Hello fellow Slicksters!!!!

Let's use this thread to see where we're all at and to motivate if needed.

I'm back to "healthiness" after a 2 month hiatus and am doing good thus far. I'm a full-time mommy, wife, employee and student and have recently restructured and reorganized my life to help me stick this out and FINALLY reach my goal weight. So what all are you doing to lose weight? I started P90 (for the 2nd time) this past weekend and am hoping it helps me tone up a bit. I also enjoy running outside but am waiting for the weather to break here in Pittsburgh so I can resume that (I loathe the treadmill)!

I run and do dvd's. The weather in PA has been cold, I am out past Harrisburg - but I have been the insane running lady in our neighborhood who has gone out in the cold early AM to run because I made a NY resolution to run a half marathon next weekend. We spent 10 years in Wisconsin previous to this winter, so the cold didn't bother me too much, but I do not enjoy frozen eyebrows and eye lashes. It has worked though. I've lost 24 pounds so far. Glad to hear from someone else in PA. Good luck.

Kudos to you for bearing the cold! :drinker: And good luck in the marathon, I wanted to do the half in Pittsburgh this year but it coincides with my finals so I decided to try to complete P90 instead. :ohwell:

    Hey fellow teammates!!!

I am a full time SAHM of 3, doing in home daycare in my home 50 hours a week and will be a full time student in the Fall. I have a passion for running and am starting to learn to like my elliptical and incorporate some beach body videos into my weekly workout routine. Mostly running is my fav though. Have a personal goal of running one under 30 minutes that I would really love to meet sometime this year.

I'm very excited about our group - changing things up a bit starting yesterday - going to try and eat my 1200 a day and then 200-300 back from exercise cals per a suggestion from a MFP friend. HRM has been off due to high heart rate and so it's made me plateau for a month now. Looking forward to losing and finally getting out of the 170's for good!!

So nice to read about you. Katie - we'll help support you so you get to your goal this time - and maybe we will all be reaching our goals at about the same time. :)
Knelson- I live in MN so I understand the running in the cold thing . I've gone out a few times with treads on my shoes, but I'm not a huge fan of breathing in the cold...brrrrrr. So cute what you said about frost on your eyelashes and eyebrows. :) Brave girl!!! What videos do you do? Congrats on the 1/2 marathon coming up - how awesome!!!

Healthy goal for the week: 64 oz of water every day, 16 oz extra if you exercise (80 oz)

Reward for the highest percentage of weight loss for week of April 4th:

you will have an additional 0.25 lb weight deduction for the final tally on April 11th, giving you a slight advantage

    Now, go drink water......

I think there are 9 weeks total in this challenge. I've given a breakdown of the game play. So, if you see any problems with them, let me know so we can make changes. So, here's the breakdown on the prizes for the weigh-in challenges:

April 4, 0.25 lb weight advantage (to be ADDED to your weight LOSS)
April 11, 0.25 lb to give to any player of your choice (too be DEDUCTED from their weight LOSS)
    April 18, Trade a player
    April 25, Immunity for yourself
May 2, Give immunity to someone of your choice
May 9, Choose your reward except for immunity to yourself
May 16, Change the weigh-in day, must be a weekday
May 23, 0.25 lb weight advantage
May 30, 0.25 lb to give to the other player

This should conclude our contest...I will mail the prize to the winning contestent when we are finished...I don't think I will need postage:bigsmile:

Ohh...nice. This is going to be so much fun. Thanks for putting it together - great ideas in my opinion. After we're all done with this, we will have to do one in June again with our group just to keep the motivation going. WHooot!

Katie - still laughing at your spam accounts comment. Too funny!

Hi Everyone! How's your week going? As long as I behave this weekend, I think I'll have a great weigh in on Monday! Yay!

I'm hoping and praying to finally break this plateau. Today has been hard, but I just did a beach body video and have some breathing room now. I feel that as long as I can get past afternoon snack, I can conquer. I do daycare and all these kids eating around me at 3:00 can be a challenge. Planning on doing a movie day with popcorn...I need to stay away from it!! Out of 100 cal popcorn packs and this is from our popcorn machine (made with oil). So..not even going to eat one kernal. And just getting past that will make me feel like I'm well on my way to a great weekend.

