Today was super workout day for me. I was really motivated today. I did the Dance class and a walk around the track (1.25 miles). Then I went to my mom's for my birthday lunch and a walk (2.5 miles) after. When I got home after dinner I did EA Sports workout. Hopefully this will show a nice number on the scale tom.

Great job!!! Keep it up! :)

I finally got back on the workout wagon. I actually felt somewhat rested when my alarm went off at 5:00am so I got my butt out of bed and got 40 minutes on my elliptical before work. I will officially be weighing in tomorrow, but it's still not looking good--I think I definitely will have about a 2 pound gain from my weight before vacation. It is frustrating because I really haven't been over on calories, but I feel all bloated and constipated (I know, TMI!). Plus my sodium intake has been out of control--really need to work on that one!! So if I have a big gain this week and it is due to sodium or bloating, hopefully it will be gone next week. I really need to work on the quality of foods that I'm eating.

Happy Friday, hope everyone has a fabulous day!!!

My weigh in today was a 1 lb gain (148 lbs). I think my birthday was the factor. I am going to try and start drinking some tea at night before bed to see if this help flush out my system for all the water I have been drinking. I have been feeling more energy since increasing my net cals to at least 1200 cal a day meaning I have been eating all or most of my exercise cals.

I have found that I like walking the track at the gym. I am really pushing myself.

149.4 for me today....ugh. Way too much sodium these past few days, and these hormones are definitely taking a negative toll on my system--I feel so bloated. Hopefully that number will not be any higher next week. I've been staying at or under my maintenance calories, so I don't believe that all of it is true weight gain.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday! We're going to have some people over for an early cookout but I'll be good and stick to a turkey burger or veggie burger. Hopefully I'll get some exercise in later!

Just peeking in. Meds from surgery have me pretty groggy. My last pre-op weight was 151.0lbs for this next weigh in.

I figured my implants weigh 3.2lbs together. I think I'll keep subtracting them off my weight for the challenge, unless I can find out how much skin the surgeon removed for the tuck weighed and they negate each other, but I doubt it. It was just a bit of skin anyways.

Ok, meds are getting the best of me... best of luck to you ladies.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Izzie!

Still missing a few weigh-in's, I'll update as folks post their weights. Mine showed an ugly 2.5 pound gain, probably partially from vacation, and part due to all the damn sodium I'm eating, plus feeling too crappy to get in my usual workouts lately. Gotta get back on it!!

Sorry didn't post sooner but we were down at the lake again for the weekend and I don't have much for service down there. My weight stayed the same at 155. Now that summer is coming to an end I decided to get back on target with the workouts today. Came home and did 30 min on treadmill plus about 45 minutes of yard stuff at the lake. This work should be okay except for Wed is my bday ( will be 34) and then we are back to the lake for prob one last weekend before harvest.

Hope everyone is doing well. Once I get my computer back I will stay more active on board. Gets hard from the phone

Not a great day today. Made choc chip cookies with son today and snacked on way to many. My greatest weakness is opcorn and I have 1 more bag left then I refuse to buy more. When I know it is in the cupboard I want to snack in evening. I would say my head is 1/2 way in the game, time to get 100% there.

Did BL Power Sculpt Level 1 today for a burn of 208.

WHO WANTS TO BE A HOT MOM? - GROUP RESULTS, 8/15 Weigh-In

We’ve “whittled” down our numbers, ladies! We started out with 74 members on July 18. Now, 4 weeks later, we are down to 60. A couple of group captains dropped inactive members (those who haven’t checked in for 2 or more weeks). One member is also celebrating a pregnancy and is no longer being tracked.

Check out our weekly update below:
    Hm60F.png

No group gains this week, and that’s a large improvement from last week! Yay, Hot Moms!!

This chart is SO condensed that it’s difficult to see the personal progress members are making. After 4 weeks, I thought it would be helpful to provide some performance feedback. Let’s use these numbers to better understand where we are and to help us get to where we want to be.

First, let’s recognize the 16 moms who are on track to reach their 12/31/11 goal weights. (Chart organized by group #.)
    hp8bb.png

Special Shout-Out to :flowerforyou: swimmom2 :flowerforyou: for reaching 50% already! You’re half-way there!!

