I'm here! Are you an id or non id twin? My girls are non id, totally different. When did your girl turn 3?

I did a 10km run tonight, it hurt but I made it. I have to look into the Shred dvd's for the days that I don't run.

Hello! We are kind of absent today!

No exercise so far for me today. I still might make it to the gym. I am walking 9 miles tomorrow so if I cant then I will make it up tomorrow. I am about to have dinner. I made a recipe from my Weight Watcher cookbook. It is a breakfast casserole with eggs, cheese , ricotta, etc. It is 5 points. Not sure about calories.

I will try to get back on here later and see what everyone is up to

    Chat later,

    Good evening everyone..

Busy day today for me.. but I got my exercise in this afternoon. 38 min on the track at school..burned 404cals. Foodwise eggwhites, fiber one cereal skim milk, cinnamon raisin bar, baby carrots, fiber one bar, tuna sandwich with chz and tomato...

Tomorrow have PT early in the morning..My back is really sore tonight so maybe after a goodnights sleep(hopefully) it will feel a lil better! Loving the motivation today chipper..and you are so right- even if its only 10min of exercise..or going up 2 flights of stairs instead of the elevator..every little bit counts

Thank you Deb, chipper and Pedal for the positive pic comments..I really like to look at the differences just so far that are from 3 months ago up til now- hard to imagine how much more different things could be in 3 more months!! (Talk about motivation lol) Im actually beginning to have facial features instead of just a round blob!!

Im beginning to get shred envy as well...with all of you guys shredding and doing so well and now my sister is as well lol. I recommended it to her and she got it the other day and LOVES it! She is tall and slim, but wants to tone/tighten up without going to a gym so I told her shred should do the trick!! I was cleared to use the elliptical at the gym by PT now so maybe jogging and higher impact isnt too much further away!

Okay so Im heading to bed now, hope you all have a great evening!!

Kristin- Miss ya girl!! Hope you are enjoying your new position!!!

We are fraternal, but we look a lot a like. Tall, long blonde hair, same eyes, same mouth, she has a long face, I have a more round face. We are very similar in our mannerisms, but very different in personality. (if that makes sense) My daughter turned 3 August 3rd. TOTAL handful! I want her to be a strong person...but this is sooo hard!

    WOW 10km...that's a nice run!! I can't even run a mile...lol...not that I've tried recently...lol.
  • KD and Katy...Shred is AWESOME!!! Its only $11.00 and there are 3 workouts...level one was KILLER the first time...the second time...KILLE....tonight...KILL...lol....get the point...hahaha. OMG I was sooooo sore after the first time; but like Jillian said...You don't get this body for free. SOOOOO Its totally worth 25 mins of your time!!

OMG girls....I want to crawl under a rock and bawl...I miss you all so much...I've been doing HORRIBLE. I'm going to have to figure something out. Left work today (ate good ALL day long) was exhausted and got home, started to make dinner and the hubby came home (this is SO bad) and wanted pizza...so my cooked meal is in the fridge and we ate TONS of pizza for dinner...AND I skipped the gym for the second day in a row! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!!!!!???????!!!!!! I am NEVER like this...I'm falling....and I don't know what to do!   I keep telling myself that I just need to get into this new groove, but I am SO afraid that it's going to get worse...I can't let it! I think I just have to force myself to go to the gym after work tomorrow and get a good workout it...maybe that will make me feel better. I don't know...seriously just feeling WAY depressed right now, and I have to go to bed so I can get up at 5:30 tomorrow morning and do it all again. Don't get me wrong girls...I LOVE this new job. People are seriously GREAT and it's exactly what I wanted, I just need to get my lazy butt back in gear, and I promised myself I'd do that today, but this will be day #3 of going WAY over in calories! So...scared to weigh in next Tuesday, but I will as a wake up call. I'm headed to bed now, and won't be on again until tomorrow evening I'm afraid, but I love and miss you all dearly. Wish my luck on another day...

Aww honey, not that I want ANYONE to be in this boat with me, but that's exactly the same place I'm in right now. Terrified of Tuesday's weigh-in, in a funk and finding constant excuses to bail on my healthy living... Tomorrow is my birthday and I'm using it as a serious excuse (so to speak) to kick my butt right back into gear. Let's do this together okay? I know you can't email during the day but we can do this Kristin. This is our chance to overcome the huge challenge that will be the holidays. This is our practice. Be strong my friend!! I'm here for you. :flowerforyou:

Kristin, I think a big workout will make you feel so much better. I am a huge advocate of exercise when feeling tired and unmotivated, the issue is actually forcing yourself to go (I always fight with myself to run or watch tv and eat chocolate!).

wake up everyone. i hear a few treadmills needing to be "turned on" or a few dvd players needing to eat a shred dvd.
i am doing great. not having any hang ups this week at all. i am just waiting for the morning to wear on a little longer than going out to finish up the other half of the back yard (mow). don't want to wake the neighbors. i live in a very quit neighborhood. after the school busses come by there isn't a sound around here until about 10. but, i will be making some noise around 9. that's my exercise for today. had a big breakfast. 2 eggs, 2 light toast, 2tbls butter. 1 fat free cheese.
got me some skinny cow ice cream sandwiches yesturday when i went grocery shopping, oh my goodness they are wonderful. expensive i thought. i also go me some frozen yogurt.
well, off to do a few ab exercises and than out to make some noise.

