My list is pretty small, but I learned this requirement from my first wife.

    1. NOT CRAZY.

What I have learned in my life as a guy is remarkably simple.

Ted's Law of Relationships or The Man's Guide to Marital Bliss:

You can't win, but you do have to play. And the rules will change to suit the game. Therefore, the man must accept responsibility for ALL wrongs, actual or perceived.

The quicker you as a man learn to accept and embrace the above, the happier you will be.

I am VERY happily married, just ask my wife!

A soul mate... someone who I connect with on a deep level, who knows what I'm feeling and thinking at the moment I'm going through it, compassion, understanding, forgiveness, respect, open minded.... someone with the same love of humanity as I have. Someone to laugh with, to cry with.... to hold my hand when I'm sick, to steer me straight when I've driven off course..... someone who thinks I'm worth it, who gives to others before taking for themselves, who is both strong and weak... who can lead and follow............

and mostly some to love me as deeply as I know I can love.

    *please send CV*

I had a huge list as well:

    Has to love kids
Has to be a single dad and have custody of his kids
    Has to be Israeli/American
Has to have a career he loves
Has to be close to his family
    Has to make me laugh
Has to love me just the way I am
Has to be honest and kind (not funny in a cruel way the way my ex hubby was)
    Has to be generous

and the list goes on and on.... I knew that if my list was long enough, no one would ever make the cut but I never wanted to settle as I always felt I had with my exes. Until I met my boyfriend and he was everything I ever listed and more.

So my point is, stick to what's important in your list. S/he does exist out there :)

    Hmmm...

Someone who will not try to be my father and will allow me to do the things that I enjoy.
Someone who puts passion into ounce of life.
Someone who has his own hobbies and doesn't feel the need to suffocate.
Someone who is daring and not afraid to take chances.
Someone who will stay up and talk to me all night, and actually listen to what I have to say.
Someone who doesn't take advantage of me and my love of making the people around me happy.
Someone who doesn't think I would be perfect if I just lost weight and got a tummy tuck, boob lift, and implants.
Someone who thinks I am beautiful and makes me feel like I am special and the most important thing in the world..

    Most important
    Must love my kids!

I was thinking finding someone who could pay for a tummy tuck, boobs etc
    LOL...j/k people!
    sort of

Haha i have a LONG list and a HUGE test.

He has to LOVE kids and want like a million...since i do.
He has to LOVE animals since they are my passion.
He HAS to be a Christian with relatively the same views on God as me.
It would be NICE if he could cook since...haha i dont:)...at the moment.
He has to be funny....sorry boring guys..no way.
He was to be determined and know what he wants.
He has to be....i like Karley's answer....mature in the sense that he is a man...not some young guy who acts like a child.
He has to have patience and be willing to deal with my hyperness.

I will end with that...too many to list:)

Sigh! All the perfect women (or women whose list matches mine) are to young for me. lol :-)

NO such thing as "Too Young" my friend....just pretend you're a Rock Star. It's worked well for most of the Rolling Stones. :-)

I would just dust off the resume of my most recent partner. I have the tendency to have a rigorous screen process. to whit:

    1) Smarter then me (not a hard on to get)
    2) At least close to my sense of humor (much harder to find)
    3) Likes me (now there is the usual deal breaker)
    4) Wants me, but does not need me
    5) standard job, hygiene, healthy life attitude (all things I believe I have)

Is it any wonder that it take me a while to find a partner.

Has to have partial custody or full? Because the Mother generally always has primary custody unless she does something seriously wrong..

Hmm..., I'm not looking, one reason being my list is tooooo long, top of my list is....

Must like kids, I have 4
Must be an animal lover, especially cats, I have 5
Must be able to put up with my ways
Must be funny but know when to be serious
Must be taller than me and not feel threatened if I'm taller than him in heels because i'm always in heels
    and so on

I'm not looking for these reasons too...
    I've been single too long
I like my bed to myself
I can dish up dinner when I bloomin well please
if the housework isn't done one day I'm not going to have a sulky moody piece of crap to put up with
If the veggies are slightly over cooked I don't have to scrape dinner out of the carpet or off the walls
    and so on

He would have to love my soul, cherish my mind and consume my body with his. Appreciate my free spirit, embrace my love for life, adore my children and above all….respect me.

I love hard and will never break it…..until you do.

Smart, passionate, hilarious and must worship the ground I walk on.

Yes, yes, yes, and YES. :)
Integrity. Honesty. Fidelity. You'd think that would be a given, wouldn't you?

    Second this, too.

I'm going to throw in there that he has to be drug-free.

I am married. If this marriage should end (hope not), I will NOT marry again. Marriage is TOO much work!

I agree ...I don't think I would remarry......not sure about having a serious relationship after

My next ex should be able to keep up with my pace on life, with the confidence to match.
