DAILY CHALLENGE/TIP
A lot of us have those bloated, fat days! But more times than not, it’s not a weight gain but water weight. So, with that in mind, today’s challenge will be to stay under your sodium intake for the day by 500 mg. If you do go over your daily goal, drink an extra 4 oz of water for each 100 mg you are over. Keep that water retention at bay today!!!

My success is all about portion control. I still continue to eat the same things I did before I started this journey. I will still eat tacos, pizza and french fries. But instead of 8 tacos or a whole pizza, I will cut those portions in half (sometimes more). There is nothing in the rule books that say you can not enjoy the great things in life, just enjoy them in moderation

i no longer eat second helpings of anything unless it's of something i can have like veggies or fruit...but even that is limited. i am so proud of myself and the way i handle my eating now.....0

Portion control is sooo important. I really have a hard time with it sometimes, but have really been trying to keep an eye on how much of everything I've been eating.

Portion control is key. For me I still eat anything that I want to eat but Instead of overdoing it, I watch how much I eat, more than what I eat.

Congrats to all the Losers but we are all winners!!!!!!! Portion control is so big in my life now. I weigh or measure everything that I put into my mouth that isn't already in a measured container. It has been such an eye opener for me. When I think of what I thought was 3 ounces of fish or anytype of meat as opposed to what it really is....I was stunned. I am stuck on weighing things....thank goodness for my scale.

I'm still around,.just on vacation! I.just moved almost 2 wks ago and am in indy through tomorrow. Diet not so wonderful on vacation....however I am watching my portions and certainly getting my exercise in! I bought tone up flip flops and have been wearing them alllll over downtown. Back to my routine Monday morning!0

Hey BOBers! Sorry to have been absent so much lately. My husband's sister & family were in town from across the country for a week, followed by my brother & family being here from out of state for a week, before they moved to Germany yesterday (Army). So, hope you all are doing well! Have a happy, healthy week!! Can't believe we are nearing the end of this challenge!!0

Here is a challenge for today. Let everyone know what this groupe has meant to you. I am not some one that checks out the board each day and responds to all of the challenges (an for that I apologise), but weighing in each week with you gouys has kept me motivated and focused.
Since this challenge has started I have lost close to 10 pounds even though there were weeks that I felt I was trappened in endless stagnation. To everyone who has kept this group going ...

Since I joined this group I have found t so motivating. I love the challenges and love keeping myself in check by reminding myself of the goals I've set for this challenge. I really hope I see 160 at the end of the month, but if I don't quite make it ay least I've come a long way and this group has helped me Also sorry for not being around last week. My screen busted on my other phone so I had to get another one and have been getting used to it and had to work 4 days in a row last week.0

I started my real attempt at cross training today which means I am doing a bit of
everything in one 60 minute workout. Start with the elliptical, move to the stationery bicycle
then it's on to the treadmill for a nice 15 minute run! It was fun and exhilarating:bigsmile:
I want more! Sticking to my green tea every day and careful to get lots of calcium.
I have added 3 strength training sessions per week now so I am challenged to get
the right amount of protein but I am working on that...hope all is well in BobberLand

I know I'm here extremely late in the challenge, as there's only 19 days to go, but I'd love to hop in.
In the next 19 days I hope to lose 4 pounds. The reason this could be tricky is I'm about to head out for a week in Souther California for a business trip. (My first ever business trip, I'm super excited!!) The food options could be questionable, I'm still waiting to hear the final verdict on where I'm staying and what my options will be. My saving grace will be (I hope) the hotel gym. I'll be away from my friends for a full week with nothing to do but workout or veg -- and I'd rather work out!
My starting weight (which would have been Monday) was 217. If I weigh under 213 after this is all said and done I'll be thrilled!0 -

I joined mfp in May, since joining the Bob group I have lost more weight. I look forward to the challenges & push myself every day. It has kept me motivated, I've tried things I would never have tried before ie. elipital, new receipes, also weighting myself... yes weighing myself.... I would never do this as I was too afraid of seeing what was there. But, I am over my fear & weigh myself once a week & look forward to it. I started the group at 220 lbs & now am 192. I will reiterate & quote what you said." To everyone who has kept this group going ..."

I joined MFP in Jan. The BOB was the first challenge I got involved in. I was previously doing a challenge at work - I teach - and was looking for something to keep me motivated throughout the summer. I found it with BOB. The friends I have gained through this challenge are wonderfully encouraging. I have done a bunch of different challenges over the summer, but this one was my favorite. Kristy's enthusiasm is contagious, and kudos to her for the TON of work she put into this! The website was awesome - I have not seen anything like it in any other challenges. Thanks for keeping me on track throughout the summer! I am down 17 pounds since starting BOB. If I was struggling with something, I would go on the thread, and what do you know? - There would be a challenge or comment that perfectly addressed what I was dealing with and helped me along. THANKS to Kristy (prplangl4) and thanks to all of you!0
