I'm 5'10 but small framed so I try to stick around 133 but if I can fit into a UK size 10 pair of jeans then I'm happy.

My aim is 12 stone (168lbs) remeber being there before and felt pretty normal! As it gets closer I will see what I think - really don't think you can put a number on your goal - a case of getting somewhere where you good.

    BTW - I am 5'11 - large frame

I'm 5'10. the lowest i have been was 145 and wore a size 10. Now i weigh 175 and hoping to get down to 140. I have incorporated a lot more strength training in the hope of losing more inches.

I agree with everything said so far. My "normal" weight or the weight I was before the kids, was about 160. Honestly, I got down to 153 once because I was running a lot and a lot of people asked if I was okay. I have a big frame and I was always an athlete, so I think anything lower and I would look too thin. But who knows, maybe WHEN I get there, I will reconsider. I just really want to be superfit again, running the streets and running my hands over the curves of my protruding hipbones!!

I'm aiming for 150 at the moment but know I still won't be happy when I get there so I think 140.

But everyone's weight is not in the same areas. I am quite proportionate so at 160, I fit a 10 at the Gap. If you have a small upper body, you may wear a larger bottom at that weight.

I'm 5'10" and I have went from 220 to 194 and aiming for 150 in the end,,I am medium framed so 150 puts me in a size 8...I'll be happy with that....

The chart I have seen gives the below numbers, but it also says...these are statistical averages and not absolutes. If you're muscular, the chart may not apply to you. (I feel like I do have a muscular build.)

Height (Ft.& Inc.) Small Frame Medium Frame Large Frame
    5'9" 129-142 139-153 149-170
    5'10" 132-145 142-156 152-173
    5'11" 135-148 145-159 155-176

Ive always thought I had a large frame, but another chart I read said to measure your wrist (mine is barely over 6 inches) and if it is exactly 6, you have a medium frame, below 6 is a small frame & over 6 is large....

I am 5'10" and started at 230 wearing a size 16 pant and XL tops... and am at 188 right now, wearing a size 8-10 and S-M tops. I am aiming for 170. For my BMI I should be between 129 & 173. Thank goodness for such a large range!!!!

I'm 5'10" with a pretty average frame, so I'm hoping to end up somewhere in the 145-150 range. My real goal is to be in a size 6 and toned up. Right now I am a size 8 at about 160 lbs., so I think that range is about right. Good luck to all of you!

This is a good chart- where did you find it? & does it go above 5'11"? I have a fairly large frame and am 6'1" so the BMI range is 140 (BMI 18.5) to 189 (BMI 24.9)- right now I'm looking to get below 200 but ultimately down to 180.

Right now I'm 158lbs and I feel like I still have a lot of toning and midsection to lose. I'm aiming for 140.

I'm 5'10", 32 yrs with larger frame. My ultimate goal is 165 - I have never been that small and have a ways to go (CW is 210 and coming off slowly). If anyone is on a similar journey, please feel free to add me.

I'm 5'11 and got down to 183 in my early 20's (10 years ago) and I think that was too small for me. I gain and lose weight proportionately, am big breasted and boned and even when I lost all the weight before (I'm now 250) I barely lost any in my boobs. My goal right now is to get to 199 and go from there. I am very solid even at my highest weight (275). Nobody believes I weigh what I do which can be good or bad. The lowest I would go is 175 but that really depends on if I lose any boobs which so far I have not done.

I am 6'2" with a small bone frame (CW: 172lbs) I am aiming for 150lbs but if I get comfortable with my weight at 160lbs or something then I will stay there. I am also trying to build more muscle... I want a gently toned body lol.

Body fat percentage. For women (depending on who you ask) it's between 18 and 25%. have a professional use a caliper to measure it for you. The caliper is way more accurate than a scale or the hand held electronic percentage thingies. I'm 171 and I'm in the middle of the range at 21%. I would like to get to an even 20% which theoretically would be the last 5-10 pounds of fat I've been *****ing about. ;)

Actually, yeah, I do think they're arbitrary. They've been shown to get really inaccurate for people who are taller and who are more muscular.... which means that even though my goal is based on a BMI of 22, this may actually be more difficult for me to achieve than say.... someone who was 5'4" and losing weight entirely by dieting, rather than intensive workouts.

On the other hand, what other sources are there for finding what a normal body weight should be? If I based my weight goal on people I saw in the media, I'd be aiming for 120 rather than 150. If I based it on what other girls I knew were aiming for, I'd be aiming for 130.

Does anyone know of a good source, inspiration, weight measurement system that really takes into account height and muscle mass? Measurements are one thing, but I find I use a scale more reliably than a measuring tape.

I'm 5'10"...I'm aiming for 150lbs...but I'm going to let my body (muscle mass) determine what weight I'm going to hold steady at. I think that as long as your happy with your health, how you look and how your clothes feel it shouldn't matter if you weigh 150 or 165...
