Hey budddddyy. Sorry (again) for being sporadic. I feel like this season we end up MIA alot. Dan had an abscess on his tonsils. Took 2 hospitals, 1 ER, a PCP, and finally a ENT to determine what was wrong with him. So he had the OP procedure on Tuesday and he's finally on the mend. I caught Talan's stomach bug and was down and out 100% all of Sunday. I'm still not completely over it, certain foods/smells still make me nauseous but I'm at work and running around like a crazy woman. Tonight we order the last of our Christmas presents for the kids (WWE tickets :drinker: ) and then it's just a matter of wrapping/cooking/baking...you know the normal!!

How are you? How's the weather? Have things settled down?

Oh wow! I hope he is doing ok! That is crazy. I think the only thing worse than being sick is being sick and no one knowing what is wrong! So glad that they figured it out and he is doing better. Hope you are feeling better as well too!

I have been here and gone as well. Work has been nuts and today is my last day of the week so I am cramming things in before our flight to NJ tonight. We will be taking Josie into NYC this week so that will be fun/terrifying. haha

Lost a little bit of the Thanksgiving weight just in time for Christmas  But I finished S90 and am ready to start clean once for the new year! So lets go get fat and enjoy Christmas

Have a very merry Christmas and I will talk to you again next week!

Had way too much fun over Christmas and things are tight as can be. haha You know how it goes. Cleaning things up today and tomorrow but I am sure I will be drinking and having fun over NYE before the real crack down starts the day after. Hope you had a great Christmas and everyone is 100% healthy again!

Thanks for the well wishes. Luckily, so far everyone seems to be over it and healthy! We had a good, but food filled Christmas. Dan had me bake more peanut butter blossoms last night. He's still on a mission to gain back his weight. It's not helping me lose any that's for sure. But, as you said, trying to keep things on track with knowing NYE will probably bring a few more snackies than the normal.

I did get a beautiful new pink Polar. So excited about that gift. It's awesome knowing the calorie burns again. I'm logging it, because I'm excited but sticking with not eating it back. I set up my diary for my goals. Maybe I'll just log it as strength...is that feasible? So it won't effect my overall calories? We'll see... I'll need to play around with that, because I know logging it will skew my macros and stuff. So we'll see what the plan is.

I'm going to focus on getting cardio in (not excessive by any means, just getting it in 1st). I tend to hit the weights and then run over on time so cardio is not a priority over the last few months. It's been fine with maintenance but not so much with loss. So we'll see if that adjustment helps. And I'm going to switch to only 1 heavy leg day. If I could get my thighs slimmer, I'd be okay with the rest of the presentation. There will always be work that needs done!! And i'm not bikini ready by any means....I just know that slimmer thighs is going to be my focus so cardio + multiple leg work -a heavy leg day is my plan of action for 2014.

Happy New Year!! I am back and getting on the horse again. Haven't hit the scale yet but I know it is bad since my clothes are TIGHT! And my thighs are starting to rub together again so I am back on track. Hoping now that all the parties are over, I will continue the trend of losing the bulk of my weight in the next 2 months and then getting down to my lowest by April and May.

I was toying with the idea of doing LP's plan again. I definitely worked but I wonder if I can just do the calories amounts and not worry so much about the strict macros since that is what is such a PITA for me. So I am going to just eat at a similar deficit for a few weeks and see if I am making enough progress or if I need to do the full program.

Ohhh fancy pink polar!!! I love it. We will be bikini ready in no time! I think I am going to do another round of CLX. I am still thinking JMBR but think I should reuse CLX (since I have only done it once) before throwing down some more cash.

Getting on the scale tomorrow. I am hoping for anything under 140 but I don't think I will be that lucky with the way I feel now. I hit 140 last Christmas but I think things are way tighter this time around but we shall see tomorrow morning. Wish me luck!

