    Good morning ladies!

    I am down .5lb, which means I am getting closer! Come on Amy and Shanell, we are almost there...onederland is in our near future!!

    Lorena and Kirstin...I am so glad you guys like L3 because I hate it..it was always a few days into that level that I pulled my shoulder muscle..I am laying low from doing that one again...love the rest of the workout just hate the end results that I keep getting!

    Cathy...I love to sew! I learned when I was 10, at 19 I made my DD's christening gown, and then it wasn't until a few years ago I started up again full force. DH made a joke the other day that he didn't realize we had a dining room table, b/c all my sewing stuff is on it. I haven't made myself too many thing, one dress to be exact, but maybe I should make myself a cute little summer dress too!

    3.5 pound weight loss! yipeeeee! I have been hovering at 170 for MONTHS! Finally a breakthrough.

    ithought it was odd I was a week behind but I missed the new thread! so reposting what I posted on the other!

    wow!! i've missed so much and feel like I've totally missed out on the group these last weeks! i'm sorry!!

    to update you, I had an amazing weekend. We kicked off with a Right Royal Shindig on Friday. I hosted a Garden Party and all the family and friends came round and we all huddled round the TV and watched our Prince WIlliam wed his beautiful Kate!!! It was fantastic!! I had to record it because I was so busy hosting and I have lots to catch up on. I can't beleive how much the country all came together and celebrated. I felt well and trul;y British all day and absolutely loved it. We had tea, cakes, little sandwiches, cheesecakes, scones and a myriad of proper english grub. Was so much fun. We all dressed up as well as if we were at the wedidng. And I am very pleased to say we all looked lush and I got into a dress I havent been able to wear for a while!!

    anyway, then on saturday I cleaned (my house was ruined!!!) and we went out on the town on the evening. more drunk consumed!! On sunday I spent the day down the Rugby Club and polished off the weekend with an indian takeaway. All in all I put on 3lbs over the weekend!! BAD TIMES! but i don't care. it was a fantastic weekend and i spent so much quality time with all those I love. That is worth 3lbs weight gain!!

    So back on it today, I've been very reasonable so far but I am indulging in some ice cream shortly! we have some left over from the weekend and its the last thing to go. i've had my first day back at work and it was pants! i am happy to compensate that with a little ice cream!

    Also, I'm on the final week on Census work (i collect the census from those households that havent returned it. Bascially door knocking and have been for 4 weeks... extra money for the wedding!). So i finish this friday and I can get back into my fitness regieme again. I just havent had time recently with working 8-8 nearly every day! i'm actually looking forward to getting back out! The weather is so lush as well I might get back into the running. seems rude to stay inside doing a DVD when its so lush outside!

    Anyway thats me, I'll try and check in every day this week and catch up on everyone elses news and get back into the conversation!!

    I love to sew too! I love making baby things the most but also market bags, aprons and I have tried my hands at a few skirts. I need to take a class because I taught myself. I indulged about 5 yrs ago on a really nice machine when I used to work for the bank and get nice bonus's based on performance. I need to use it. I miss it alot....its been 6 mths since I touched it.

    had a great dinner. south beach taco bake. sooo good.

    i have had my machine since 1977. DH bought it for me at sears when we got married. we had to drive 2 hours to get to kmart/sears. it's a kenmore and still runs great. i really need to have it serviced. i tried teaching my granddaughter to sew. she did pretty good. shanell got frustrated. her machine is a picky thing.

    well, off to find something to do.

    Hey all! I had a dr appointment this morning, spent all night dreading the evil scale! But turns out I have dropped some pounds since I saw him last. So, he complimented me on the weight loss---> Which i am sure you all know, it brightened my entire day! lol! Granted I haven't lost enough for people to visibly notice yet, so it was nice for someone to! even if it is a trained dr just looking over stats! :tongue: I felt so good that i went to Mcdonalds and splurged on something for breakfast -- did you know there is 700 calories in a steak and egg bagel!!??! Yeah, okay, maybe it isn't THAT shocking, but i still didn't think it was that high. Oh well... ate it now, nothing else i can do about it but exerices some of it off so i can eat dinner! lol!

    Hey ladies!!

    Sooooo great to be back!! I can't believe how many Sixers are still are on here that have been on from the start or close to!!

    Haha, Chipper, Yes I knew you would remember to ask about the boys!! :wink:

    So to catch up, many of you know I graduated from my Masters program in May and moved up to South Dakota to do a one year fellowship that was to be up in July. I did fairly well on my fitness goals while I was there, maintaining for the most part but not gaining. Then an opportunity came up in March to take a position back in my home state of Nebraska doing something I've always set out to do! It's a new position in the health system and department but basically I am a Market Analyst and keep track of all of the health systems internal and external data that can affect our decision making and analyze it for trends, etc.

    :yawn: Are you bored yet??

    Anyway, so long story short, I moved back to Nebraska in April and am loving it! After watching my cousin and a friend run a half marathon this past weekend I decided i needed to get my but in gear and made a promise to myself to run the same half marathon next year at this time!! Eek!!

