  • Love Cult of Luna, Mastodon, Dillinger Escape Plan, Isis as well as lots of old stuff like NIN & Tool. Will give some of your bands a listen!

    NIN & Tool = Awesome

I am also a big fan of Lacuna Coil, Lordi &, Otep.

Everyone should give The Metal Shakespeare Company a listen. Shakespeare in Metal is definitely awesome.

I refuse to list every single band I love. hah. But I just threw out what I listen to the most at the moment. I've only seen The Dresden Dolls once and it was in NYC, so for an Iowan gal it was pretty rad. And I love you too, thanks! hahah. And I will belieeeeve! [=
    ^_^

Lately I've been listening to a laaarge mix of everything from Industrial/Metal to really slow/quiet Indie stuff to one hit wonders to crazy Electronic kinda stuff....so yea. Hard to really say what my favorites even are right now

You're saying Jason Becker has no soul in his music?
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wFoSbjXB68

He can't even walk, move, or talk anymore but he still makes music.
  • You touch my heart invoking the great Becker. Such a sad story.

favorite genres are alternative/grunge (90s), psychedelic, post-punk, proto-punk, some metal, punk, classic rock, indie, progressive, folk, some new wave, and some motown... but pretty much rock music in general :D:D
  • Give me rock music, something funky and punchy (combining rock, r&B, and soul) or straight blues. None of this angsty, I'm angry at my father (who didn't give me music lessons) stuff.

  • Half of those I wouldn't call "metal," but I LOVE Brand New, as well as Taking Back Sunday. My ex got me in to Brand New, and its the only thing to do with him that I still have anything to do with, haha.

I don't know most of those bands. I'm stuck with the "classics". Give me Priest, Maiden, Sabbath/Ozzy, Metallica, etc. Mostly stuff over 20 years old, but I really like Tool. Also bands like Queensryche and Dream Theater.
