Finished the Dash yesterday! It was SOOOOOO great. I had an amazing time. I ended up with a time of 39:08, which I was ok with, but I know that I could have done better because I waited for friends in the beginning before they told me to just go ahead. Here's a picture of me and my friend afterword (I'm in the muddy viking skirt, repping my warrior ancestry of course).

Nice post some action photos0

LauraJo... was that after the hosing? Because you look quite clean!0
-
Haha actually no. I did throw water cups on my face though. But I finished 13 minutes before my friends, so I waited for them before taking the pictures.
I unfortunately didn't have any friends there that weren't in the race as well, so I won't have any action photos until the official sports photos come out. If there are some good ones I am definitely going to buy them.0 -
yeah because my picture is right after the race on saturday.0

Ok, so I'm nervous and excited... running the dash this coming Sunday and totally not in good enough shape for it still. So after reading the posts, here's my plan - have fun this year, do better next year (but still have fun). I think we're going to have a blast no matter what! Keep posting photos too - it's great seeing everything!0

My boyfriend's sister just suggested we do one of these... I'm a little nervous since there isn't a whole lot of time to train for it before then... but maybe next year!0

You are my idol. Seriously. Because of your pics I decided that I am doing this next year. Now I know for sure it is the right decision.
Looks like you had an awesome time! Thanks so much for sharing!0 -

That's awesome! I did the Warrior Dash in July 2011 and it was awesome. It was a fun day. I came away with lots of scrapes and bruises but it was totally worth it. They having 2 in MN this year so we are doing the 2nd one in Sept. I'm hoping this year I have more upper body strength with all the weight lifting I'm doing so I don't get a bruise the size of a soccer ball on the side of my thigh from going over and under all of those 4 ft walls. Those are hard when your short. Other than that I thought it was great!
And you look amazing!0 -
Did my 1st Dash last summer and already signed up to do this years!! Already down 21 pounds and soooo much more fit than when I did it last year. First time out my goal was survival!! This time I am really going to push myself and see what happens!! Experience of a lifetime!!0

Bump for later....may do this race this year. Def doing the Rugged Maniac in Sept0

I would love to try the Warrior Dash but if it was wet like that I think I would probably chicken out. Your photos are great!0

I sweat sooooo much whenever I run that rain or shine doesn't much matter. <-- That's not tears!0 -
I'm so glad you posted pics. Was it awkward to pick up your race packet and then did you make your husband hold it while you did the dash, or did you put it in the car?
I'm doing it in May, and logistically confused.0 -
Thank you for sharing that! I did my first mudrun last fall and am completely addicted! I'm headed to Boston in 4 weeks for Muckfest and hope to have some great pics like these to share. Well done!0