First of all, good luck tomorrow! I'm hopping on then too. I'll be off it again for 3 weeks but it's going to be bad tomorrow. :blushing:

I won't go into my whole plan since I just wrote a blog post about it. It's there if you want to know it. I thought about the LP stuff too. Wrote it all up, even tried one of the workouts. And thought, I can't do this! I went with the Mitch & Dan diet that they wrote up back in April of last year. It worked very well (of course consistency helps me regardless of approach:blushing: ) and it wasn't terrible to stick too. So that's my diet plan. But I did up the calories by a whopping 20. 1700 seemed less scary then 1680. Weird, right? And I'm not going to worry about logging my calorie burn and how that effects my numbers. I know 1700 is my top calorie number and I know that aside from the heavy leg day, I need to keep my carbs down under about 120-130 after subtracting out fiber. So it shouldn't be too big of a deal since I love seeing that 'burn' # after not having it for so long. It's the same exact one I had but it must be updated a little because the sensor looks a tad different from my old one. I do love it.

My mom also got me a Ninja so I threw some ice in my protein shake this morning- viola' it was all fancy. :drinker: So today is off to a good start. We have Christmas at my Grandma's Saturday but I'm not too worried. I'm bringing a veggie tray. I'll eat my veggies and some of the meat skipping the potatoes, it's sort of buffet/appetizer style given there's no sit down dinner, and I've had my fill of Christmas cookies (and I only like PB Blossoms so regardless of the request by DH I'm not baking them this weekend  ...can't have that crap around until I have a few days of 'on track' under my belt). We'll see. If I can get a few good weeks under me, heading into birthday central in February shouldn't be so bad!

No baby steps right now...it's time for putting on the bigger girl panties, facing the music, and getting down to work! :noway: :grumble:

Yep exactly! Got on the scale. 140.8lb not awesome but slightly better than expected. I wanted to see 140 or under (since I was 140 last year when I got back from vacation and was able to get down to my all time lowest in the months after that) but at least it wasn't like 145 or something. But of course when I see that I am up 15lbs from my all time low it is disheartening. Maybe this year at Christmas I will keep it together better but for now it is all about getting back down under 130lb and keeping my eyes on the prize (my birthday). So I have 9 weeks to lose 12 pounds. Lets get this ;)

I am following deficit amount of LP at this point (35%) and now I am trying out a little JM (I know I know, I just love a new program). I will have to check out your blog. Love all your new healthy gifts! Its time to work!

Has anyone done any Lindsay Brin videos? How do they compare to other videos?

    tsquaredmama Posts: 168 Member
pcdoctor01: I have done Lindsay's Boot camp. I like to use it as a supplemental DVD. If I am short on time type of thing, I will use this. Plus, I like her ab workouts (after 2 big babies, she's great on the post-Mom belly issues). They are more along the lines of Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, except that you put together your own time segments based on what you want to do that day.

How's the JM BR going? I hit weights this morning but wasn't feeling well. Just getting to my first meal and it's 1pm. I'm not sure what the issue was but it seems to be dissipating so I'm not complaining. What I am complaining about was the fact it was 40 and raining when I went to the gym, 22 and a blizzard out when I left the gym, and tonight is supposed to bring sub-30 windchill. what the heck is up with that?

I am off to fight the school on Talan leaving school 20 minutes early ... I'll explain later. It's been a busy day!

@pcdoctor01: I have done several of Lindsay's workouts and I agree that is has a similar feel to 30 day shred in that you are mixing cardio and light resistance. I enjoyed the program and liked that she had thing specifically for post partum moms.

Yeah it is really cold here (for Texas that it) so I can only imagine how how bad it is in your neck of the woods. I hope you are feeling better. :flowerforyou:

JM is going well. It is not super challenging at this point but I can up the effort by adding weights to some moves and plyo to others. I know it is going to get more challenging as the program progresses. I know some people might just jump to month 2 but I am enjoying getting back into it slowly  I basically just need to do all the advanced moves to get a good burn so far but that is just the first 2 weeks so we will see what the next weeks bring.

