don't want to high jack the thread, but it is interesting to see a lot of the wieghts that the ladies are posting ... i'm 5'11 and I started at 241, i'm down to 224 and was thinking 190 was my idea weight, starting to reconsider seeign a lot of the wieghts poisted here by you guys.

It really depends on your body type and bone structure. I'm 5'11 and at my starting weight (223) I was wearing a size 16. At my current weight (174.4) I am wearing a size 10. My goal is to be a size 8 and weigh 150-160, which is the middle of the healthy BMI range.

    Yeah, I agree with this - it's all body type. I'm 6'0, and at 200-210 I wore a size 16 - now at 175 I'm a 12. My goal is 165 lbs and size 10.

Yep. I'm 5'9.5", and at my lowest I was at 216 and a size 16. My tentative goal weight is 165, and while it might ultimately be higher I can't imagine myself (with my giant feet, hands, shoulders, bones) any lower than that.

This post is awesome, good job ladies you all look great :) And it is amazing how everyone looks different and has different goals. For myself im 5"11 and a half-6 feet. I started out at 242 lbs, wearing a size 16 (Canada) I am now down to 192 lbs wearing size 8-10. My goal is 170 lbs, I guess im just going to have to see how things go and how I feel when I get closer to the goal. I should finally get some before and in-progress pictures, as it motivates me so much.
    :)

I think your height doesn't always reflect build so 5'11 can mean a great range in ideal weights. I would be happy wearing a uk 14, to others this would probably seem huge! But as I said for my build I think it will be right for me. I was around 12 stone when I got married many years ago and I know I felt good there so thats my 1st goal - will see waht it's like when I get there! I also think it depends on how much extra weight you have carried over the years - if you have been much bigger anything thinner is a bonus and I guess as you start to lose the weight your goals may change. For me it will be feeling comfy and healthy.
Genuinely what would you class your frame size as? I would say mine is large ( and thats not including the fat!) I have big feet and hands so think I would look pretty scrawny if I was a size 10.

Hi, ladies! I'm 5'11. My starting weight was 223 (12/28/10), and my current weight is 174.4. Here are some of my before/after shots:

My husband and I last Christmas and at my bridal shower this past April. Between the two pictures, I lost 41 pounds, and my husband (then fiance) lost 44 pounds, for a combined 85-pound loss!

    weightloss-1.jpg

I recently got married on May 28, 2011 at 175 pounds. When I bought my wedding dress in September 2010, I weighed 205 pounds. I bought the sample dress from the store, so the three pictures below are of me in literally the exact same dress. The top left picture is me the day I bought the dress. In the top right picture, the dress has been taken in 4 inches. It was still a little bit big, so the seamstress took it in an additional 1.5" before my wedding (bottom picture).

    you look great!

Hey all! Fellow tall girl here (5'11). My heaviest weight was age 14, 5'8 and 197 pounds, and then with exercise and anorexia got down to 145, until of course that lifestyle was no longer healthy nor sustainable. I was really happy my senior year of high school at 5'11 and about 175, but that has creeped up with college, and so I started after finals at 195. Currently 190, and my goal is to get to 165 by this time next year. (180 by the end of summer). Good luck with your goals everyone!

all of you tall, transformed ladies look wonderful! I'm somewhere between 5'10" and 5'11" and was 250 lbs at my highest and around 205 when I started mfp. I'm at 173 now and trying to get to 150 ultimately :) I'm trying to dig up old pictures but I passionately avoided them when I was really big, so it's tough. can't wait to post a success story someday! great job everybody!

Thank you all of you beautiful tall ladies who shared your before, durings and afters! I just started this journey myself and at 6'1" and 204 lbs, it's good to see that it can be done and done WELL! You all look amazing and are such an incredible inspiration to me. I'm going to be looking at this thread again and again when I feel like it's the unattainable goal!
