Awww, Marla! That's so nice about your daughter. My kids take me by surprise sometimes with how sweet they actually can be with words. I'm glad the first night went well!

Marla, I hope that your visit continues to go well. :flowerforyou:
3BB, congrats on your weight loss and being 2 pounds from your wedding weight! Awesome!
Alex was singing and making sweet noises when he woke up this morning. It's gone downhill from there. :grumble: And it's only 7:30. My throat is still sore but nothing else. I need to look at my throat in the mirror to make sure I don't have strep. I really need to get some things done today so I hope Alex will detach himself long enough.
Well, I think you ladies have helped me find the key to my weight loss. I don't like it though. No sweets. And bread probably has something to do with it. I was down another 2 pounds this morning! That's 6.5 pounds in 2 weeks! I was getting concerned that it's coming off too fast but it's not like I'm not eating! According to the reports I was 153 as of 10/27. Now I'm 146!
I am going to be adding foods back in this week, since we can't get an accurate read of allergies right now. I am going to try to do it slowly though. I am also going to try to eat gluten free bread when I do add it back in. We'll see if I start gaining after that. I think I am going to try to limit sweet to once a month after the no sweet thing is over. After Thanksgiving it will be Christmas when I can have sweets again. It will not be easy and I might goof up but that's my goal.
So thank you ladies for challenging me in "no sweets"!
Sorry that was a really long post.

Woo hoo, MM! That's fantastic! Chocolate is a big thing for me. If I eat it (hold on, WHEN I eat it HA!) my body is much less willing to lose weight.

You gave me the pushup challenge so I'm glad I could have a part in your no sweet challenge. :flowerforyou:

I have a feeling it is going to be vacant in here today with the weigh-in. LOL

This is my first weigh-in as part of this group. I weighed myself this morning and I was 140.6 -- only .6 above my prepregnancy weight!

I hope I don't gain anything though because starting last night, my stomach has been kinda yuck so I didn't work out and just went to bed early and I'm still not feeling too hot today. We'll see.

Next week, Harley and I are going to go to Cincinatti (sp?) with my husband for work.. He drives to different sites to fix their robots. It'd be a 5 hour drive one way and he doesn't want to do 10 hours of driving a day all week. But he doesn't want to leave Harley or me for a week either. So we're going to go with him. This will be Harley's first trip. We'll see how it goes. I just hope I have internet access. I don't want to miss a whole week of MFP!

Gross question. Anybody else's kids poop in the tub or is it just mine? I was downstairs doing push ups. Thinking he'd be okay in the tub for 15 minutes. Apparently not. I heard him say something but I thought he was just talking. Then he screamed so I ran up, thinking he got hurt trying to get out of the tub. Nope. He made me mad so after cleaning up I went downstairs and finished my push ups, and I was able to pump out even more because I was mad. Ha ha! My son does not raise his voice for anything, so I can't get him to yell for me if he needs something. He will scream though. See? Just now I got him to yell, "Mommy, I have to potty!" and it still would have been too quiet to hear. lol
    At least he's feeling better.

Congrats Loreeb, on your weight loss! I hope you have a good and safe trip!

YAY, loree! That's awesome! This was our first offical weigh-in for the SAHM group so you haven't missed anything.

Cincinnati, for future reference. I think it is mandatory in the Ohio School System that all residents need to know how to spell Cincinnati before graduating high school. LOL Have fun! I'm sure she'll do great...unless she hates the car seat like ALL my kids did. Torture, pure torture. Good luck! I hope you have internet access as well, you always make me smile with your football baby pic. Love it!

MM - Mine have all done it once...or twice...or three times... *gag* It hasn't happened in awhile, though. I think Zeke knows now that he'll be in trouble b/c he knows better & Micah is too busy fighting for his life in the tub (I bathe him & Zeke together) that he doesn't have time to do much else. We have a LOT of pooping issues in this house (sooooo many stories) but that isn't often one of them. Sorry!

Well, at least I know my kid isn't the only one who has done it. He's done it probably 3 times. He gets really upset about it too. I feel bad for getting on to him some times just because he probably tried to tell me and I just didn't hear him. No excuse for him though.

You hear that...*crickets chirping*...that's the sound of a weekly weigh-in. LOL Have a good weekend everybody!

MM - at least Alex gets upset about it. Zeke doesn't seem to care. Micah screams "POOOOO" at the top of his lungs, which usually gets me laughing & then disciple is out of the question. :grumble:

I can't figure out how to do pictures...I've read the threads, I just can't od it. I'm a dolt.

Good morning, ladies! Have healthy, happy Saturdays!

My Saturday started off on a horrible note. Alexander has already had one meltdown this morning. And then I was completely grossed out while making breakfast. I can't even tell you why. I would be banned from the site. Let's just say it involved blood....and it wasn't any of ours. Maybe I said too much already.
But I think it will get better. I sure hope it doesn't get worse!
Plan for the day: work on Alex's bed. We want to get it done for his birthday which is the 18th.
You all have a good day!

Good morning, ladies! Have healthy, happy Saturdays!

You'll have to catch Shorerider when she's online-- she's the best at explaining it. I'd crash and burn at tryin' to tell ya-- so all I'll say for now is-- consoling2.gif

You're no dolt-- you'll get it.