now girls don't let those exercise machines get a sore throat by hollering for you. get up get moving. eat well today. if you are having trouble getting it all done. than just work on one thing for a few days to a week and add in somethng else. it may make it easier for you.

    check back later.
  • I am so excited... I actually was able to hold myself to 1 slice of pizza (wow)... I think that is a first for me  but anyways ... good morning ladies!!! I am in trouble today my fridge is empty... I need to go grocery shopping but I have to wait till I get paid (end of the day )... so my breakfast / lunch should be interesting :grumble: PLUS... this guy I have been seeing is coming to visit :flowerforyou: and I am positive he is going to want to go out to eat / get drinks etc.... so basically today is going to be my 'bad day'. I guess one off day here and there may actually be a good thing???? what do you gals do about this sort of thing??? Do you allow yourself 'off days'....???? Hmmm... well I am going to get back to work... have a great day girls!!!!!

    Good morning Ladies!

Happy Birthday Pedal! I hope you have an absolutely fabulous day!

Pedal and Kristin- I too have had a hard time with exercise this week. Just no time. I did get in a good walk Wednesday. I am supposed to walk today but only got about 3 hours of sleep last night. I might force myself to do it anyways and then come home and nap for a bit. We shall see. It is hard to eat well when I am exhasted also. Little one has soccer tonight and then I am supposed to go to my aunt's house as another aunt is in town from Kansas. I have not seen her in over 1 yr. I have to pull it together today!

Chipper! What a pep talk again. You are having a wonderful week, thanks for letting that run into our camps so to say!

Strawberry! Congrats on the 1 slice of pizza. That is something I have to stay far away from because my will power runs out the door at the site of pizza!

Well, I will check in later to update on what I get accomplished!

    Have a wonderful day ladies!!!!

    Woohoo! Thanks ladies

SBB, congrats on sticking to 1 slice of pizza! That's great :drinker:

Amy, we can do this - sorry about the sleep deprivation. That makes everything harder!

Cathy, thanks again for the talk!

Well, off to enjoy my day  Thanks for the birthday wishes!!!
  • Happy B-day Pedal
  • Happy Birthday Rhiannon!!! WOO HOOO!!!!! Enjoy your day! :flowerforyou:

SBB---AWESOME job on the only one piece of pizza!! You rock! As far as the free day every once in a while...I believe in them STRONGLY!! When I was bodybuilding I needed those days not only physically buy mentally. However, FOR ME...I would ALWAYS over due it and it would take me several days just to get back to where I was the day before the "free day". So I think you just need to govern yourself....I only allow myself a cheat meal every now and then...I struggled with bulemia during those times, and I don't want to be a binger again.

Kristen..HUGS....you know...changes in your life will cause a hiccup...its just a matter of planning and picking it back up. We know you will do awesome and we are totally here to support you! To be honest, I think this is a goofy week for a bunch of us. I haven't worked out nearly as much as I wanted too...still getting them in, but not like I had planned...keep your chin up kiddo. You will totally get back on track and kick *kitten*!! That goes for you too Amy and Rhiannon.

As for me...today I adjusted my calories down. I was at 1400 a day and I adjusted it down to 1200. I think this will be a very motivating factor in getting my exercise in. I can never eat all my exercise calories when its set at 1400, so this way I will eat most if not all of them...and in my mind I know that 1200 isn't enough...so it will force me to exercise so I can get those extra calories to eat. My mind works funny....

I have a family reunion tomorrow, so I'll do Shred tonight when I get home and then again tomorrow night when I get home from the reunion. I should be home by 7...that gives me plenty of time to get Shred in. Perhaps I'll try to go on a walk tomorrow too. The reunion is at my aunts cow and horse ranch, so lots of space to get out and do some exercise. :)

    Ok, tummy hungry...ttyl ladies!

    Hi All,

I love pizza too! As a matter of fact I will have pizza for dinner tonight. My family will eat the take-out and I will have a lean cusine or weight watcher pizza. Not as good but I feel like I'm getting my pizza too. I have found a couple that are very tasty and low in cal & fat. Digorno harvest wheat thin, I am not finding them in the store lately and this has me worried. The other one is California kitchen mahgrita thin. Everyone in my faimily likes these, they are not the thick & cheesy variety they prefer, but we can all eat this & enjoy.

On having a day off. I don't think this is a bad idea, since we all seem to have things that come up, birthdays, etc. Although we would have to exercise some control here; keeping it to only one day, better yet how about only one meal per week that we splurge a LITTLE (let's not go overboard). What do you ladies think about this?

Kristen, We need you & Pedal back on the right track with us. I wish I could think of something to help.
Pedal, Happy B-day & fun new pic. I also got a new camera, but haven't had time to play with it yet.

