Weigh in day for me today - and I'm finally starting to see the weight shift..... I'm at my lowest since starting the weight loss journey almost a year ago (April 30 is my one year)
April - that's horrible that you had to do it, but you're right, it's over with. Sounds like a relaxing evening last night and a fresh hair do today. Good for you!
Jenn - 9 miles is a long walk. Were you just exploring or did you have a destination in mind (like a library or a store)? I love to explore and find I can go forever without getting tired, but when we're walking towards something, I complain the whole way.....LOL
Bru - Sounds like you're anticipating a lot of stress.....and that's probably stressing you out.......You are strong and will be able to handle things as they come up.....no point in waiting for the milk to spoil.....if you can drink it before that point, you're causing yourself more stress than you need :flowerforyou:
Ashley - I've lost 50+lbs and I'm still wearing mostly the same clothes....I think I was probably on a 2x/3x verge and I'm now on the 1x/2x verge.....so all my 2xs are still fitting and I'm not quite sure how......LOL My DH also had the same issue and he's lost about 23lbs too.....Yesterday he put on a shirt that he hasn't worn in a year and someone at work commented on how much better it fit than last year (it's a Hawaiian shirt and they have a Hawaiian day every spring....LOL so it was memorable). Is it possible that your old clothes weren't fitting you before (too tight) and now they're maybe fitting better? Have you taken your measurements? That should show you where you're seeing the most results....0 -
Had an interesting Saturday! My Dad would have been 66 yesterday.. he died in 1993 and I miss him so much. My sister and I were both feeling sorry for ourselves so we decided to take a road trip to IKEA!!!! It was awesome. We brought her daughter and after IKEA went to the mall for some more retail therapy. Sure took our minds somewhat off of missing Dad and how awesome it would be if he could be the Grandpa we knew he'd have been if given the chance. The main reason we did this is my sis is getting hardwood floors tomorrow and she needed some rugs... but I love an excuse for a road trip! (Ikea is like 2.5 hours away).
So anyway, I did run before we shopped yesterday.. four miles! Then I figured we walked about another four, but I'm not counting those, since my pedometer didn't work right and I really don't know for sure. As close as I am I'm not worried. I did count the exercise for the calories though... didn't really have a food plan for the day which is weird for me! Ended up having supper at Zoup, which was great, and I stayed under cals for the day, which is even better!
So, long story, but I'm still a little down from the birthday that wasn't yesterday. I miss Dad so much.... but he's part of my motivation to get and stay as healthy as I can. I don't want to die before I'm a grandma!!! He never even made it to our weddings... and that still makes me sad. I will be there for my husband and my kids and my future grandkids... and I will do whatever it takes to be there and be active and healthy as well!!!!!
Oh... and April... you are SO strong!!!! Good for you for looking that creep in the eye and holding your head high! People who violate children should not only be ashamed.. they should be strung up by their fingernails and spat upon!!!! I have no tolerance for that, and I know it wasn't easy, but you are the better person here.. and you know that! It must have been hard, but now that it's over I hope you can move on and rise above! You're awesome!!!!!
Ok, that's all... thanks.0 -
