In the interest of keeping this thread super helpful to everyone, but concise and to the point, tell us the ONE food or drink that is the MOST helpful to your staying on track, calorie and nutrition wise. I can't wait to find out what your little "gem" is! Maybe we'll all add it to our food repertoire, too!

Water really. I use to be addicted to coca-cola classic. Like 6 cans a day or more. That's scary considering each one is like 240 calories.0

Hard boiled eggs.... I know...I am strange... LOL0

I'd have to say non-fat yogurt. It's the perfect blend of protein and carbs for me.0

Jello Sugar-Free Dark Chocolate Pudding - 60 calories
Satisfies the sweet tooth so I don't go off the edge into a huge Hershey's bar!0 -
Granny smith apples. Delicious, cheap, portable, non-processed and a great afternoon snack to keep you going until dinner.0

Popcorn! Popped myself, not from a bag, with no butter on top, but a low sodium seasoning. It's about 170 calories, and it's very filling, sometimes it takes me 30 mins to finish it.0

Walmart Vanilla Ice Cream Cups: 100 Cal.
Ice cream is my weakness and there is nooooo way I can control myself....1/2 cup just looks so small. So these preportioned beauties allow me to indulge my craving, without going overboard (Typical serving that I scoop for myself is 320 cal; no self control lol)0 -

Choose just ONE?! It's not a food, but it would be water.
My father-in-law manages a RC Cola Plant and gets a ridiculous amount of RC, Sundrop, RedBull..ect My husband and I could go through 6 (12 pack) can cases in about a week.
It have made me feel better and helped me make better food choices.0 -

I'm finding it hard to put my finger on one. I think probably Cathedral City lighter, it's a lower fat cheese. I didn't realise how much cheese we eat in this house so that has been a life saver. In my house if i sprinlkle cheese on it my OH will most likely eat it and hates pretty much everything i cook nowadays.0

Oats with cinnamon and 1/4 cup of nonfat vanilla greek yogurt all mixed together.. best breakfast EVER0

Hummus!!!0

Homemade yogurt - I use half 8th Continent Light Soymilk and half Skim Milk, with two Fage 0% Greek Yogurt starters. One serving is a full 8oz cup (larger than most ready-made yogurts) and has only 75 calories. I have it every morning for breakfast, sometimes mixed with honey as a fruit dip, and I bake with it constantly. Couldn't live without it!0

Sounds good. Is it reduced in fat or calories?0 -
I use this on sandwich wrap and salad ... Anything to add moisture and flavor.
Boathouse Farms - Creamy Yogurt Dressing Honey Mustard0 -
Kelloggs fiber plus antioxidants snack bars (choc chip or pb choc) with my fav pink lady apples... makes for a satisfying small meal or great temptation buster when my employees bring their fast food in my break area and I have to smell it... most days, I tell them how gross their food is, but somedays... it just doesn't matter and you want a bite of everybodys food court creations!0

Eggs. I hardly touched them before I joined MFP, but they're now my easy protein of choice and make me feel nice and full for a weekend breakfast, post-run top-up or mid-week eating alone dinner. Sadly I can't do the ultra-healthy whites-only thing as I don't like them. It has to be all-in omelet or scrambled, or just the yolks of boiled or poached eggs. Sorry cholesterol levels!0

Eggs probably!!!
Love advocados too!!!0 -
Sounds good. Is it reduced in fat or calories?
Yes. It has about half the fat and cals of regular dressing. I was skeptical at first because it sounded kinda strange and I have never found a light dressing I liked. I didn't think it would be as good as the Kraft Roka blue cheese that I like, but it totally is.0
