I missed the part yesterday about posting our rewards for reaching our goals. My reward is going to be a weekend away somewhere with my boyfriend when I finally lose the weight! We've only ever gone on vacation with family or friends and I've been dying to go somewhere just the 2 of us. I never thought it would be taking me this long to reach my goal weight though, the past 3 months I've been going up and down with the same 5 pounds and it's driving me crazy!0

You and me both! I have been at this for 2 months and have lots 5 pounds give or take. All of May I kept bouncing between 133-136 and it is driving me crazy! I will be so happy when I can get over this hump. I know that I am dropping inches though and getting toned up but I still want the pounds to go down.

Too late for me? I just got back from trip last night, saw post today, right after I'd weighed myself and realized I GAINED weight on this trip. Goal weight by June 30 is 135. Even if I'm too late, I'll follow you motivated 50 people and try to keep up!

I, too, missed the post about the rewards. Should I attain my goal for June...what shall be my reward? I've never really thought about it.
I just decided. A new bike. I take my daughters out biking on the weekend and am constantly having to "jog" a little to keep up. Now, should I make my goal, I can keep up and we can enjoy the bike trails even more!

I just joined myfitnesspal today and would like to join this group (even though I know you wanted only fifty participants) because it seems very organized and I need all the help I can get! I would really like to lose at least 10 pounds by my vacation in August so this is perfect! If all that fails how about the fact that 53 is a prime number :laugh: !

Hi everyone. We have a few days before weigh-in, but I'm hoping we can start to be more than a weigh-in group. A little chitter chatter can help a lot with motivation. Checking in once a week to say...yes I've been successful or no I haven't (or yes, the scale cooperated, or no, the scale did not) is great, but sometimes, we need the group to help motivate us along the way in order TO BE successful by the end of the week.
I know some groups do challenges and the like. Personally, I'm not so big on them...I'm not a weight loss newbie and so am not keen on randomly adding things to my routine...so I won't be the one to start any up (but there are 60 of us, so I'm sure if one of you started doing them, enough people would find it helpful!) But even just checking in, to say how its going, or to share what's hard, that sort of thing.
In the name of self-organization, shall we try a mid-week check-in? I know Wednesday is the traditional 'hump-day' for the work week, but weekends are just as bad, if not worse, for healthy eating, so why not have a Thursday check-in? To reflect on how the week has gone, and to mentally gird ourselves for the Friday/Saturday/Sunday nexus of social eating evil? I'm going to try to remember to do it this week. Join me if you'd like.0 -

06/30: Leaving for vacation on the 29th so thats my goal date- Will weigh in on the 28th.
So excited I lost 1.5 lbs. I didn't think that was possible since I am very close to my goal. My MFP goal is 123 so that is pretty close, but won't be easy. On this challenge I put 122 because it would be great to get down to that since I fluctuate a lot. I did great working out during the week. Didn't do so well this weekend since I was in a mood. Gonna work out hard this week. If I loose .5 this week I will be happy. Hope you all have a good week and good luck.0 -

OK I can't even get my weight right! I posted 10 POUNDS lower than actual weight last week. I fixed it and didn't even lose a tenth of a pound this week. UUUUGGGGHHHH!0
