Methinks I will always have curves - this is a good thing
Me too, and I love them! It's actually the one thing I don't want to lose, my curvy shape0 -
Great work! I'm inspired!0

Hi ladies i'm 5' 4" also, I am 31 yrs old and from the UK, I started on here almost 7 weeks ago at 192lbs, i have lost just over 10lbs so far, now down to 181.4. My goal is to get down to at least 150, ultimately 130.
Feel free to add me as a friend0 -
5'4" here at about 183-184.. my goal is 150..0

I'm 1/4" shy of 5'4". I'm currently 167 with a few lbs of water weight. Started at 180, trying to get down to 140. I have a medium frame so I can hold more than a lot of "little" girls our height! haha
Last week ^.0 -
I'm a 5'4"er too! I think the highest I have ever been is 140 and was soooo uncomfortable--with the extra weight I was carrying around and my body image. Whenever I see the scale creep up to 135, I head straight back to the gym and start eating nutritiously again. I pretty much yo-yo between 128 and 133 but would like to eventually get to 120 which was my high school weight....can't believe back then I thought that was fat!
Jillian Michaels is only 5'2" and in an interview said that getting to 115 she was super ripped but it was difficult to maintain. She then went on to say that 120 was a better weight for her to keep and feel good (read this in either Shape or Self a year ago, so my accuracy may be off). I think she looks fantastic and you know her body is a fat burning machine!
Very happy to see everyone having very healthy and realistic goals. I was afraid to click on this link thinking there would be a bunch of people saying they want the unrealistic standards of celebrities that tout body weights of 110 or less. I know everyone is different with bone structure, muscle mass, etc. but that just seems scary low. 115 is probably the lowest I could ever get and would have to be living a very structured lifestyle (absolutely no cheats and exercising 6 days a week). I think if I hit 120 I would be very happy to maintain that or 125, as long as I could "live a lil."
Cheers to all you fellow 5'4"ers and best wishes in your healthy lifestyle endeavors!!0 -
Yes I am 5' 4. I started this week at 170 im down to 162 doing atkins. I have never been over 170 except during pregnancy. But I was very skinny my whole life before kids. MY goal is 130 as well. Its a comfortable size 6 for me. Not to skinny and not to curvaceous. Add me as a friend if you would like. Keep up the good work, I do have pics on my profile.0

You should set your goal, noone else can tell you where you will be happy at. Keep your goal at 150 then reassess later on.0

YOu look amazing great job.0

Yup I am! Started MFP at 173, currently stuck for about 3 months at 152-155 ish. My goal range was 140-150, but after being stuck for so long I would take 149.9! Haha!
I am the same! 152 to 155 the whole summer now:sad: . I am so ready to say goodbye to the 150s. My ultimate goal is 135lb.0 -
Hi! I am 5'4 and 28 years old. I was about 123 at my highest. I have always been smaller and have a very small frame. People think I am crazy when I want to lose weight. They don't understand that everyone is different and carry it differently and that being over 120 is a lot for me.
CW: 116.2
first gw is 115
second gw 110
ugw 105!!0 -
Hi I am 5'4" My goal is to get down to 120 because that is when I think I looked my best. Currently at 144, got up to 180 while I was pregnant(no one told me you didn't literally have to eat for two.) I still have a pooch two years later and I just aint havin it anymore. I can't wear any of my cute high waisted clothes because it looks like I am carrying a throw pillow in my underpants, and don't even get me started on the mom butt and the muffin top. I have been stuck in the 140's for the last two years fluctuating at my highest to 160 and enough is enough. I was 120 when I graduated from college and that was when I looked my best.0

I'm exactly 5'4" tall and started out at 169.2, currently at 143.8. My goal is 138 but may adjust it once I get there. You look amazing girl:)!! Good luck to your continued success!!0

I'm 5"4' and my SW was 196 CW is 188 and GW is 145....I've only gotten down to 145 once and it was after i went through basic training (i was air force)....i stayed there for a few months and then stress helped put on 15 lbs....and i was in the process of losing that when I got pregnant with my son....in the last few months of my pregnancy i had some health issues that caused me to put on more weight then i should of...when i get down to 145 i'm sure i'll decide whether i need to lose a little more or not...0

It's great to hear other peoples goals who are the same height. It's amazing how people look and feel different at different weights. I was 120 until about 6 years ago, now I'm up to 140ish. My current goal is got get and stay under 125. Keep up the good work!0

I agree. Funny how we can all be the same height but weigh different. And, how some of us can look better with more pounds than others can. It is all an individual thing.0 -
soccermum75, you are I weigh about the same and I am having the same problems you are. If you find a solution please let me know.:bigsmile:0

I always felt tall as I was growing up. Even though I was average. One year for our school pics we were lined up by height. Shortest to the tallest. I was one of only three left when the teacher told me to stand up. She says that I am not that tall just skinny and she had to work me into the middle of the line. I think that this episode made me think that I was too tall. I have heard that the average for a woman is 5' 6".0 -
I am 5'4' and currently weigh 155. I keep going up and down between 151 and 157. I cant break the 150s....how did all of you guys do it??? I really want to be 140.