MM -- the blood didn't have anything to do with a machete-- did it? budo.gif

Yipes-- hope your day gets better--

Weigh in this morning was satisfactory-- down one pound, even with the unmistakable beginnings of puffy premenstrual poof in the lower belly. That #$@! area of mine that has zero muscle tone after so many pregnancies-- swear1.gif

Still, I'll take it-- that bodes well for when the poofs are gone-- so, all in all I'm glad-- and more pleased than ever that I resisted the double batch of cookies my naughty daughter baked last night while her friends were over-- gaah.gif

Mother's visit going well-- I have to type a lot while she's here, but she's handling it well enough. She was sweet and bought pizza for dinner last night so I didn't have to cook-- hard to complain about someone after they buy you pizza worship.gif.

    have a great day !!!

Good morning, ladies! Have healthy, happy Saturdays!

Go to photobucket.com and set up an account. Then download your pic to that site. Then it will give you codes on the right side. Copy the bottom one that starts IMG and paste it into your message. Then change the IMG at the beginning and end to img (from upper case to lower case). It took me a while to get it too.

Hubby got up with Harley when she woke up at 5am. (I love Saturdays for that reason!) He got up with her again when she woke up at 8am. I got up too. He said I could go back to sleep, he'd take care of her. But I'd had enough sleep since he fed her in the am so I was good.

My husband has been on call the last 2 weekends so today is supposed to just be a lazy day for us. But I do need to pack for us for next week, do Harley's laundry, give the dogs baths before we board them, and clean up the house a little. Might not be so lazy after all but at least my husband is home so he can take care of Harley while I do all that stuff.

I"m sad. The blood involved a squirrel. I thought it was a rat. Poor thing. I'm going to go eat chocolate now. No I won't. Just feel like it. Actually right now I feel like throwing up.

Uggh-poor squirrel-poor you for having to clean that up!

THe DH is sick with the stomach flu-yuck, and my DS is getting over it, but is still grumpy. I really wanted to do something today, but I feel stuck taking care of everyone. Do you all feel like all you do is take care of people?? Its exhausting-i told my hubby that i wanted a sick day. It seems that even when I am sick, i don't just lay around and expect to be waited on-ok, ok, it could be worse!!! Winter is definitely kicking in-i feel blah, and i think hybernation sounds pretty good at this point-I am going to stuff myself and take a nap!!!! ok, that is a bad idea:laugh:

Oh my-- try a 24 hour, good, old-fashioned barf-o-rama with a family of 11.. Somehow I NEVER get the tummy bugs, thank God, but we've had them go all night, all through all family members, including hubby-- I'd drag my butt back to bed, lay down, close my eyes and hear from another corner of the house, "MOM!!!"

"Get over your bowl," I'd yell as I'd head down the hall.

Haven't had one in years like that, but, oh, the memories of our last one are still rather vibrant-- it was a night to remember, believe you me.

The squirrel has its freedom! Yay! Animal control came over to help, but the squirrel shot right out the back door when it could get out! It apparently was very much alive! I am relieved! I'm sure the squirrel is too.
JMAMA I hope all your family gets better!

Loree - I tried that on another thread & the box that came up said something about the picture having moved...I'll have to try to upload a new one. Thank you! That was much simpler than what I was reading. LOL That's nice that your hubby took care of Harley so you could get some sleep. Our 3yo got up at 4:30am this morning & my dh tried to take care of him, but he justs gets wild that early in the morning & I had to intervene. :grumble: You're a brave woman getting ready to go on the road with the baby! I hope it goes well!

MM - Ewwwwie. A squirrel with OUT blood is enough to make me freak out. Glad it wasn't dead & that it is out of your house!

JMAMA - ALL I ever do is take care of people, clean the house & turbo jam. LOL I hope your family gets better soon!

Marla - That would be horrible! When I was pregnant with Tabitha, the 4 of us were sick & that was quite enough, thank you very much. Projectile puking for 10 hours straight was not fun with 2 little boys that didn't know what was going on. So sad. Of course, it was the middle of the night, too. Puking kids are just miserable. Hope the visit continues to be tolerable.

Well, Zeke ruined my Punch Kick & Jam dvd by using it like an ice skate over our hard wood floors. It was awesome. I just bought Fat Blaster on eBay so I'm waiting for that to be sent now. Oh, well. Life goes on. It was a stupid day here today. All the kids were in really funky moods. Tabitha clung to me all day long & barely napped. Micah was just being naughty. Zeke woke up at 4:30 & his attitude reflected that all day long. Ugh. Hopefully everyone will be better for church in the morning!

Well, of course-- everyone knows it's written in the Kid's Handbook that ALL puking must occur in the middle of the night-- it's unreal.

Happy Sunday everyone-- heading to type my fool head off and get done so I can spend some time with my poor mother. She knew when she announced her visit that I HAD to type, it's our only income these days. But, still--

Visit is going well-- I'm waiting for "The Topics" that we disagree vehemently on to come up. We're both mouthy and not afraid to speak our minds-- so, should be interesting. Perhaps the Lord is just preventing it-- which is fine. I have enough stress, I don't need to lambast an old lady for being a clueless enabler for my disgraceful brother--

Okay, 'nuff Jerry Springer-- :flowerforyou: wishing you all a blessed day--

Well, here we are again - oops - should be in church right now but was sooo tired. My sixteen year old is involved in everything so I have been attending plays, honors band performances, etc. all week. Thank goodness nobody is sick in our house right now. My children are quite well and bouncing off of the walls (I mean the 3 and 5 year old, for certain not the 16 year old). Fighting the urge to down a pint of Breyers Mint Chocolate Chip. For now a cup of coffee. Have a great day moms!!