This weekend I was a rockstar with diet and I prepped 4 full meals worth on Sunday so I am feeling good that I will have hopefully get a decent chunk of weight off this week but you know how it goes. How was your weigh in? Better or worse than you expected?

So yesterday school was closed and I called out - it was -15. Today it was -10 and there was a two hour delay. I'm at work but it's nuts here. There's a big storm hitting the area we are supposed to travel to this weekend for the WWE John Cena thing that we got the kids for Christmas. I pray it clears up soon and travel is safe. They are so looking forward to it. Tomorrow's my Dad's birthday (57!) but we are doing the party Sunday. I could use a quiet weekend but that's not happening for a while. Lol.

The weigh in was alright. I'm back to 154 (which I've been battling since Halloween). I can handle that, but it's definitely not good news. And nothing fits like it was. But, I knew that. So time to move forward. I didn't get to workout yesterday because of the weather. I'm hoping to go tonight if the kids are feeling up to battling it. If not maybe they'll do Insanity with me?!

Progressive programs aren't bad at all. I like your attitude! Ease back into it and keep that burn up, you'll be back where you want to be in no time!! Nice job on the weekend prep too! My weekend prep has been derailed for the last few weeks. Time to ramp that up too!

I hope you are staying warm and not having any pipe issues! I also hope things work out for you with the weekend. This weather is crazy! Happy Birthday to your dad! Hope it is a good one regardless of the weather. Thankfully, other than one birthday dinner later this month, we are free and clear with events for the rest of this month. Although this weekend I have to take down all 5 of my Christmas trees (only 2 full sized ones) which I am not looking forward to. It is at least a solid day of work and I expect it will take most of the weekend to get everything packed up with Josie at home.

Took measurements this morning and as expected it sucked. But it needed a base line to work from. I need to take pictures as well though. Maybe I will get to that tonight after Josie has swimming lessons. We shall see. First week of JM is done. Another week of the same and then we go to new videos! I am curious to see how much we step it up in the next videos. I am sure it will be brutal in the end but since I am lugging around 10lb extra we will stick with following the ramp up program

The boys start swim lessons Saturday too! Fun! I thought it was last weekend, but after getting everyone dressed and to the pool- I found out I was a week early! :grumble:

Good workout today. Upper body usually means less burn so I needed to find a way to increase calorie expenditure. I don't have more than an hour in the morning and I loathe straight cardio. So in between each set I did a variety of cardio options: Step ups, kettle bell swings, pop squats, goblet squats, etc. It made for a good burn and kept me off a treadmill.

5 trees?!?!   Good luck with all that! You've got your hands full.

The weather indicates we are heading back up into the 40s for a couple days before heading back down to 20s. I'm okay with that so long as it stays where reported for the weekend. It should be a good time. Talan went for his 4th birthday but this is Tarren's first time *and mine too*. We are also stopping in to see Dan's BFF  and his wife who had a baby in October. I asked Tarren if he was going to hold the baby. His response was 'well if he crawls to me' when I tried explaining tiny babies don't crawl/walk - he thought I was crazy. These boys keep me sane with their amusing thought processes.

Nice workout girl you are killing it. I put in my 30 minutes with JM and I am done  Speaking of, I was so proud I was able to get my work out in yesterday night but it proved that I am not one to workout after work. I need to get up and get it done before my mind has a chance to think about it.

Ummm yeah. The trees. It is only getting worse next year. We had 2 full trees (7.5ft) and 3 table top trees this year. We are changing out the one 7.5ft tree for a 9ft tree next year (we already bought it since I am all over the post holiday sale). Speaking of after Christmas sales, I picked up my third full size tree last week. It is only 6ft and it is skinny but next year I will be rocking 3 full sized trees (and my 3 baby trees). Yes I know I am insane.

Well weigh in was good with 3.4lbs. Just 8lb more to go. Well 8 to be comfortable but more like 10-12 to be happy  I have my work cut out for me right? Have a great weekend!

What happen to my post from yesterday!? Well...I guess I have a longer recap than I thought!

