Starting JM Ripped in 30 on Monday...

I have two more days of Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred left and will be starting her Ripped in 30 on Monday. I'm happy with the results I got from the 30DS and am ready to move on to something different now. I didn't take measurements beforehand but I definitely lost inches and 10 lbs. so far since I began. I've heard others on MFP say they got good results with the Ripped in 30 also.

I'm in Wk3 of the Ripped in 30. It's definately more intense than the shred, but you'll love it. I'm wishing I had taken my measurements as well - because I defnately feel a difference.0

I've started Ripped and I love it. I think I"m going to restart it again because in my first week I missed 3 days. I shouldn't have started on a week leading up to a Holiday and family visit. I'm going to try to get it done tomorrow and stay with it for the next 6 days.0

I started last weekend. I'm having a hard time commiting to 7 days a week- but I am trying for at least 5! I like it a lot and it's a great calorie burn for only 30 minutes!0

Like I said I only have 2 more days to go with the 30DS, I stuck with it each day and did the 10 days each of level 1, 2, and now finishing the 3.0 -

Don't forget to take a rest day one day a week- your body will thank you for it.

Im also doing c25k and currently the shred on the off days.... but i really want to try and do it everyday cos im not seeing the same results as when i was doing the shred everyday before...So hopefully trying something new will keep me doing both0 -
I'm starting Ripped in 30 today. and hoping to remember to log on the boards for additional motivation. I love Jillian's dvd's. I did the 30 day shred a few years ago and got fantastic results. Just let things slide and am ready for a new workout.
Does anyone know how to figure out how many calories are burned doing a workout from Ripped in 30. Not sure how to add it to my diary.

Welcome luvsthebeach, I love the Jillian workouts too. I don't have an HRM so I log her workouts as circuit training. I think that comes closest.0 -
I completed day 1 .... I liked it. 29 more days to go. I really really need the extra motivation. Hopefully I will remember top log in here or figure out how to access the board from my phone. I have the app and use it for the diary; just not sure how to access the boards on it.0

Yes, she did say somewhere in the intro to take 1-2 days rest. I will try to force myself, I will just try to find something else to do on that day. I feel too guilty if I take a day and don't do any exercise.0 -

Yes, she did say somewhere in the intro to take 1-2 days rest. I will try to force myself, I will just try to find something else to do on that day. I feel too guilty if I take a day and don't do any exercise.
I havent taken a day off yet cos i wanted to, i plan ahead for when something comes up and that usually becomes my day off.
Have a party Sat night so im going to do my run and JM on Friday just incase i dont get enough time that do...and Sunday will be my day off because i'll be to hungover lol
Im not sure why i didnt really like this dvd...That was a pretty good workout! and way more calories than the shred has been lately!0 -
Did Day 2 of week 1 this morning. It was a little nicer today since I already did it yesterday and kinda knew what I was in for.
Kaylah, I was thinking I might try to walk or ride my stationary bike on my "off" day, not too sure yet. Have fun on Saturday night! It'll be here before you know it.

I finally managed to get back to Jillian this morning. I am doing Ripped and Gold's Gym Tank Top Arms. I added weight to the arms workout and it took a couple of days before I was strong enough to do both again. This is Day 4 of Ripped for me. I'm going to go ahead and do Level 1 for the rest of this week. That will give me 8 days on Level 1, 5 days consecutively. Then I should be ready to move on to Level 2 next Monday. Sunday will be my rest day.
I really felt like I was making great progress this morning and gave it 100%. I can't wait to see the changes in my body when I stick with it every day.0 -

@ItsTerriC - how do you like the Golds Gym workout? I have it but havent tried it yet. I have 2 little ones so I'm choosing time wisely...lol!0 -
Day 2 done!...I think this one will be heaps easier to follow...Only having to do it 6 days for the week and 4 different ones...10 days on the shred was getting to boring0

Curcuit training general most use...It is fairly accurate. I have a HRM tho, and on these workouts im burning about 50 cals less than what it tells me0 -
Girls I'm on week 2 and its crazy!!! So much harder than 30 DS !! I'm doing 30 DS in the morning and then ripped in 30 at night and wow I love it it's sooo hard for me but I love it!!!!0

Day 5 of Week 1 - done! I was in to Circuit 1 this morning when my husband called on his way home from work. He works 12 hour shifts and has an hour to drive, plus the time it takes to shower and change, so by the time he is on his way home he is at about 14 hours and is pretty tired. He calls and talks to me to keep himself awake on the drive home. After I talked to him my heart rate was lowered so I had to restart the whole program. It's hard enough to get through one time - doing an "extra" circuit was killer. I had sweat dripping off me! Three more days on this level, then a blessed day of rest.0

I just finished Day 3 of Week 1....and I'm not even THINKING about the remaining weeks!!! Girl you're in insane doing 2 Jillian's in 1 day....in a good way I guess. All I can say is YOU GO GIRL!
My least favorite exercise this week HAS to be side lunges/arm raises....I remember hating them is 30DS too though hey...no pain, no gain....right? And she definitely causes some pain! I love that I'm feeling it in my butt Soreness can be such a good feeling!0 -

Hey! I use 3 lbs for everything but where (I think its in the 2nd circuit) she has you squat and swing the weight, then put it behind your head and bend down, for those I use a 5 lb.
Good luck! I'm use to doing WW so I hope calorie counting does the same for me. I just got burnt out and wanted to try something new.0