There are also 19 moms who are 50-97% towards their 12/31/11 goal weights. Here they are below:
    grdIj.png

That leaves us with 25 moms who are 0-49% towards their 12/31/11 goal weights. No reason to list them – they know who they are. This includes me, Hot Moms.

To give you my numbers, my SW was 199.0, and I have lost a grand total of 1.8 lbs since July 18. If I continue down this path, I will lose a total of 10.4 lbs by December 31, which is only 28% of the weight I need to lose to reach my GW. Considering this feedback, I have 2 options: (1) Change my 12/31/11 GW to 188.6 so I can be on track to reach my GW, or (2) Kick it up a notch, eat clean, exercise hard, and start losing more than a pound a week so that I can get to my original 12/31/11 GW. For me, I choose option 2. These past 4 weeks were hard, due to family outings and sickness, so I’m hopeful my numbers will improve. I recognize that there are just under 20 weeks left in the year. I only need to lose 1.6 lbs a week to obtain my GW, so I believe it’s still possible; therefore, my GW stays the same (for now).

Now take a moment to review your numbers. Are you on track? If not, do you want to adjust your 12/31/11 GW? If yes, don’t sweat it! It’s all about using this feedback to help you get where you want to be. Remember, there is no such thing as failure – only feedback; only results.

    Let's go, Hot Moms!!

question: eating exercise calories when im not hungry?! do any of you just not eat them? i cant! im just not hungry! and dont like eating when im not hungry!

If I don't feel like eating them I don't eat them either, but usually if I get a good burn in I am hungry and then I definitely eat them.

I made it to Zumba last night despite feeling kind of crappy, burned 427 calories, so I was glad I went. My early morning workouts have been pretty much impossible this week. I'm covering for one of my partners who is on vacation this week, so that means super early mornings so that I can cover my clinical responsibilities as well as his. Ugh. And I'm on call this weekend. Double Ugh! I'm hoping that I can get back on track with my workouts next week. I was hoping to keep up 5-6 workouts per week, but I have been feeling C-R-A-P-P-Y so now I'm just shooting for at least 3 workouts per week. Hopefully the constant nausea will pass soon--unfortunately it stayed with me until about 14-16 weeks with my daughter.

Hope all you ladies are doing well, and keep up the good work!!!!

Weighing in at 153.6  ......damn Orlando! I did my best while eating out everyday. I'm sure that I'll be back down next week. Since I've been back home I have stayed within my calories...so the journey continues.

I hope everyone has an awesome weekend:flowerforyou:

149.2 today, down 0.2 since last week. Holding steady on maintenance calories. Hoping to improve my workouts in the next couple weeks, but just trying to make it through the day while feeling yucky for now.

    Happy Friday!!!!

Okay ladies, just waiting for Chari and Izzie to weigh in for the week and then I'll post the chart. Chari and Izzie--our group could use some big numbers, so hopefully you guys have them!!!!

Still feeling yucky here. Hopefully I can get it together to at least get on my elliptical for a bit at some point today after I finish at work.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!!

Had a couples massage today and Chinese for lunch. I didn't go over board though. May try and get in a workout. This week is going to be busy getting ready to go on vacation so I may just relax tonight and start again tom.

Chari, Izzie--where are you guys?!! I know that Izzie is still logging in, but in my friends list it says that Chari hasn't logged in for over a week. Maybe she needs a bit of encouragement from the group. So Chari--if you're out there--get back on here, even if you've had some slip-ups!!!

I'm feeling run down today after working straight through the weekend. I hate working 12 days in a row! Just gotta survive until Friday and then I am going to chill this coming weekend!!!

(EDITED TO ADD: Obviously I'm pretty frustrated by my "set-back" and I'm feeling like I'm lashing out at you all who I'm supposed to be cheering on and I feel like I've been an ego-centric "me-me-me" witch with a big "B" not paying any attention to anyone else's ups & downs and just a bad team member in general. Any advice on perhaps revising my goals for the competition? Maybe working something out with the contest leader like Heather did with her pregnancy? I was thrilled to go back and see I was highlighted as a member making great progress pre-op, and it's not like I got from my pre-op 151.0 to my 9 days post-op 157.4 by pigging out and ok, well... I did spend the majority of the time sitting on my bum not exercising, but it isn't because I didn't want to or was just being lazy and making excuses, kwim? It isn't like really going off track to gain those pounds the bad way. I guess that's the crux of this being a scale-thing. WWYD?)