Heavy legs today, yesterday was shoulders, bi/ti and yoga at night. Not sure if I'll keep going to yoga but I told a GF that I would try the class with her since her Mom teaches. It was a good class, it's just at 630pm to 730pm so the kids and I don't get home for a real dinner until 745pm. We'll see. She wants to take a spin class Thursday. Thursdays my 2nd leg day...I'm not sure how well that would go?! We'll see.

Finally got batteries for my scale (I've been using Dan's ((our old one)) since I was too forgetful to pick up AAA) so I hopped on just to check weight on that and BF %. The % is fine, where it was before the holidays, my weights just still up about 3lbs. So keep pressing forward. Had a great eating day yesterday but Saturday's WWE trip had me eating popcorn and candy for dinner. :glasses: We planned on stopping to pick up something quick but we stayed at Dan's friends so long that by the time we got done visiting it was time to go straight to the WWE event. We were all starving and ate too much popcorn and pop. And Sunday, I just ate whatever for the birthday gathering. My weekends are not tightening up like they should. A cheat meal over the weekend would be fine. I'm still on that complete derail after one bad meal path. :blushing:

You are a beast with the workouts girl! I am a slacker with just my 30 minute Jillian Michaels workouts  Speaking of I finished the first 2 weeks of JMBR so I am getting 2 new workouts :drinker:. I know sad that I get so excited about new workouts. I did get crazy this morning and threw a resistance band on my pelvic thrusts (one leg up). I am hoping a feel that tomorrow. It is so hard to tell if I am getting a good burn there since my range of motion is quite limited.

Glad you were able to go to the WWE event. Did the kids love it? This weekend was good for me. I burned just over 3000 calories putting up all my Christmas decorations according to my BMF. Still didn't beat my record of 3620 that I burned the day before Josie's party (over 10 and half hours of moderate activity). So apparently party decorations are more of a workout than Christmas decor! I am just glad it is all done and put away. I am proud of myself as well for eating reasonably on our date night that night. We haven't been to a movie theater in over a year (I know this since we had a gift certificate that we got Christmas 2012 that we never had a chance to use) so we decided to make a date of it and go out for dinner and a movie while Josie was with my mom. I chose a grilled salmon salad, took half of it home and packed healthier candy and popcorn for the movie. So that was huge victory for me. Looks like I should see more of a loss on the scale this week. Hoping for at least 2 more pounds since I know the next few weeks I will be lucky to get anything over a pound (you know how it goes harder as the time goes on).

I am really trying to get out of this all or nothing mentality. I am either rock solid with the diet or I am binging. I can't seem to treat myself in moderation. I feel like I have to go wheels off in order to enjoy myself. That is my resolution this year. Learn to indulge in moderation.

So you're still loving the BFM? That's crazy on the burn....

It sounds like the JM workouts are going well. 30 minutes of JM or the gym doesn't matter- we are doing it. And you are doing the weekend thing (:drinker: :drinker: ). I am not. :grumble: i will this weekend!!! :blushing: But you nailed it. I can't fall into 'treating myself' and it's totally mental. It's not hungry from low calories, or anything like that. Tighten it up, tighten it up.

I need to do measurements though because my weight and BF% aren't that far off from where I've been. BUT I feel huge and feel like my clothes do not fit the same. I know those scales aren't that reliable so I want to see where my measurements are. I've been having some minor medical issues (UTI type stuff) so I've been on a script (which the antibodic leads to needing a follow up medication :blushing: ). I don't know if that's helping add to my bloated feeling. I've been upping my water intake (thanks to a cute clearance mason jar I got at Walmart for $1.24!!) it honestly feels like the opposite response you'd expect. I swear I feel 110% more bloated, 100% less flushed. We'll see. Maybe I should check my sodium intake.

Anywhoo. Rest day for me today. Low carb. Heading into leg day tomorrow. GF wants me to do the spinning class tomorrow night. We'll see. Yoga may not be my thing but stretching and getting that foam roller out needs to happen more often!!

