Hey, I'm dying here!! I am a self-proclaimed candy-holic and I swear it's gonna be my downfall on this weight-loss journey. Anyone out there have some suggestions for healthy snacks to take the edge off those cravings for something sweet?? Any help would be appreciated! I'm in a rut and need to get out! :ohwell:

I like sugar free candy and gum. There are these vitamuffin chocolate muffin tops that are very yummy and taste like cake. I also just tried the skinny cow chocolate peanut butter wafer bars. It reminds me of a nutty bar. Very yum :)

Dried fruit sometimes tastes like sweets, especially dried apples and dried strawberries

The Biggest Loser Family Cookbook has a lot of easy dessert ideas that are healthier. I tend to go for the weight watchers ice cream treats, though.

Fruit! Peaches, plums, nectarines, strawberries are all very sweet and have natural sugars in them.. They are low calorie and will take away your cravings!

I love chocolate so I like the Jello sugar free chocolate pudding...only 60 calories!! And I keep Dove minatures around so if I really need something sweet I can have one or two of them...each minautre is only about 40 calories. I love them!!

Skinny Cow recently started making candy. I currently have heavenly crisp milk chocolate bar (110 calories) and dreamy clusters milk chocolate (120) in my work desk. I think they are fairly tasty :)

I agree pudding is great. I also like chocolate sauce over banana's (try mashing then freezing them!).

Grilled pineapple is also good over a small portion of ice cream.

Try trail mix and dried fruit. My favorite small snack is a 1/4 cup of tropical trail mix with fruit and nuts. It definitely hits the spot.

I, too, am a candy junky, not chocolate, but CANDY! And dried fruit is a good substitute, especially pineapple! It is really sweet. Or I just allow myself one serving, sometimes that is all I need, unless it is gummy bears....

Skinny Cow and Chapmans both make very good low-cal ice cream/frozen yogurt in a low of different flavors =) try things like sugar-free jello or chocolate mousse as well, or strawberries dipped in chocolate?

Oh, nearly forgot...cocoa (or cinnamon) almonds in the little 100-calorie packs from Emerald. I do not normally like/eat almonds but Holy Hannah are these ever scrumptious.

I am a huge sweets junkie, and lately I've been getting my fix from fruits. Now is the time to do it, since there are so many things that are in season.
