Curves vs Skin and Bones!

Im not sure why people think if you lose weight, you lose curves. Surely thats down to your frame?
if you look at kelly brook, her BMI actually puts her as borderline underweight, yet shes like the poster girl for womanly curves.0 -
Sorry just to add.... The girl in the pic is in proportion to her height.
So she looks fine from my perspective... If she was any thinner then perhaps you could say she was stick thin..
Now given my height and weight it would be interesting to get people's thoughts on my figure....
However, although I feel confident already I am not going to post a pic of myself just yet... Maybe when I get nearer to my goal weight and then see which I fall into....just out if curiosity.0 -
So do you girls consider the girl in this picture curvy or stick thin?
Just curious.
Slender, but hourglass. And genetically gifted.
And I really hope that's a spray on tan, because otherwise, her tattoos are going to get TRASHED from the sun.0 -

i would regard her as skinny but curvy. Absolute body to die for.
I agree. Thin with curves.0 -
p.s. you need to stop staring at that photo, Cris. hah0

Just to clarify people .... In my opinion
Skinny/thin is seeing bones and sonetimes no curves.... The girl in the pic is NOT skinny/thin....she is slim/slender.
You can be thin or shall we say SLENDER for a better word...and still be curvy...
I'm saying this as yes I need to put weight but i still have curves, and yes I may fall into the skinny/ thin category a LITTLE bit...
At the end of the day.... If you look healthy and in proportion, you're fine no matter what size or height you are...you still have curves... Just accentuate them!0 -
Just throwing this out there! Did you know that more than 85% of men in Hollywood (Celebrities) prefer natural curves on a woman than stick thin. I watched an interview with Bradley Cooper and he said that if he had to choose between the woman that Renee Zellweger was today verses the one she was in Bridget Jones Diary he would take Bridge hands down. He said in Playboy that he likes a woman he can "hold on to". I have read many interviews in Playboy (no I don't subscribe or even buy it - I read them online) that have said the exact same thing. A woman is more beautiful when she is not stick thin. I am not a fan at all of most of the women I see in Magazines or Hollywood. My favorite actress, Charlize Theron, isn't stick thin and if a gorgeous woman like that is happy being a size 8/10, so will I.
When guys says they like curves, they mean they like big boobs and butts and don't really wanna see ribcage. Tummy curves and chubby thighs/arms however, not so much.0 -
I'm somewhere in the middle. Thin but not skin and bones. I lost my chest though..with weight loss! :ohwell:0

Can you blame me lol?
Honestly though...that just happens to be very near my ideal body type, and her tattoos were good illustration for the other thread lol.0 -
I think the title of this thread is very one-sided and unfair. Obviously the word "Curves" has a more positive connotation than "skin and bones".
As far as Bradley Cooper is concerned, a lot of actors are saying this type of thing where they love "fuller" women, but I personally think they say this so they have more mass appeal. A lot of women would resent these actors if they said they only like super thin women with huge boobs.
There needs to be love for all women, super thin or heavy!0 -
sooooo true! bones are nassstttyyyy0
-
It depends on your body shape.
Some people are naturally thin and have very boyish figures.
I am not naturally thin - I have boobs and hips and want to keep it that way!0 -

I think *I* need to stop staring at that picture!!0 -

My son would take a full figured woman over a skinny one any day. Serious as a heart attack, he has a crush on her. I absolutely cannot stand that woman.0

Me too0 -
I like concave and convex lines in a woman. My wife has a wonderful body, and curves. She's still small and light, but it's about balance. See Candace Swanepoel for an example- convex in the hips and bosom, convex in the belly, neck and arms and thighs.0

I call that lucky with enhancements.... either way its sexy0

Seems as though I have good chances of looking slender and sexy then if I can get some more weight On and accentuate my curves a bit more - bearing in mind I have a small frame... excellent news!0 -

PERFECT!! That's what I think.
If I had a body like that, I'd sit naked in the refrigerated section of the supermarket!!! LOL
Seriously, tho... I will never have that body so I'm extremely envious of the women who do, and those who can!!!0 -
She doesn't look like she works out much at all (i.e. she has no muscle tone), which is what makes me hate her. Women who can look like that and not have to hit the gym every day piss me off. But I would not say she is too thin.0

Yes, very scary to me as well. Not her size but the way she presents herself.0 -
i have no intention of losing my curves i love them they make me feel womanly, apparently my goal weight maximum should be 10 stone 7 very unlikely i would look right at that weight so i am heading for 12 stone to start and see where i go from there but if i am happy with myself at 12 stone that is where i will stop
I am exactly the same. I heard that for my height I should be between 9.7-10.7 and there is NO way I would look right like that and im fairly positive I wouldnt ever manage to get to that weight. 12 stone is my goal0 -

In my experience, when you lose weight you lose your boobs first0 -

You'll get there - positivity and determination!
As I'm trying to gain the weight I've just gone out and eaten a man size carvery ( roast dinner)!
Seeing that pic makes me more determined to get my healthy, sexy curvaceous body back! And it shouldn't take too long hopefully!
It is sooooo annoying though when you know you CAN look like that and your not far off the goal. Even I feel envious of that girl in the pic but it's made me more determined to carry on and get my gorgeous uk size 8 body back! :happy:0