Looks like you killed it in the gym today!! Yeah JM is working for me. Workouts 3 and 4 are definitely a step up from 1 and 2. I am curious to see how bad it is going to get by the time workouts 11 and 12 roll around!

I know what you mean about flabby. I am sure it is bloating. Chug chug chug!! I was excited to see the scale going down this week and I was hoping for another big loss. Until I got the scale this morning and it was WAY up(like 5 pounds up since yesterday). I think it is from my TOM coming unexpectedly so unless I only have one day of retention from it I will not get a nice weigh in tomorrow. HISSSSS

This weekend we will also be going out to dinner for a birthday celebration so I will have a chance to once again exercise my willpower and a reasonable portion of something healthier. Maybe get a skinny drink. Baby steps right?
  • tsquaredmama
    tsquaredmama Posts: 168 Member
Congrats on the loss. Looks like whatever you were seeing a one day retention. Yeah for that news!!

Baby steps all the way right?! I like the jumping off the big girl bridge but I never make it to the other side!!!

Yeh, spinning is not going to be a long term thing. I may go again next week to give it a fair shot but it's all quad dominate work. And I know you will get this (because the girls i were talking to about it today totally don't!)....if I'm going to spend an hour doing cardio (which I loathe) it needs to be effective in losing the fat on my hamstrings. My quads are all happy from the front view, it's when I turn around things go BUMP in the night. :noway: So we'll see where that goes....

Back to chugging. It's been a long day and I'm whooped already!! Dan has a long away trip tonight so it's me and the kids. We'll either end up at the YMCA or do movie night. Swim lessons Saturday and then clean, clean, clean. My house needs a 'spring' cleaning. I have the kids closets cleared out of clothes that no longer fit, but they are just sitting next to the boxes that they need to go in to go up to the attic. I just close the spare bedroom door and pretend all is right.

I am here and I am alive  Yeah I saw a single pound loss but I was expecting more like 3 from what I had been seeing all week so I do think I was still retaining. I was at like 136 I think and I was expect to be lower than 135 but whatever I am putting in the work so I know it is just a matter of time. I am still having some retention since I am having hormone issues and I go to the dr about it on Thursday. Basically my hormones and cycles have been all messed up since I went off birth control back in August so this is another follow up.

The reason I can't work out for 2 days is because I went to the dr for a recurring skin rash I have been having around my mouth (fun I know). It is a reaction to something my skin is coming into contact with. Could be anything from a face cream ingredient to a lip balm/lipstick ingredient to something in my toothpaste. So I need to be tested for contact allergies and they basically put a grid on my back with 36 different common contact allergens (nickel, lanolin, etc) and then they covered it with a huge piece of basically medical grade contact paper to keep it on my skin. This thing needs to stay glued to my back until Wednesday afternoon when they will remove it at the doctors office. I can't get it wet and I can't work out (no major sweating) until it is removed. So no workout today. I was hoping to get one in Wednesday night after work but Josie has swimming which doesn't get out until late and I can't take any allergy meds until Friday afternoon (which is when they do the final reading) so I have been having bad allergy related headaches so I don't know if that Wednesday workout will happen but we shall see. I do want to see bigger numbers on the scale and I know my workouts help that (even though they are only half an hour).

I cooked a lot of food this weekend so dinners are all done but they were all Italian and had lots of sodium in them so that is also not helping the retention issue either. Friday just can't come soon enough

Two things: Sorry to hear you are dealing with all this allergy testing/issues stuff! I do hope that they figure out what it is so you can rectify it soon! Secondly, you have got to stop saying 'only 30 minute workouts'. YOUR 30 minutes is definitely a Kick BOOTY full speed ahead lights out 30 minutes. So regardless of length, I am 100% positive you give everything you have to that 30 minutes. :drinker: And it (in combination with a healthy diet  ) is getting you on the track you want to be on so whoop whoop to that! :flowerforyou:

