so help me snowflakes!0 -
Amanda, its not quite time to say sunshine just yet. We had a few snow flurries yesterday, but nothing that stuck. I have tried to give up fast food a long time ago. Once you go so long without it, you don't even miss it anymore.
I need to replenish my fruits and veggies. i think that helped me to be so successful last week and I'd like to carry that momentum into April and beyond!0 -

I know the feeling of "starting over"I had to do the same thing right before the challenge started. All of November and December I did NOTHING at all! But you can definitely do it girl...just focus on your goals and stay strong. We are all here for you.0
