Hi Girls, I`m in. I`m ADDICTED to sweets:sad: . Ahhh Halloween candy! I can`t chuck it either, it`s my daughters, so I gave her a plastic box and a lock with a key and told her to NEVER let me in it -hide the key-how pathetic, I can`t even trust myself with a combo lock:devil: ! Problem is, I bought some for 50% off! I have to eat it and eat it till it`s gone. SO, I`m starting fresh with you guys tomorrow. No more games. I will go and do my P90X Yoga, (hate yoga, it`s so boring) ! I also eat snacks in bed. Must stop. Please help me stay away from the sugar. No cookies, or crap for all of us, I`m gonna end up with diabetes!

    Wt. 149
    body fat-29.8%
    Goal-135
Let`s do it girls! hm4

Welcome glad your here! Get rid of the sweets trust me. Make a rule to NOT snack in bed. I got rid of my kids sweets. I just said here eat as much candy as you want right now and then I'm throwing it away. They were totally ok with it because they got to have a bunch of candy at one time. Which they NEVER Ever get. So do it. Go threw and throw out some stuff. Start now not tomorrow

I LOVE the apple dippers at McDonalds. There cold and sweet with the skin peeled off. Try those for a snack. Throw out the carmel dip though.

Learn to love fruits and veggies :)

    EvilPib,
Congrats to you for getting the motivation to change your lifestyle!
I have just started P90x and was thrilled to see someone else on here
    doing it as well!
Goodluck to you with your dieting & your work outs, hopefully soon we
will both be super thankful for making the decision and seeing it through!

    :)

  • Welcome Sam glad to have you.

Great job today arjames82! You're getting hella fit if you can stand a 60 minute spinning class. That's hard core.
I had migraines for 5 years straight, went to a chiropractor and never had one again. I had pinched nerves in my neck that was causing them. I highly suggest going.

I've been seeing a chiropractor for a couple of weeks. It's definitely helping, but not relieveing them totally. Hopefully they'll go away soon!

Well, here's to another good day everyone:drinker:

Mel, been there with the candy, can you have your hubby hide it, stick it away at night, silly but if you're getting up for the candy...

I want to do this, but haven't weighed myself in over 4 months, I'm afraid to step on the scale. I'm very active, just finsished 2 marathons, and Jillian's Making the Cut 30 days a month ago, but I have been dieting since Jan. '05, If I had just once been consistent with my eating and exercisiing instead of going gung-ho for months at a time and then sitting on my butt and eating for a few, I'd be where I needed to be, but that just hasn't happened. I can't tell you how many times I've started over and said that this time I won't fail. I think I have 15 lbs. to lose, and that in itself isn't hard, I've done it, but I always end up slacking and it comes back after my training is over. I think I'll have my husband weigh me tomorrow and not tell me what I weigh, and have him weigh me again in 2 weeks and go from there, how's that sound?

Sounds great but if you don't want to weigh yourself then by all means don't. You are gonna stick to it this time. Just think where you would be if you'd stuck to it this last time.
Our plan is to make it a month at the least. When we get there we'll all see how much better we are feeling and looking : )

Here's to a good day guys.

I get migraines aswell but have learned that they are from caffine withdrawls like a drug addict coming off a drug. I had them really bad when I was pregnant with my first daughter because I was afraid of what the cafine would do to her so I didn't drink any. but with the second one I drank 1 coffee everyday and that is all I need to keep them away.
Migraines are horrible it's one thing that I wouldn't wish on ayone!!

OMGSH I was cutting cheese for my kids lunch and had one piece because I was really hungry.
I wasn't gonna log it because it didn't seem like that big of deal.
But then I started thinking all those little things I take a bite of will add up. So I decided to log it.
110 CALORIES Holy cow! I sure am glad I logged it. I'll be logging everyting no matter how small from now on.

I was gonna make a pork quesadilla for lunch and decided I didn't need the cheese beans or tortilla. So I chopped up pork and onions and green chilies and ate it that way. Saved a ton of fat and cals and it taste just as good : )

Cleaned alot today, party on Friday, so calories burned there, ran 4 miles. Good food-wise, grapes, egg, and toast for breakfast. Salad w/ LF dressing, yogurt and fruit for lunch. Veggie chili, green pepper and apple for snack after run. BUT THEN, my neighbor  met me at the bus stop and gave me my dips from the election party last night, so I came home and ate some tostitos, 2 servings worth, and the artichoke dip, and a bit of my veggie dip and a few carrots. All in all 500-600 cal. but I had only eaten 700 calories up to that point, so if I STOP! I will be fine, and if I decide to shred or go to yoga tonight, I'll have some veggies, plain. That's my plan!

I felt really good today and my working out has been paying off. I just need to find some healthy foods so I can make a food plan.

Ok I am feeling really bad.
I haven't logged on in a few days and yesterday I went to a fish fry :ohwell:

I HAVE to get it together this week. I'm gonna bust butt, I am having a Passion Party Open House here Sat. night. Sooo that means clean, clean and clean.
Oh yea, and work out so I will look a little better...
This morning so far I have done:
30 crunches, 30 squats and 30 push ups.
Now I just have to get my cardio in!!
    Talk to ya'll soon!!
  • Ok...I've been out of touch since Thursday. I had to go out of town for a wedding, and I was NOT prepared for that. Eating out for four days, not access for fitness equipment....AHHHHHHH...i feel like I've been totally set back:mad:

BUT, I'm back and I'll be back in the gym first thing tomorrow morning....
  • Good Morning Challengers...and Happy Veteran's Day!:flowerforyou:

I just finished up a 60 minute workout with my trainer. I usually can't workout in the mornings because I have to be at work at 7:00 a.m., but since it's a holiday, I was able to go in early. I burned 953 calories this morning and I'm feeling great:bigsmile: ! I think there may be something to this early working out thing...but there's no way I could drag my butt out of the bed at 4:00 a.m. to workout before I go to work:yawn:

I will admit to you guys, that I cheated on the challenge this morning...but it was not my fault:embarassed: Because I've been out of town since Thursday, my trainer INSISTED on weighing me this morning to see how much damage I'd done by not working out for 5 days. I was actually a little miffed that he assumed that I'd done damage. I tried to talk him out of it and begged him to let me wait, but it was to no avail. To make matters worse, he weighed me AFTER I'd lifted weight for 60 minutes and consumed 4-16 oz bottles of water:drinker: Hmmmmm...did that even sound like it was going to go well? Well actually....IT DID! We were both surprised that I had lost weight, I won't reveal the amount until our "official" check in date next week, but seeing a loss under those circumstances was definitely motivation.

Now that I'm home, I'm going to fix breakfast and then clean house while I'm still sweaty.

Round two at the gym tonight....spinning class at 5:30....maybe:noway:

    Haven't checked it, sorry!

Well I decided it was time to weigh myself, and I was a smidge under 150, almost 15 lbs. up from June!!!:embarassed: This is why it is so important to pay attention. I ran 2, yest 2 marathons last month, so lots of training up to that point, 18 weeks of it. But I would eat healthfully, then eat crappy on and off all of those weeks and look where that got me!

So I need to be consistent, in eating and exercising (now that my races are over). I am going to Mexico in a month, so my mini-goal is to do those things until I leave, get to 135 again, and behave on vacation. I always plan on not going crazy, and then I do, and I always regret it, vacation is not about food, it's about family and fun!

Anyway, I did run M-F last week, and started my 30 day "Making the Cut" by Jillian Michaels workout again yesterday, did it this morning too:bigsmile: , I will run at least 3 miles this afternoon.