Our weekend was good (3 days - MLK holiday). Swim lessons for the boys & gym session for Mom&Dad on Saturday. Then I took of cleaning. Cleaned out closets, loaded up all the boxes to donate of Tarren's clothes, took Talan's up to the attic until Tarren's ready for it, tore apart my bedroom, unleashed on the kids toy closet. Lol. I went to town for 4 hours on the upstairs...and then I was whooped. So I waited until after prep cooking on Sunday to tackle the 1st floor. There's still work on that level that needs done but it's cleaner than it was. Lord knows it doesn't look it because my house will always have that 'oh yeh 2 boys live here look'. But I know the baseboards and walls are clean. :drinker:

Workouts have been good. Hips and joints have not been feeling great so I had been dropping the weight and upping the reps. But this week I'm going for the reverse so we'll see how my body holds up. The weather I assume is the culprit for my joint issues @ 31. And that isn't going to change any time soon as we head back into negative teen windchills. :grumble:

Time to start planning the boys birthday. I'm not sure how we are proceeding this year with 'friends'. All the parties the kids have ever been invited to have all been NOT at the family home and at some rented location in town. I don't know if we are going to go that route, break the mold and invite classmates over, or just break it down to a few buddies over afterschool for some video games and cake. This whole school aged party planning thing- I'm not ready for it. :noway:

Look at you getting so much accomplished over the weekend! My diet has been really good. Though on the weekend I am not 100% on point I am still well under maintenance and I am starting to practice moderation  Even with going out to restaurants I feel like I am doing a better job or picking low cal options and then also not over eating. I am sure I will see some loss this week but things are slower than I have been hoping considering the daily deficients but the hormonal stuff and the sodium is probably not helping either. I know I am doing everything I can and it just takes time (even if I put the weight on in no time at all:laugh: )

The allergy patch thing came off this afternoon so I can now workout (but no scrubbing it and no allergy meds until the final read on Friday). I really want to get a workout in today after Josie's swimming so I feel like I didn't miss to many but we shall see if I have time.

Try to stay warm I know the arctic is heading your way! :grumble:

This week showed a nice loss for you. Excellent. :drinker: Good work. My weight is steady, BF% on the right side of that (.) is dropping which is the right direction, so I'm not going to worry about the number. I worry about it on the weekends but I know I'm doing what I need to do on the week to lower BF% - so I can just focus on moderating myself on the weekends!! You know, the same struggle I've had for the last 4 years. :grumble: :noway: :ohwell:

I'm whooped and glad it's Friday. Thinking of going to spinning tomorrow with a GF before swimming lessons. We'll see..legs are pretty shot. Back & booty this morning. I curled back up in bed with Dan after getting dressed and putting my contacts in. Had he said, stay with me...I would have!:blushing: But he's going through a cycle of insomnia...so its not good. I figured might as well go and give him so peace and quiet! :flowerforyou:

Any weekend plans? I'll workout Saturday and take Sunday off. I like this 2 days off thing. Maybe in the summer I won't have two days off but it's 2 degrees out so one sleep in AM without the shoveling and defrosting- is amazing!!

Yeah the bloating from last week finally went down so the scale was more accurate. Things are moving right along for me as well. I had a good weekend eating wise and I actually worked out both days so that was nice to be able to get that in. Josie joined me for 15 minutes of my workout and it was hilarious. She is a cardio girl  She likes to do all the jumping moves but has not interest in any of the poses or lunges. She was too funny though. She really wanted to pick up and use the weights but the lightest thing I have is 5lbs and she needed both hands to pick up a single weight and could only lift it like 2x times before she was spent. haha

IMy weight (for the most part) has been going down and I am pleased with it since I am down over 7lbs in 3 weeks (granted it is 7lbs of weight I put on in a week but I digress). I am down to what I was before Thanksgiving, which is good but I still have the last 6-7lbs left to get down to my all time low. This is where things get rough and things just fluctuate. Like my weight was up 3 pounds this morning for no reason other than a lot of salty carbs yesterday (and not enough water). Just annoying. I did take my thigh measurements and see that they are down .5in each so that is nice. I know I am making progress but I know I am entering the hard phase and will not see 125-127 until April or so. Hopefully though my weekend moderation continues because I know that will help get the weight off faster.