    Today:
    raisin bran & soy milk
    cafe mocha
    sweet potato & salad
    skim milk & Kashi cookie
    LC pizza
    popcorn

Exercise:Hmmm Shred or walk It's getting cold outside. Last night down to 39 degrees

Have a great day Ladies, I have a lot to catch up on & may go up north. If I decide to go I will check back in on Sun and hope everyone is getting thier exercise in.:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

seems this week everyone is talking about changes that are taking place at the home front. company leaving, new job, school work. it is change and we as women don't do change well. so, i think that everyone who has been going through these changes please read.

start doing one thing for a few days to a week (example: eating right, packing lunches, pre-prapairing dinner, so that it is ready when you are ready to start cooking. take a few hours during the weekend to do this prepairing, freeze. before you leave for work, pull something out, throw in the oven while you change your clothes or get comfy. it really doesn't take up that much time to prepair meals.

when you think you are ready add in the next thing...exercise... start slow again...if you are a gym person, go before you head home. DH can put the thawed meal in the oven. if you are a home exerciser do it while dinner is cooking. work it in. you need to do it to keep your body working right.

now putting all your plans into action everything should work out. you need to replan and rethink you daily activities now. but, they say "CHANGE IS GOOD." maybe this will break some plateus. you must take the time to redo your routine or you will fall.

ok, that's my speech for today. now sit down this weekend and get excited about the new changes in your life and get your new routine in order to begin bright and early monday morning. and use the week to tweek it.

    have a good night.

    Good evening ladies!

Exhausted today...PT kept me for 2 hours!!!!! She said " well arent you lucky my patient after you canceled! " lol Im like..hhhmmm lucky?!? She worked me out hard this morning so it just zapped my energy for the rest of the day..Do you guys think that my PT could be considered exercise for the day? I do 6 diff weight training exercises, 5 or so different exercise ball execises, basic stretching and 10 min on their manual elliptical machine. Let me know your opinions.

Foodwise today- turkey and cheese wrap, handful of almonds, 2 squares of dark chocolate, south beach living pepperoni pizza for one.

No formal exercise today, studied with a friend for like 3 hours and it ended up being too late to go for my walk.

Tomorrow and Sunday scheduled to work 12 hours sooo we shall see how I do! I am pretty sore still so Im hoping I can handle it!

Anyway - HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEDAL! Hope your day was great : )

Ill check back in just a bit- we are watching Iron Man!! So far its pretty good!

Happy Belated Birthday Pedal!! I'm off to check out your pictures.

Today we are celebrating our twin daughters' birthdays...they turned 3 on Tuesday and we had a party last weekend for my husband's family and today my family is all coming over. I was adding up all the calories for the planning meal and cake and WOW...so happy for this site as I would never have realized how many calories I could potentially take in! I am hoping to have time to do a bit of exercise this morning but if I don't then I am hoping it is ok to use my exercise points from tomorrow to put me on track as I have to do a 20km run with my running group in the morning and then I will be careful to use those exercise calories for today and tomorrow. Does anyone else do this or should I just use exercise calories day to day...

I've done good the past couple of days but find that I am hungry A LOT...I suppose it is my body getting adjusted to eating less.

I'm off to do something fun and exciting with my son who is 5 and within 15 minutes of waking up is always BORED!!

    Have great days everyone,

Hey girls. I'm alive...And guess what?! I got up this morning and went to a FABULOUS spinning class! I burned almost 700 calories and I feel GREAT! Yesterday, I ate well all day but again didn't go to the gym, came home, ate left-over pizza and then headed with one of my girlfriends to the mall. I needed new jeans REALLY bad because all mine are too big (YAY:bigsmile: ) so tried on a pair and ended up buying a size 10! I haven't been in 10s for a while and was SUPER excited! Came home later and while relaxing in the hot tub mentioned this to my husband and he started going on about how I look great and am becoming more defined and he's so proud of me...do you remember me telling you how he NEVER says things like that! SO...he is my new found motivation! This makes me want to lose more and tone more! So..THANK YOU TO MY HUBBY!!!!:heart:  So...I am excited!

I want to quick apologize to all you girls...I haven't been motivating or supportive or ANYthing really in the past few days. Thank you for all your kind words and I'm ready to get right back to it with you! This Tuesday, I may not lose, but I will weigh-in and continue to work hard. I have 3 days before then to redeem myself! I CAN DO IT!!!!!!!

Now...I'm going to try and get caught up on reading your posts later...I have SO many to catch up on...but please remember you are all in my thoughts and I really appreciate each and every one of you! And...you new gals...I really want to get to know you better! I'm back gals...and I'm not going ANYwhere!!!!!!

kistin...glad to hear DH is noticing. that is the all time one fav reason (for me) to stay on track.

Sorry for the mix up, I should've known as my son had the long hair as well until he was just over two and I cried when it got cut so don't cut your son's hair! One of my girls was so chubby when she was little that everyone would say how nice it was to have boy/girl twins even though they were both in pink!

BAD day for food, I had a couple of drinks and that took all my willpower away...I think I will have to give up my alcohol when we have parties or go out for a bit or I won't lose any weight.
