Help! My car is running real bad. I put gas in it sometimes, but sometimes I forget and I run out and my brother needs to bring me some. LOL. I never change the oil or check the tires because I don't believe in that stuff. But it's running really bad lately. And sometimes it doesn't start right away. Help?

Sorry, but I can't help but facepalm. You definitely need to change the oil, but you can easily wait longer than 3000 miles, especially if it's a newer car. Speaking of that, what kind of car is it?

Also, it is a good idea to rotate your tires as they will wear unevenly, believe me, I've seen it. What I care about here is that the uneven wear will shorten the life of the tire, making you have to replace them sooner. It's really easy to do yourself.

What's telling you that it's running badly? What sounds does it make when it doesn't start right away?

Is this the part where we give all you advice and then you tell us why it's impossible to follow any of it? Or the other old standby, "I am following it and it's not working" which means I tried it for 3 days and gave up?:bigsmile:

make sure to drink back all the gas you burn.. try sqeezing lemon in it. that helps.

Not sure why it wouldnt run, everything you are doing sounds like normal maintenance on a car. Let me look it up on youporn to see if they have any suggestions! I will report back later.

There's also an orange light that says "Check Engine". It's always on. Is there any way I can turn that off? It's really distracting when I'm driving to work and trying to watch a DVD or read the newspaper.

Yeah but my cousin's boyfriend is studying to be a mechanic and he told her that oilchanges are just a scam and to save her money. So I don't buy into that 'oil change myth". In fact, all my oil leaked out and the car is perfectly fine except it doesn't run good anymore.
