I had a not bad weekend. Had Easter dinner and took it easy with the white carbs.
Loaded up with veggies.
Yesterday I had good foods with leftoverham, some chicken, veggies, but chocolate.
ummmm well eat it and it's gone out of the house right? NO temptations then.
I didn't get a run/workout in on saturday and got home late sat night. So sunday night I got a 8km jog in.
61 mins and 950 cals burned off.
Have a great day everyone. drink lots of water, flush out that sodium from the weekend.0 -
Hey all,
It's been kinda crazy around my neck of the woods with school and work. But, I'm glad to see you all here. This semester is over for me on May 3rd and I'm excited to dedicate time on my workouts again.
Sending you all well wishes and happy to be with you.0 -
Hello Blues. I didn't have a chance to get on the computer much this weekend. I splurged a little, but I think I did okay. I am back to logging again today. I'm doing better on my water, but haven't gotten back into exercising, so that is my goal for this week.0
-
Just popping in to say hi at the end of my busy day. I told you I would be back on course today after my 3 days of no logging, and I made it back! I also made it to the swimming pool, so a good day all around. Good night friends!
Mayra, good to see you!0 -
Hi all sounds like you had a great weekend. Ours was pretty basic and boring. With too much candy. I realized that I bought as much as I usually do it just seemed gluttonous to me this year. And then it was tasting too sweet and I didn't want to eat it. Wierd! I don't think I have ever said chocolate Is too sweet before. We have decided to start looking for a new vehicle. Mine is eleven years old and has been In the shop five times this year ! I've had it! It will be fun to look. Its just a lot of money. Today I am sending my hubby off to new jersey for the rest of the week. He has a business conference. I am not looking forward to his leaving.
Mayra good to see you I hope everything continues to go well for you. Hopefully we will see more of you in may !
Mary and karen, way to get back on the wagon. Wahoo!
Peter I bagged up all our candy and hid it. I figured the kids didn't need to eat it either. I may just give it away. It would be wasteful to not eat it right? Your easter dinner sounds good. I didn't even make an official meal for Sunday. Talk about unprepared!
Here's to great choices!!0 -
Hey all.
Hope everyone's doing well. Nicer weather is happening and coming in most places. If we have time, we should get a least a walk outside.
Nice to see you back Mayra.
Debnu, I think that's a great idea. Kids can only eat so much candy. Think about kids somewhere that don't have that much candy, and it will make you feel so great giving that extra candy to other kids that aren't so fortunate.
I didn't get a workout in yesterday, so had to get one in tonight. Got 8kms in for 930 calorie burn in 62 mins.
i'm noticing my heart rate max not getting as high, and not burning as much calories doing the same run.
I've sorta looked it up, but this freaked me out.
Last week i had a shower after my run and noticed the smell of javex/ammonia. I thought my wife just poured some down the bathtub drain that's how strong it was... I was wondering. Then this happened again end of last week. Strong ammonia smell, I looked it up, and now I know to make sure I have some carbs before or while I do my run.
Make good choices everyone.0 -
Hi all...Hope you all had a great Easter. I am doing a little better after my epidural. Hopefully I will progress even more over the next week. After next Thursday I can start gradually exercising again, just no high impact. I will try the elliptical. I started logging my food again this morning. Had to grab a fast food breakfast before taking my son to school. DO NOT GET the blueberry minis from Burger King! 15 grams of fat and 390 calories and certainly don't get two orders of them:laugh: Oh well, at least I logged it huh? Hope you all have a great day. I'll try to catch up on everybody later today.0
-
Tammy - good to see you back! I practically won't order any fast food without looking at their nutrition facts, because if I order something that I think shouldn't be too bad, I almost always get burned. It's a bummer, because by the time you have to research, the fast food is not as fast as you needed it! Oh, well, chalk it up to a learning experience I guess.0
-
Peter, I think you need carbs stat! I was so afraid of going into ketosis when I started P90x, that I messed up my eating big time. My hubby made the statement that my breath smelled sweet and that through me off the wagon.
Today I gave my kids vitatops for breakfast and they loved them. I am going to have to stock up. That's a kind of muffin i don't mind them eating! (thanks chrissy for reminding me of their existance)
Its been snowing around here. We only got up to the 50s today after a deep freeze last night. I am starting to wonder if Winter will ever go away!
Tammy I am glad to hear things are going well. Take it easy and let it do its magic! You are what you eat so fill up on those fruits and vegies you will start dropping the pounds!0 -
Hey everyone. Just stopping by to say hi. I'm about to do some exercise. I need to, because I haven't been doing any lately, and I have been snacking way too much. Time to get back to making some changes! I know if I will just start, I will get back into the groove. I'll check back later!0
-
Kaechelle - I'll be looking for you to log back on later . I always find if I post that I'm going to do the exercise, then I sorta have to fall through with it. Gives yourself a guilty feeling.
Even if it's a little exercise, Rome wasn't built in a day, we don't start back doing 1 hour workouts - You can do it.
Deb - Yeppers, Carbs for sure. I was trying to avoid some bread for a while and keeping with 40-30-30. I guess it was just timing of me eating those carbs.
Tammy - Good to see your doing better - Every little bit counts and it get's better.
Just pushed myself through P90x Chest and Back .. It's amazing how much your muscles suffer when you don't use them for 10 months  Last time I did chest and back my numbers were so much better. Well something to work towards.0 -
KaeChelle - Did you exercise? The longest journey begins with a single step!0
-
Peter are you Drinking a recovery drink? That might be just what you need to boost your carbs at the right moment. I love any excuse go chocolate milk!!0

