Cathy, hang in there. Remember... This too shall pass.... someday, hopefully soon!

Good day for me, although really really thirsty! I'm on my 7th 1 liter bottle right now. I had been looking forward to a couple of oreos soaked in milk to round out my calories today, but I'm so full from water, I don't even want them. I just can't get enough water today.... Ugh! Sodium has been low the last few days, so I don't think it is that... If I still feel like this tomorrow, I'm going to ring the doctor, otherwise I'll float away over the weekend if it doesn't go away.

Good exercise today, treadmill, rowing machine, and stair stepper. Was ready to take off after that, but decided to squeeze in an ab session too...

    Good Morning Ladies!!!

Pedal - great job staying on track, woohoo!!!!

I am up and at it trying to finish packing and leaving here for home pretty soon. I don't know if it has fully hit me yet that I am spending 8 1/2 hours in a car today by myself! EEK!!! I was going to work out this morning before I left but then thought that maybe I would get to stiff sitting in the car that long after a workout so hopefully I will get one in tonight.

No real food plan for today, but going to try and make good choices as best I can along the road!!

Have a great day everyone! I will try and check in when I get there or at least check in again tomorrow!!!

have a safe trip amylou. enjoy your family and little vacation....

i have UNofficially hit my first goal:bigsmile: . i sure hope the scale says the same on tues. it was to get to 212.2 again. that is what i weighed when i quit smoking and started gaining again.
didn't get my steamroom in at the gym forgot my flip flops and clothes. duh. so thinking will go back on sunday and have one before the week begins. i have been using the heavier weights. this morning i went into the little ladies only section and they have smaller machines. i had pulled something in my arm last week. i have been struggling with the heavier weights on the arms. legs are fine. so i think i will use the lighter machines from now on. my running will increase next week. 5 min. run/2 min walk.
well off to shower and take my nap. glad today is the last day for awhile i had to get up at 5. he's off next week. hope he can get a car in that time. although i have enjoyed the early workout. i might continue that, but, i wouldn't have to get up until 5:45. we'll see.

    back later, cathy

Morning ladies! Can't talk for too long!

    Deb...nice plan for today!

Rhainnon...way to go with staying on it and planning!

Cathy...YAY FOR THE FIRST GOAL!!!! Nice work!

    AmyLou...have a good trip girlie!

Robin...I have days where I crave water also, but usually IS when I have too much sodium. So, I would also call the doc if it doesn't stop. Nice work on the exercise!

Katy...have fun at the wedding and good luck getting everything done...you're so busy!

Everyone else...HI! Hope you're having a fantastic Friday!

Well...yesterday I ended up going over by about 70 calories.:grumble: But it's okay. I was having a super sweet tooth craving and had 3 reduced fat graham crackers, 1 sugar free jello, and about 4 tbsp. of cool whip free...which put me over a little...but it's okay, because my husband wanted Dairy Queen and I said no, so YAY FOR SMALL VICTORY AND SAYING NO TO DAIRY QUEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyways...here's the plan for today:

    Breakfast
One A Day - Womens Multi Vitamin, 1 tablet 0 calories
Old Orchard - Healthy Balance Pomegranate Cranberry, 8 FL OZ 29 calories
Quaker - Weight Control Oatmeal Cinnamon, 1 packet 160 calories
    Bananas - Raw, 1 small (6" to 6-7/8" long) 90 calories
    279 total breakfast calories

    AM snacks
    Coffee - ground, 2 cup 0 calories
Nestle Coffee Mate - Coffee Creamer (Sugar Free Vanilla Caramel), 2 tbsp 30 calories
Kashi Tlc - Soft Baked Ripe Strawberry Cereal Bar, 1 bar (35 mg) 110 calories
    140 total AM snack calories

    Lunch
    Turkey&Cheese Sandwich, 1 meal 138 calories
Diet Coke - Soft Drink, 12 fl. oz. 0 calories
    Carrots - Baby, 7 pieces 18 calories
    Ae Yo-Lite Yogurt - Yogurt, 6 oz 80 calories
    236 total lunch calories

    Afternoon snacks
Kashi - TLC Chewy Granola Bars - Cherry Dark Chocolate, 1 bar 120 calories
    Grapes - Raw, 1 cup 62 calories
    182 total afternoon snack calories

    Dinner
Well...I think I'm going to make this enchilada dish for dinner. My husband is putting a sump pump in our basement today and some friends are coming over to help, so I figured I'd make something everyone can eat. It's definetely not low calorie though, but I am going to plug it in the recipe calculator today and see what it is if I use fat free ingredients instead of the normal full fat...I'll report later and if it's not too bad I will share the recipe...it's SO good!

Workout plan...I'm going to try and go to the gym and run tonight after work, but my legs are really sore, so I will see how I feel when I leave here. I am planning on spinning tomorrow and Sunday morning though, so if I miss tonight, it will be my one day off this week. We will see. I weighed myself this morning, and am the same as my "Wednesday" weigh in, so hoping to lose a little over the weekend.

Well...time to get some work done, but I'll be back later! Have a FABULOUS morning!

    Good morning!

Sounds like everyone is gearing up for their holiday. I love Thanksgiving but am hoping that the food doesnt get the best of me!

Today's plan is to get Owen to school. Then go to Weight Watchers with SIL. Then we are trying out a new class at the gym. It is called Boot Camp. Maybe some of you know it? My SIL personal trainer teaches it so she wants to try it. I know its going to kick my butt!

I dont have food planned yet today.

    Be back later!

    Good day!