    As for boys, none in the picture at the moment - but as my mother always says, there'll be plenty of time for that, just take care of yourself first and then everything will fall into place!

    p.s.s. Anyone have any tricks for tricking a sweet tooth? I have wicked sugar cravings i think almost daily and just haven't found something healthy and good for me that quite satisfies that sweet need.

    Chipper - wish I could but my dentist outlawed gum when they realized I was grinding my teeth at night, repeating the action of chewing gum when stressed! :( Fruit mints? :)

    Up 1.2 lbs. And I'm sick as a dog. Haven't been eating too healthy though because truthfully I've been forcing myself to eat and choosing to eat things that weren't that great.

    I'll do better next week. I have bronchitis again. Maybe all the stress of recently joining a sorority, finishing medical school in 2 weeks, packing my apartment for the MOVE (which hasn't happened yet cause I got sick the day I was supposed to begin packing.) , oh and did I mention my car was not working for 3 days!!!!!!!!!! The battery died the night before I needed to go to a wedding. it had to get jumped 4 times. :-/ frustrating. Now spent unplanned money on a battery.

    Long story short, I had a crazy week, still feel bad. Gained 1.2 lbs but am READY to get the weight moving in a downward direction. :-)

    amylou...just plain fruit. i find some really cure that sweet tooth. just have to try some and see which work.
    tiff....you made it through and you are still kicking. so that makes for a great week. we have to think of all the things we have made it through to get us through the now....
    everyone else...you are all doing great. a few bumps in the road, we will all encounter those, we just roll over them and keep going.

    AFM: nothing, i was just looking at my calendar. the only thing on it is the dogs doctors appt. that makes for a great month. hope by the end i am moving my son out. he starts paying lot rent on june 1 and really wanted out of here by than. he just has a few expensive things to get to get it livable. we got him a stove on freecycle last night. now to find a fridge.
    heel was hurting this morning. i hope it's not that planter fascia thing again. if so i just can't run anymore. too may pains appear after pushing through yesterdays runs. think today i might go to the duck pond to walk. it's cool and different scenery.

    off to get some sort of exercise in.

    just did 2 miles around the duck pond. cold and crisp outside this morning. forgot my ipod so did some thinking. making up some plans for my physical and mental health. shower dress, head to goodwill on a book hunt for DH and son.

    AmyLou...as far as sweet cravings...I indulge a little every night. My favorites are...
    -1/2 c. fat free frozen yogurt
    -2 tbsp. cool whip free between 2 reduced fat graham cracker halves, stuck in the freezer for a bit...YUM!
    -animal crackers
    -grapes
    -chocolate crunch rice cake
    -homemade rice crispy treat
    **all are relatively low in calories and totally take care of my sweet craving. I usually have it in the evening after my exercise to make sure I have the calories to eat! :)


    Everyone else...HELLO!

    AFM: Had another good night last night. Got in my run and shred. Played outside with Kadence. Have to leave work early today because Kadence's daycare is closing early due to a funeral. SO...excited to spend the afternoon with her!

    Good Morning all :) my co-worker and I have been able to go walk during our lunch, when the wind isn't blowing 90 to nothing, and I think today will be a gorgeous day, so I'll get 3.5 miles in. and then Ripped in 30 tonight, usually do it in the morning but couldn't get out of bed, HATE when the BED WINS!!!

    After Christmas we packed up and moved to Oklahoma (lived in Kansas all my life) I'm adjusting, sure missing home and my workout buddies. but actually doing better now, than I was at home with weightloss and eating :) We go back home in two weeks and I want mouths to drop, if ya know what I mean ;) I have 20lbs more to lose, my goal was to be 150 by the 20th, but doesn't look promising :( but its ok.

    AmyLou-not sure if you like dark chocolate but i found some Doves that is yummy and "healthy for ya"
    strawberries or any kind of berries with cool whip

    Good afternoon Sixers! I started the day right today- the BF made me breakfast in bed... egg and swiss on a whole wheat english muffin :flowerforyou: - got up bright and early, took the pups for a 2.5 mile walk, cleaned the house, email, and then headed to work / class... I love when I wake up in the am.... I get sooo much acomplished before work... the BFF is staying over tonight so we are going for a hike after work (~5 miles) and then making healthy salads for dinner... and then drinking some wine :bigsmile:

    Glad to be back on track - feels great!

    Reyna - lunch walks @ work are the best... a great little bonus!
    Amylou - I am a sherbert girl... or frozen yogurt... mmm... skinny cow ice cream bars are great too!
    Kristin - Have a great afternoon off!!!!!!!!

    Hi crew!
    today has been a manic day!! been busy at work and hardly have any food in the house so am relly improvising on what i take to work for lunch!!
    i had a bowl of cereal today. WAS WELL BORING! i've overloaded on the carbs big time today so i must go food shopping tomorrow and stock up on the veg and fruit!

    i had two slices of toast, bowl of bran flakes, baked potatoe. hmm... very carby!

    on another note, will finish census tomorrow and i can finally get running again! so excited!!

    hope everyone had a lovely day and happy Friday for tomorrow!!!