Ok ok! I had MAJOR plastic surgery on the 12th ladies, please keep in mind that I've mostly been in a pain drugged stupor for the past 9 days, sheesh! A full abdominalplasty with muscle repair, flank lipo & breast augmentation is nothing to sneeze at!

For reporting purposes, I'd say "no change". I'm up 2.6lbs from implants alone (1100cc silicone total at .0375oz per cc) which I'm not claiming MFP-wise for the time being (at least until I'm 2.6lbs under my pre-op weight) my bust measurement is up (Duh) from 36" to 38.5" and from a VS 34B to a home measured 36D but because my ribcage measurement is up 1" (swelling by both breast crease incision placement & abdominal surgery) I'll likely end up a 34DD/E once the swelling subsides, (my implants also have to "drop & soften" where they'll look much more natural, takes 8wks so they're looking particularly porn-worthy ATM) my natural waist is up by 1.75" from ab surgery & lipo swelling. My hips/thighs/arms are unchanged so I know the other additional 3.8lbs is PURE SWELLING FROM MAJOR SURGERY.
(no WAY I pounded 13,300 EXTRA calories in the week I've even been able to eat) Gimme a break, please. Waive it, write it off as no change or add the 6.4lbs if you're feeling cruel or just drop me from the competition altogether. It can take up to 4-6 months for the full effects of the swelling to subside, though I have a pretty good jump on it as I'm prescribed Spironolactone (drug for edema patients, I take it off-label for PMS acne, flushes sodium too). I'm also pounding lemon-water like it's going out of style. Once I'm no longer in danger from bleeding-out at two weeks post-op, I'll be switching from extra-strength Tylenol to ibuprofen for pain relief to also combat the swelling. Here's a pic from this a.m. (sorry so big, on iPhone), so you can see how bad the swelling is and how bad it screws up my frontal waist-to-hip ratio compared to my avatar pic. Doc says I'm doing freaking spectacular for only being a week post-op when he saw me. I just keep imagining my current avatar pic with the firmer tummy, cuter bellybutton, & big natural looking & feeling silicone squishy boobies that don't ride up at my collarbones ;) Sorry if I'm a little catty; the swelling has me kinda down (though I'm not dysmorphic, I know I'm going to LOVE the final results! I'm just so incredibly impatient), and I'm kinda beyond the whole scale number game this close to my goal weight at at my current bodyfat %... Don't get me wrong, moving the scale numbers is a huge measure of progress if you have a ways to go, but I find it kinda like a put-down in the contest group reports when we're all so close to our goals and ToM can totally camouflage or obliterate what is true progress on our parts. Sorry to be such a Debbie Downer today folks, I could use some serious motivation since I'm not even allowed to even do light walking for another 2 weeks though I'm just DYING to go to the gym, but after spending $13k, my hubby would freaking MURDER me if I ruined any part of my recovery. I hate feeling lazy :(

Anyways, as promised... snapped this morning only 9 days after mommy makeover surgery:

I agree with Rachel, Izzie--you look fantastic!!! And isn't that why you had the surgery--so you could look great?!! Who cares about the number, and you're absolutely right--the extra weight is likely partially swelling/fluid retention. If you want I can put you down on the bottom of the chart with me until your surgical recovery is complete--maybe another 4-5 weeks if you'd like. For me, I'm just continuing to track my weight, but any losses or gains that I have doesn't count against the group. You could do the same, and once you're back into your normal routine you can rejoin the "official" weigh in group.

Keep your chin up, girl! In the grand scheme of things you may have really gained a couple pounds--no biggie. The rest is implants and swelling! And BTW--I totally plan to do the same thing after I get back into a good pre-pregnancy shape. This pregnancy will be my last seeing as I don't want my husband and me to be outnumbered by kids, and I'm already considered a "geriatric pregnancy" since I'm 35--lovely, huh?!

Okay, here's the chart. Izzie--I put you on the bottom with me for now, you can let me know if this is okay. I'll send a message to the main group leader to let her know the deal. So ladies, the remaining five who are officially weighing in--the pressure is on!!! There was an overall gain for the group this week, but I know you guys are going to get back on track and kick it in the butt!!!! We can do this!!!