On a side note, I was in a biggest loser challenge on facebook which came to an end today. A gal won out of the blue...wasn't really in the top 5 ever. And she lost 16 lbs from Monday-today. How is that possible? Makes me feel bad for those who were #1-#5 because it just doesn't seem fair...is that possible? Someone had to personally see her weigh in today to verify it and she weighed that. Wonder if she has a dial scale and not digital?

Stick with it ladies and DON'T GIVE UP! I had a nearly perfect week with my eating/exercise so I'm very pleased.

Irishgal - That SUCKS about the competition on fb! I was in a BL comp on here before, with a group I kept up with very frequently and we all became good friends and something similar happened. It was between me and this other woman, we had the highest % the whole time, she was down in like the 160s and the last week she pulled something like a 7 lb loss and beat me by a fraction of a %. Come to find out she had went on a liquid diet that last week, WELL NO WONDER YOU WON - YOU WEREN'T EATING!!!!!! :explode: I didn't think that was healthy to do, nor fair considering the competition. No one backed me up on that so I don't even talk to them any more. People! :grumble:

Ooohhhh girls...looks like we had super awesome week but not quite enough. What a close race!!!! So sad to see Charlie go and our team losing . Let's let this be motivation to really work hard this week. Who's with me?

What are your challenges this week? How are you going to overcome them?

My challenge is going to a Twin's game on Sunday and our family going to Minneapolis on a mini-vacation. Ordering pizza Saturday night and game food on Sunday. Any suggetions as to how I can stay in line? I want to kick *kitten* for all of us on Monday. Remember, week 2 is always the hardest week to lose big - let's prove that theory wrong!!

I would like to point out the highlights of Week #2's weigh-in

    First, Lindsey is our superstar....
    1) New personal low weight recorded
    2) Busted thru the 170s into the 160's
    3) Winner of the 0.25 lb advantage for the week

    Second, weight busters....
    1) Irishgirl, busted thru the 180's into the 170's
    2) McFatterton, busted thru the 190's into the 180's

    Third, nine lives award....
Faith, look at the numbers...need I say more

    Fourth, things to watch
    1) MszShogan, will she bust thru the 170's this week
    2) Skinnyby 29, will she bust thru the 230's this week

Remember, the next weeks winner gets to throw a little power around ...yep, that right....we will look at you with fear in our eyes as you decide who gets the 0.25 lb disadvantage the following week

Who's going to the be the recipient of the 1st Fit-n-Trim to Win Challenge....will it be you?????

Crazy busy life has caused me to not work out the past 2 days! :explode: BUT, I've been on point with my eating so that's good. The weather is a little warmer here so I'm thinking a run outside today, that's always good for a nice calorie burn! What have you all been up to?

Since the Slimsters lost a group member we're even again so LET'S PULL OUT THE WIN THIS WEEK LADIES!!!!!! :drinker:

I'm a little worried about Kim. She suggested I eat a piece of cake this morning (LMAO)....but worried she's been threatening her own teammates. They are dropping like flies over there....buahahahahahahahaha!!!

I've done well this week. My husband is FINALLY seeing a difference all of a sudden and kept looking at me last night and shooting compliments to me. Felt so good. I can't wait until I'm out of these jeans. Would love to be an official size 10 since I'm a 12 right now and I wore them 20 lbs ago. Man, they must have been TIGHT. LMAO. But they are loose on me but not to the point where I'm down a size. Irritating. So that's my next goal - a new size.

Today, I did sneak a peak.. and I'm officially 20 lbs less than I was in January! Feeling great - added a picture of my before/after in my profile. Feels good to be here and I cannot wait to be in the 160's finally. Maybe in a couple of weeks!!! Yippie!!

Oh...and bronchitis pretty much cleared up and I'm able to exercise again, so feeling great. Hope everyone else is having a great one too!

Kim's a brat too, don't mind her! She's just mad that we're all on the same page again.......and we're soon to one-up her team!
It's good to see results, and I know that when my husband notices then I've REALLY made a change (he's beyond unobservant)! Keep it up!

I got outside for a run/walk (awesome weather today), and burned about 2 days worth of calories. So now I'm feeling a little better about missing the last 2 days of exercise.....back on track for me!

I finally got my butt back to the gym on my lunch break today! I'm pretty worried about the next weigh in. I usually don't have as big of a weight loss as I did last week and Kim is targeting me for the 0.25 gain penalty!