Kristin, sounds good! I hope you can find a way to make it with healthier ingredients so you can really enjoy some! If not, I guess it can be a splurge meal

    AmyLou, safe trip!!

Cathy, great that you won't have to get up at the crack of dawn for a while. I hope you get your steam room in! And, CONGRATS on achieving your first goal!

Deb, thanks! And YAY YOU for making a plan for today!

Amy, Cass, Lauryn... hello our lovely lurkers! :flowerforyou:

Everyone else have a great weekend!! We've got a busy one - dance class & Santa Claus parade tomorrow plus friends come for dinner after we watch the parade together. Sunday we go to my in-laws' to visit (YAY!) and have a little birthday celebration for Ava, then Monday is birthday extravaganza day for Ava! I guess it's a weekend of challenges between hot chocolate at the parade, people ordering East Asian food after the parade, birthday cake Sunday AND birthday cake Monday. But I'll make it. Just need to come up with some great options. Like skipping on the cake on Sunday and maybe mixing a 1/4 cup or so of just cake with one of my low-fat puddings on Monday? With 1/2 a banana or something? And deciding on something yummy I can make for myself that is E. Asian-inspired. I know just the thing! Excellent :)

Alright, off we go to another busy day! Oh, and I had the same weigh-in today as yesterday so it looks official to me!! :drinker:

Kristen, Going over by 70 cals one day is really no big deal. I'm having an "easy to make" enchalada dish for dinner today too.

pdxmomof2, Boot camp sounds like a butt kicker. Something I'd like to try.

Just finished my shred dvd and feel pretty good about today so far. I think I will go to a health food store sometime this weekend and look for a few things. I am going to start trying to cut out artificial sweeteners this week. I will try to find the agave nectar, stevia, or maybe ??zyletol -not sure of spelling and maybe some sweet herbal teas. If anyone has any suggestions to add to my list please feel free.

I also will make myself a list or plan of action of ways to get through the holidays without going overboard, but still enjoying myself.

    Have a good day:flowerforyou:

Day two of the unquenchable thirst. I ended up drinking almost two gallons yesterday. And am up to a gallon already today. I did call the doctor and set an appt for this afternoon, if it had just been the thirst, I probably would have put it off, but now I have a weird metallic taste in my mouth, and had dizzy spells when sitting at school to have Thanksgiving lunch with one of the kids. I plugged in that thanksgiving meal, and admittedly I don't know exact brands or anything, but almost 800 calories. And 1000 mg sodium. Good thing I worked out this morning, I may be able to make it ok the rest of the day on calories.

Deb, thanks for the concern... Doctor says if I feel lightheaded again over the weekend, go right to the ER... Not the doctor's office, not the walk-in clinic, but to the ER. Evidently, even though it's been over a long period of time, I could have water poisoning, something about sodium levels... He's ordered a full blood workup, urine tests, some osmotic test, a thyroid test, and a fasting glucose test for tomorrow. Sugar level in his office was in the normal range, 101. He wants me back in his office on Monday, which is kind of a red flag, because normally they just call you for test results, and usually that's only if it's abnormal. So... wait and see I guess.

He told me that the 3 to 4 liters of water I drink daily (for the past year or so) is way too much. I should only be drinking 2 liters at most. The two gallons I drank yesterday almost made his eyes pop out of his head. It's funny though, other than the thirst, I feel fine...lol

Told me to increase my sodium over the weekend. I actually printed off the past weeks food and exercise reports, and it was nice to have him look at it and say it looked pretty good. Came home and told my husband what the doctor said, and he said maybe let the diet go for the weekend. But I'm not sure that's the way to go either... I can still eat relatively health I would think... Just get to eat saltier stuff, lol.

drtamm, I would still be tired too. Good you are losing. Our last check in is tue. Hope we are all still down by then.

Alliestar79, Welcome. This challenge is coming to a close. We will start a new one tue. check it out under sixers holiday challenge. Be prepared to list your stats & goals.

Pettmybunny, Please be careful. I've heard of this water poisioning and you could throw off your electrolyte balance & worse.

Kristen, Hope you get a chance to check-in over the weekend. Things are too quiet here today.

Hi everyone else, Hope your having a good day.

So ladies, my 228 was a hold from last week or two. I am maintaining. My sister is in medical school and is telling me that I must calculate my BMR... because I workout to much and don't eat enough. What in the..... lol. I am trying to beat my steady weeks. I love maintaining but I want to remove more weight. Whew!!! Enough said!

I have been at my Mom's since wed night. On Thurs evening we had fried salmon patties, and tonight I had a fried wing and baked sweet potato and veggies. I need to stop this. I never fry at my house and suddenly I have entered the fried southern household. Yes I could have said no but I didn't because I have been working hard and its okay to stray sometimes.. but two days in a row is out of line.

Thanks for listing and PRAY that I can get this together. I don't want to reverse my weight loss!!
    Take care!:flowerforyou:

    Hello beautiful ladies!!

Just checking in quick before heading to bed!! I made it to my Mom's house safe and sound but got pretty nervous when her internet wasn't working at first and I didn't think I would be able to check in!! I will try to read all the posts here soon but right now am so exhausted from the drive (Tammara I don't know how you did 14 hours!!!!)

Pett - I hope everything gets straightened out, what a scary deal!!

Planning on C25K Week 2: Day 3 tomorrow morning outside but will have to bundle up quite a bit!! Yikes!

Foodwise I actually did okay today. I'm sure I went over but hopefully I can make up for that tomorrow.

    Sweet dreams everyone!!
