Wow! A 30 mile hike and you’re still standing! Thankfully you carried supplies with you, but the rigorous travel has taken its toll. You’re beat and really just need to sit down and rest for a while.
The area you’ve reached is a fairly thick forest area. Trees surround you and you can only imagine what else is lurking around. There is a river down a steep embankment…and on the other side of the river is an abandoned boat.
Some of your teammates decide to head down to search the boat for additional supplies and whatever else might have been left behind. You notice some 2x4s laying near the river’s edge and you realize you’ll need to use them to cross over the river.
Your guard is up… something just doesn’t feel right. Something is off. You wonder…are you going to have to fight off more of the undead? You see a few of them stumbling towards you…and only a true warrior would be able to make it through to the end…

STORYLINE

You’re still in disbelief! First of all…you can’t even believe that you actually saw a plane! You tried your hardest to flag it down but it kept going. But hope is not lost…it looks like it landed on the rooftop of the medical building up ahead!
After all the encouragement you’ve been giving and getting…you and your team bolt into a sprint towards the building! Could this really be it? Could you really be rescued??! As you approach the building, you confirm that the plane is on the rooftop. You holler to your teammates that THIS IS FOR REAL!!!
But wait…as you come over the hill, you see the building is surrounded by the undead! You haven’t seen many of them as of late, and now you know why. They have all been feeding on the other potential survivors…or not so survivors. As a team, you know what you must do…you know that some of you might not make it…but you can’t go down without trying. You charge the medical building in the final fight of your life!

Remember our fight when we came out of the bunker? Well it worked so well for kicking some zombie butt… (and so many people had great feedback about that week) that we had to incorporate it into the challenge again.
Yes…this time there are more reps in each category. Yes…its designed to challenge you. Yes…you should still strive for 100%! Challenge yourself to do more of each exercise than you did last time! (See what amazing progress you’ve made).
Like before, break these up to make them work for you (a little of each exercise each day, focus on 2 exercises per day, or bust through them allowing a couple rest days, etc).
Alternate Description/Modification For Tuck Jumps: Ninja Jump Tuck: Starting position is kneeling on the floor, with your butt resting on the bottoms of your feet. I find this exercise easier in bare feet. In an explosive motion, power up and land on your feet. If you need to, USE YOUR HANDS ON THE FLOOR IN FRONT OF YOU to help yourself up. Immediately upon landing, jump into a tuck up. Drive your knees up to your chest and smack them with your hands. Return to kneeling position. This is one rep. As always, challenge yourself to go beyond what you think you can and modify where needed! You know your limits so be to challenge yourself but don't push too hard either! If you are injured, please let your captain know asap to make alternate arrangements.

:explode: STORYLINE

What a frenzy! It’s so loud! The moans of the undead…and the blood-curdling screams of those less fortunate. The planes up above were your motivation though and you knew you had to fight for your life to get into the medical building. You barely made it through the monsters to the door of the medical building…BUT YOU MADE IT!
Once you enter the medical building, it’s a whole new world. It’s a scene from a sci-fi movie…but then again, you realize nothing seems out of the ordinary as you’ve been living this surreal experience for weeks now! Military personnel guard the double doors once you enter the building and you’re forced to go through rigorous screening to be sure you have no bites or scratches. After being cleared, you are given a ration of fruits and vegetables. You can’t believe what a boost you get even from the smallest amount of real food. Its been a long time!
You’re advised by the Military personnel that THERE IS SPACE ON THE PLANE FOR YOU. The plane is leaving soon, so you’re instructed to get to the rooftop asap. Obviously the elevators haven’t worked in quite some time…so the stairs are your only option…

:explode: 4000 STAIRS
*ONLY GOING UP THE STAIRS COUNTS. This challenge is to go UP 5000 stairs. You can use actual stairs in your home or a building…or a stair climber type machine.
*Aerobic steps & Wii steps do count, however, a four-count (up, up, down, down) is considered 1 Step.
*You’ll remember…this is a re-visit of our very first challenge in July (1800 steps) and we upped the ante again in August (2500 steps).
*Let’s see how far we’ve come…SET A PERSONAL GOAL…COMPLETE MORE THAN YOU ORIGNALLY COULD …make great work of those stairs.

Hi seems to be a conflict in the instructions, is it 4 or 5000 steps please?
And by servings of fruit and veg, would two potatoes be the same as 5, for example, I mean, would either count as a serving, or is there a generally excepted idea of 'serving'? Thanks.0 -
