"The 4 Mile Club" added it's newest inductee last night.
That's right Bob, Dan aka Danthewatcher completed his first 4.0 mile walk in 79 minutes.
He was on his usual course when, as he states, "something came over him".

~" Well you know, I was on my usual route, it was slightly cloudy but not raining and off in the distance there was lightning just illuminating the night sky.
I really though it was beautiful to see and I began thinking about the nature of lightning itself.
For whatever reason, the concept inspired me...something just came over me.
I didn't plan on reaching the 4 mile marker, it really just kinda happened."

And there you have it folks...
Lightning..., not just knocking electrons from nitrogen atoms allowing them to combine with oxygen and hydrogen in the atmosphere thus forming nitrates which are then carried to the soil by rain and synthesized by plants to gives us the amazing protein...BUT, inspiring lifestyle changes as well...
    Back to you Bob.

Whoo hoo! Fabulous walk - I'll have you doing the HalfMoon next year!

Finally got back outside walking this morning (with a couple of running sprints mixed in) for 5.3 miles.

50 minutes yesterday (2.5 miles) and an hour today (2.0 miles, walking with my 85-year-old mom - she's does alright!)

Getting back in the swing of walking after a couple of days of not doing much. I'm particularly happy about walking yesterday and today - yesterday I stopped on my way to visit my family. I've said so many times I would do that; this is the first time I have. And, today, kind of the same thing. I usually think I'll go walking when I visit family then don't. This time I made it a priority. (Now I'm working on getting my eating on track when I visit family. I think I'm just about there!)

    Linda, wow. 7.5 miles. Wonderful!
