    Happy almost-Friday! Thinking this long holiday weekend could be like trying to avoid landmines... fun, friends, bbq's, etc... eek! Monday is weigh-in :-/ Strategies to share Bombshells???

    Listen to your body. It knows when its full. Try a LITTLE bit of everything, and not a lot of anything. Fill up on whole foods, real foods. Be active! Try to avoid the alcohol (personally, I wouldn't :P) and water water water!

    I have been doing great with the park far away challenge. I think that is a good habit that I would like to try even beyond next week. Not sure I will do it every time once the weather is snowy, but I will try.

    I just finished the ab workouts, feels great!!

    My inner child is more at peace these days. I have been taking a lot of time to reflect on where I've been, where I'm going and how I'm going to get there.

    Well I can say that I must have been right about my weight gain this week. Because I re-weighed myself today, 2 days after initial weigh in, and I'm down 2.2 pounds. So the gain was from mother nature. I will re-weigh again next wednesday to hopefully see another loss of at least a pound!

    I will be hitting the walking challenge today as the family and I are going shopping this evening and out to eat for family night! Will try to keep the eating down to minimum!

    Going to do abs right now, will do workout after awhile! I have also decided not to go to the gym as often. Nothing against it, because I really enjoy going to the gym, it's my time away from everything and where I can just let loose, but with school now in and my son having so much going on during the week, I am going to stay home and do my workouts during the week, I will go to the gym on friday, saturday, & sunday! I may slip in another day during the week if I have a day off during the week! This might also help bump up my weight loss as I have started to notice that my body isn't burning calories as quickly when I'm at the gym due to being use to the workouts I'm sure. So this mix up might help confuse my body and bump things up again!

    As for inner child, haven't done anything yet!

    I was a good girl and did everything I was supposed to do. I can't remember what day weigh in is though. Hope it is not today as I did not weigh myself!

    On Mondays the new challenges are posted, so think that is the day, or by Tuesday since we started on a Tuesday :)

    hmmm, yeah, that is not gonna happen, avoiding alcohol for the holiday weekend lol! I like your other suggestion about listening to my body. I read something not long ago about that "pause moment", ya know when eating and you slow down, and the thought crosses your mind that you might be getting full, that is the time to put the fork down and call it done. I thought it was one of the most helpful things I have read in a while!
  • No kidding on the pause/full thing. I have been ignoring my signal... Not good. Not to mention I was sick two-three days and one of my daughters too = missed three days exercise!! BUT, got 30 DS today. Getting back on the wagon! Feeel too crummy from overeating not to!

    Down 1.6 ponds woohoo, exceeded my weekly goals for weight loss (thank u green veggies), water intake, and calories burned from exercise (thank u inner child & ab crunches)... even with a very social calendar this last week! Can hardly believe it - whew! I think I am getting the hang of this :bigsmile:

    Did totally vegan today. Was a lot easier than I thought. However did not drink any coffee because I like cream in my coffee so that kind of kicked my butt. Otherwise did my cardio. Will weigh in in the morning. Did not have a very good week so will probably be up. My own fault. No one to blame but myself. Everyone looks to be doing really well. WAY TO GO EVERYONE!!!

  • I am typically a total optimist. BUT, how am I supposed to incorporate this routine into a day packed with 30 Day Shred already?? I feel like such a wuss! lol.... Guess I will have to work out twice a day! :) Good variety Misty!

    good moning ladies. I am back at it. This weekend was super busy, didn't even bother to log... but I am still down so that's good. I am SOOOO close to the 150's, which is my goal for Disney. 0.5 pounds away from it.

    Morning!

    It's a windy rainy day here. Bleh weather for sure. It hasn't been such a good morning for me. But it might be getting better. Sometimes having to repay the government for going to school stinks! They were saying I was late on my payment but it's auto debited. Only reason why it's late - because it was a weekend and my due date the 3rd was Saturday. You know they could have taken it on the day before. That would have been logical but they won't or can't do that. So it should clear by Friday and if not I have to call Sallie Mae back to find out what's up. The girl I was speaking with was real nice and polite. I appreciate that a lot since I also work in customer service and know it's not always easy dealing with upset customers and I was surely upset.

    As far as weigh in - I had gone up last week and now back down only 1.4 lbs but hey not to bad. I guess I should fill the form out at some point.

    30 Day Shred is kicking my butt but I'm going to continue to do it. I'm still on level 1. This will be my 3rd day. I should have done it yesterday but we also had to bug bomb the house and dealing with an upset cat because he doesn't like car rides and then cleaning up the house after was enough to where I didn't want to even bother with anything else. I did manage to make a good tasting chicken dish out of cooking light recipe and had some fresh sweet corn on the cob with it. Even Daniel enjoyed it!

    Okay so I got to finish up here and get prepared for the work day.

    YAY for meatless Mondays! One of my favorite new things to eat is broccoli slaw. I put it in a pan with some water to steam, add garlic, pepper, a little Italian seasoning, and pepper flakes, then add some pasta sauce. It is way yummy! It's like spaghetti without the carbs and calories :)
