Just for Today: I will pack my own lunch before heading to a family gathering. I can do this! Right?
LOL I will have to do this today (Monday). Big BBQ scheduled: Burgers (no bun for me), chips, potato and pasta salads (I will bring a tossed salad) and corn on the cob (good thing I don't use butter/salt on mine). I have no idea what dessert is going to be, but mine will be a juicy peach (my fave). As a kid I hated mayo, but I acquired a taste for it as I got older. But I could do without the potato / pasta salads. I will will have no regrets when I look in the rear view mirror tonight!0 -

Just for Today: I will have a Now or Never mentality.
This morning, when my alarm went off at 5, Cricket (my naughty inner child) started in with all of her usual arguments about why I shouldn't get up and exercise. I'm usually willing to listen to those arguments because I am not a morning person. However, as I reviewed what I haed coming up today, I realized that if I didn't get up and exercise, then I would have to give up my exercise for the day. I just wouldn't have time later. When I told Cricket that our exercise was Now or Never, I realized that I would rather get up early today than miss my exercise for the whole day. That's pretty amazing stuff since exercise usually falls pretty close to the top of my list of things I'd rather skip (right after getting up at 5, actually).