Our weekend was nice. The cold snap took a break and we actually had temps in the 60s and 70s so took Josie to the park and played with her outside a bit. It of course was short lived as the front came through and it is back in the 30s-40s again. But I would take that any day over what you guys are seeing.

Made our weeks worth of food yesterday so that is nice that dinners are done for the week. Made up basically my own stuffed peppers recipe (basically a lot of mushrooms instead of rice) and that turned out well I just need more seasoning. And I also am trying out a Hungry Girl recipe for ranch chicken. Basically chicken breasts coated in dry ranch mix and then sprinkled with crumbled bacon. I took a sampling of that last night and didn't think it was too great so I will see what I think when I actually serve it tomorrow. I always have some hits and misses for sure!

How fun that Josie got into it! That makes for a good time. She'll probably love a little Chalean Extreme cardio! And you are doing excellent on holding down the fort through the weekend. Big props to you. Glad that measurements are going down as well. Lots of steps in the right direction- all good news!!

I don't have great news to report. I'm still fumbling (which I do frequently:ohwell:  ) Between the cold weather, the sick kids, the internal lack of UHMPH to get up and do it, I've been either SPOT on no wishy washy to binge city Monday. I'm a damn roller coaster. Sort of my normal pattern I'm starting to believe! So I haven't been on the scale and haven't even thought about it. I know no good will come of it!! I'll get back on it. I'll do it I'll do it I'll do it!!

Fun weekend! I missed Monday with a sick kid. Dan was back in ER (they want to schedule his tonsillectomy by February but with no sick days, we are trying to push our luck) and Tarren's still on the road to recovery with a cold. He gets so Mommy oriented when he's sick that we just buddy up and love. When he was feeling ok, he'd help me mop. Then we'd head back to the couch to 'watch his show'. Monday was friggin' cold, but it was awfully nice to cuddle. And then the kids have had two cancelled school days in a row. It was -17 this morning. This is excess even for us!! It's ridiculous. I refuse to be the ones to let the dogs out because sometimes they need help getting back in. Dan will end up having to haul them back in. It's ridiculous! They say we'll be up in the 20s this weekend, which blows :noway:  but it's an improvement. This winter has been beyond anything I've ever seen.

I think I need to find some accountability for myself. Last time when I made that big push it was knowing that Dan & Mitch wrote me up a plan at my request. So not following through felt a little like letting them down. I know we need to be all 'life style' 'do it for yourself' which I think all things considered 'lifestyle' wise- my eating and workout habits are 10x better than I'd ever expected. 10x better than what's the 'norm' of what I know around here. It's that EXTRA push we talk about to lose that last little bit. I am the maintenance queen. I do my 4-5 days of workouts/good eats like a champ. The healthy habits are there. I just need that extra UMPH that extra push to go beyond this regular routine I'm in. I'm not sure what that looks like. But I need a big fat push.

If you are the maintenance queen, then I am the weight roller coaster queen! Up, down, up, up, down, up. haha. I actually just wrote a whole blog about it!

I am sorry to hear about everyone being so sick and yeah that weather sounds crazy. I was going stir crazy myself in the house when we had the whole weekend we were iced in so I can only imagine what it is like to have that sort of thing on going. I hope things start to thaw out. I do feel bad for the dogs though. I am sure they don't enjoy freezing their butts off while trying to poop. I especially feel bad for Pixie the 5lb pom. She is barely 2 inches off the ground!

This week will wrap up my first month of JM Body Revolution. It has gone by fast. I will take measurements on Friday so we shall see where we are. They should be down since I started so high but we shall see what Monday brings. I am curious to see how intense the next months workouts will be. There was a clear difference between the first 2 videos of this month and the last 2. Cardio stayed the same (and I need some new cardio since it wasn't extremely intense). So we shall see!