In a big hurry today, but wanted to pop in and say hi.
My cousin lives in Smithville, Mississippi, which was hit by tornadoes last night. Their church (her husband is the minister) was destroyed by the tornado. Her husband did make it out of the church okay. Please pray for them, their church family, and those who lost their homes.0 -
Yes, I did some exercise the other night. Just haven't had the chance to get back on here til now. Just weighed myself. I have lost exactly one pound this week. That's the same as last week too. I'm just glad to see the numbers go back down. I'm still 8 pounds from the lowest I've ever been on MFP, because after I quit, I gained 10 pounds. I'm ready to get those 8 off again and keep on going down!0
-
Good for you Karen!0
-
Those tornados sure are scary I hope everyone is doing ok. I will keep them on my thoughts and prayers. Karen I know what it is like to be above your lowest. I am actually under my prepregnant weight but still way above my lowest MFP weight. There are a few of us that way.
I am going to get my husbands truck detailed today. I have been driving it while he is gone and my cars in the shop. Good timing that way. I haven't been with out a vehicle. I figured it would be a great surprise to pick him up on his new smelling vehicle.
Let's keep it up. We can do this!0 -

Mary I'll have to check out the blog. I've seen pictures on the news that are astonishing. Hope you are all doing well my hubby came home today. Hooray!! It's nice to have him home. Keep workin'0

Good morning! I got up this morning singing a song from "Camelot":
Tra la! It's May!
The lusty month of May!
That lovely month when ev'ryone goes
Blissfully astray.
Tra la! It's here!
That shocking time of year
When tons of wicked little thoughts
Merrily appear!
It's May! It's May!
That gorgeous holiday
When ev'ry maiden prays that her lad
Will be a cad!
It's mad! It's gay!
A libelous display!
Those dreary vows that ev'ryone takes,
Ev'ryone breaks.
Ev'ryone makes divine mistakes
The lusty month of May!
Sometimes I kind of rewrite it to suit me - I sing "It's May! It's May! The lovely month of May!" and make up some spring lyrics that fit me better.
I did pretty well on my goals for April. It's a good thing that I didn't set a goal to lose any weight, because I didn't. However, I did log all but 3 days (Easter weekend), exercised an average of 200 minutes a week, and kept a good attitude! Think I will continue these goals for May.
Hope you all have a great May Day!0 -
I guess everyone is super busy. Me too! I don't have a lot of time online, but I'm trying to log all of my food when I get a chance.
I am doing good and drinking lots of water. Still need to improve in my exercise, but I've gotten a little in.
I hope you all are doing great!0 -
Earlier, I looked out the window. The sun was shining, the wind was down (somewhat of a rarity here lately), and it was 55 degrees, so I went for my walk. We are quite a sight going down the road: Me with my standard black poodle Suzie Q, followed by my cats, Lucky and Bootsie. Does anyone else have cats that go on walks with them? Suzie and I entertained ourselves by watching a farmer fertilize his freshly plowed field while we walked. All in all, a lovely time was had by all!0
-
Sounds like a very nice walk, Mary! I don't have any animals.0
-
Where are all of my friends? Karen and I are doing a duet here this week!
I went for a walk again tonight, as my swimming pool is still closed for repairs. Hope you are all having a good week!0 -
I went for a walk on my lunch break today. It was nice.
I was wondering if I missed a new thread or something. This group has been quiet. Hope you are all doing well.0 -
Quick drop in to say HI! Totally overwhelmed with catching up - be back soon!0
-
Hey all.
I'm here. Been a little quiet the last week or so. Kept up with my exercises, kept up with my water intake,
I'm eating more of my exercise calories (was maybe eating 1/2 before). I tell everybody else to forget about the scale, but when I jump on it, I get pissed like others that it still hasn't dropped, or even worse it's gone up.
But what's important.. I feel good, clothes are starting to feel better. pants and belt are starting to give extra space.
Just keeping at it.
I did an amazing thing for myself. I jogged non stop for 8 mins - 1 month ago I could barely keep non stop for 3 mins.... C25k W5D2 done.
Hope everyone has a great day.0 -
Hi all I've had a rough week!! I got a to do list a mile long from everything my hubby learned while on his trip. Then I had a radiator hose burst in my car leaving me on the side of the road for a while. Now I have a new car! We had taken our old one into the shop at least 5 times this year so that hose repair was the last straw!! I have been feeling a lot of stress lately and not doing so well with it, but at least the scale has been kind to me so far. I will try to check in more frequently. I promise!0
-
Karen - Glad to hear that you are using your lunch hour to move a little. Keep it up!
Chrissy - Looking forward to seeing you soon - hang in there!
Peter - Great job on the 8 minutes running! And don't be so concerned with the scale (had to say that, because you would!) Keep on keeping on!
Deb - Life with newborns can be hectic. Just keep plugging!
I have not had a great week. My mother is back in the hospital with pneumonia, sepsis, a UTI, and had another heart attack. I am doing everything I need to do as far as eating and exercise, just don't always feel so much like posting. Spending lots of time checking on Mom via phone. But I know all will work out, and I am staying with it. I'll be glad when school is out (May 27th) and I don't have to work for a while.
See you all soon!0
