  • Still here!

My exercise program varies: I try to go to the gym every day though overall as of september it'll drop back to 3 days a week so I'm making this part count!

In general every day I go to the gym I do 45 minutes on the stair machine (i'm transitioning from the manual setting to increasing the incline and resistance to the hill type of program). I also walk at least a mile on the treadmill afterwords. (according to the machines although inaccurate as they may be I aim for a total of 650 calories; however long that takes me)

After that I alternate strength training Arms/Abs one day with Legs/Abs the next. (the middle is where i seem to carry most of my weight)

I'm also considering running the treadmill for that 1-2 miles (or working up to that) and possible 30 day shred on days where I am running short on time during the school year.

So that's my plan if you can call it that!

    Hey!

My workout week is as follows:

Sunday -- weight machines and dumbbells for upper body (lift as heavy as possible), then cardio machine for 30 to 60 minutes

    Monday -- Rest day

Tuesday -- weight machines for lower body, lower back and abs (lift as heavy as possible), stairclimber for 15 minutes, cardio machine (elliptical, bike, treadmill) for 30 to 60 minutes

Wednesday -- weight machines and dumbbells for upper body (lift as heavy as possible), then cardio machine for 30 to 60 minutes

Thursday -- weights for lower body, lower back and abs (lift as heavy as possible), stairclimber for 15 minutes, cardio machine (elliptical, bike, treadmill) for 30 to 60 minutes

Friday -- weight machines and dumbbells for upper body (lift as heavy as possible), then cardio machine for 30 to 60 minutes

Saturday -- weights for lower body, lower back and abs (lift as heavy as possible), stairclimber for 15 minutes, cardio machine (elliptical, bike, treadmill) for 30 to 60 minutes

Sorry! I don't have a Facebook account. If I don't get to the gym to workout, I use my Treadclimber and dumbbells at home.

No worries! We will do most of our chatting over here anyway, I just wanted to make sure everyone knows that there are several places to go for support, plus the facebook can be easier on a mobile device for some.

Everyone's workout plans sound great so far!

My gym schedule is mostly just in the morning :) since so far I've been super tired at night.

I go walking /jogging for 1 hour and swim for 1 hour every morning. I'm trying to do push ups and hitting drills for popping each night for this week. Tuesdays and Thursdays I have popping practice for 1-2 hours. Saturdays I have popping classes for around 3-4 hours. I'm trying to fill in the other days a bit, but as someone that doesn't normally workout much outside of dance, it's been really hard getting together the motivation.

well I'd say that dance is really good exercise in itsself! So do you watch "so you think you can dance"? I love that show!

Yeah, I love watching "so you think you can dance" :) I've been missing it recently due to me attempting to watch less tv/online tv, but they're such amazing dancers.

Unfortunately my dance schedule is usually only a few times per week, so I've been trying to practice myself and work out outside of it, but as some one that hates any form of exercise other than dance :) it's been difficult.

Haha yeah, I definitely fell slipped off the wagon on Sunday, with the rain preventing my usual morning walk and waking up extremely late :( I didn't have time to weight myself this morning, but I'm hoping I didn't gain much... I'm hoping to keep up my current pace for August, so that I'll be on a good track for the semester :)

I don't have a real consistant work out. I do 30 DS (currently on L2) 3-4 mornings a week and I do at least 30 minutes on the elliptical every evening at work...(usually hill intervals). I really concentrate on my eating habits since I'm not as consistant with my workouts. In about 2 weeks, my son will start day care and I will have a little more time to do more exercise!!

Just wanted to check in on you ladies and see how everyone is doing? Having any challenges? TOM is my main challenge right now, and it really has a grip on my emotions this month. Can't wait til next week when I will (hopefully) have a loss on the scale, and an improved outlook on everything.

On a positive note, I had a NSV in that my new middle finger ring is a lot looser now! I have to keep turning the stone back to the top of my hand because it's slipping around, and in the past the first place I ever notice weight loss is in my fingers for some reason. Yay!

I don't have a set workout plan. It's going to change once my oldest daughter starts kindergarten on the 22nd. I'll be working part-time and will lose the ability to workout at the gym during lunch as I'll only be taking 30 minute lunches.

I'm trying to do a pilates workout at least 3 times a week. I'm considering getting the Wii Fit to have more workout options at home. I also have 3 Jillian Michaels DVDs and Bob's Weight Loss Yoga DVD. I like to run (well jog) but it is too hot here in Texas to do that outside at any time of day. I also like to bicycle but haven't been out on the road in a while. I'm cancelling my gym membership after this month. I might opt back in after we get used to my part-time pay. If a good deal comes along I might just jump on it.

I guess I'll have some trial and error after next week figuring out a workout routine. I might try going to the gym at 5 am before my membership expires at the end of the month. That would certainly be rough but well worth it.

I try to get in the gym at work 3-4 days a week and walk on the treadmill as well as do some weights and some core muscle groups. Also my husband and I have been getting up early in the morning and walking about 45 minutes our neighborhood has lots of hills so that helps a great deal.

This is an area I need to get better in because I know if I added a workout everyday into my daily routine it would help wonders!!!!

    Happy Birthday Erica!!!!

Weighed in this morning did not lose but did not gain . . . this has been a bad week I know it is all stress. I move my son to college this Saturday and I have been all out of whack :-(

    Next week will be better.
  • Official weigh in!

    8/4/11: 144
8/11/11: 141.5 (not entirely happy with this number as i've been hovering here all week and peeked yesterday after the gym and saw 139.5...got myself excited thinking I made my first goal...but nope. lol)

    8/4 - 176.6
    8/11 - 175.0

I'm happy with that! :) Sorry I'm not on here more; it's been an extremely busy week and the kids have been super cranky this week, too.
Took a walk to the PO this morning and walked for about 25 mins total with the kids. I've been slacking a bit this week and my eating habits have been a bit questionable... Really hoping I can get myself back on track better by next week when things (should) calm down a bit. Congrats to everyone on the weight losses! Keep up the great work!

Hey ladies, I'm with Audra, we should start a new thread to weigh in this week since we are already at 5 pages over here. Those of you who have already chimed in with your weight, would you mind coming over to the new thread I am about to create for this week? I will link you to it momentarily. (I hope you don't mind Ellen! I know you are on holiday!)
