I have been doing Jillian Michael's 30-Day Shred which includes rows, jumping jacks, and some ab exercises. So far, so good. I am more conscious about reading nutrition labels when I make my grocery purchases these days. It is really enlightening!

Thankyou. I was very down earlier but I realised that feeling sorry for myself and giving up made me gain weight in the first place. So far today i've been doing good :)

Drinking lots of water today to hopefully take care of the sodium from yesterday.

Anywoo I'm gunna go get breakfast.

I'll do my rows later and take a long walk and maybe a nap after.. lol

You all have a nice day.

Hey bombshells. So I'm a big enough person to admit when I'm stupid and last night I was stupid and had far too much to drink (stayed under my calorie count, though). No working out today, working all damn day, but I will probably stay under my calorie count (because I keep throwing up whatever I eat). Ugh. Never again. I mean it. Never again.

Good morning my friends. So week one in the history books. I am not going to weigh in until on Monday's. Feeling really good. It has been a GREAT week with all of my new friends in this with me. Makes me feel like a new person. Have a busy day planned ahead of me so I am going to get started. I am hoping that all of our Bombshell Betty's that were affected by Irene are safe. Hope they keep us posted as to how they are doing. They are all in our thoughts and prayers. Have a GREAT day everyone and will talk to you all later.

Doing well on the food and exercise front today. Woke up after sleeping 23.00-07.45 without waking once then came down to feed the dog and children. Did 30 day shred day 5 level1 then went out with the family kitchen shopping (we need to redo our kitchen!). Only bad food thing so far is that I didn't eat anything until 11.30 - not good for my metabolism!

Came back and had lunch, then went out BY MY SELF with the dog for a walk for 75 minutes - piddled down with rain in the last 15 minutes and I looked like I was entering a wet t shirt competition! Why did I wear a white t-shirt!:blushing:

So, rows done (tick!), me time done (tick) food intake under control (tick) - doing great today and full of energy!

I'm not going be able to show the fruits of my efforts this week - my weight has gone up due to muscle gain from 30 day shred (I can really feel the muscle in my thighs). It will all be worth it in the long term though - I'm looking long term for results not week by week now. Having said that, I can't wait to see those numbers go under 13 stone!

I hope everyone had a great week. I really enjoyed the challenges and I can't wait for next week's challenge. Does it start on a Monday or Tuesday? I wasnt exactly sure as it seemed the last time we started on Tuesday. I'll still weigh in tomorrow and fill out the form.
How is it working out with everyone's buddies? I have an awesome buddy and we communicate with each other often. Just wanted to see if everyone else found their buddies to be equally supportive.

Hello to all my beautiful bombshell Betty MFP friends! I hope everybody has had a good weekend! I unfortunately went over on my calories yesterday, but today I did really good, but fell a little short on my fiber and iron levels! Just can't win can I? Anyway, went to the gym today and had over 2 hour workout burning 1313 calories. In that workout I finished my rows. Looking forward to next week's challenge. Tomorrow in my weigh in and form to be filled out. Kinda worried I may have gained weight, but I guess if I did then I'm just going to have to keep working on it, I will not give up!

Me time today was done by shopping with the daughter! And spending time on here!

I will be filling out the form & weighing-in tomorrow too. This first week has definitely been a "challenge"... more of an eye-opener to get on the stick with regular exercise. Having a buddy is more motivating for sure, and she is brutally honest, in addition to be being awesome! We send lengthy messages every day, and with the time difference (she is in England), we each have a something inspirational to read from each other every morning

Looking forward to the next week!

Hello Betty's! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday! Having a good day, although I didn't get my me time today but that's ok. I have a hair appt on Tuesday afternoon so I'll get some then. Busy today with family stuff and of course laundry  . I've managed to keep my calories under so far; I haven't eaten much today; saving for dinner.

    Talk to you all later!
  • I need to get better about checking in here. I look at it everyday just not sure what I should say. Rows are part of my weight training routine so check on those! With four kids my me time is my gym time and I was able to get in an hour and a half today! Didn't eat well today but by some miracle was able to stay under calories. Getting on track this week. We just moved out of town and I am hoping to have lost a good twenty pounds or so by the time I see everyone again at Christmas. Got to get the food taken care of!! Lots of you ladies are doing so well. I am truly inspired and motivated to do better!

I've just filled out the form. I've met all my challenges this week and I'm up to day 6 of 30 day shred - really seeing differences already. Big NSV for myself - I looked at my stats taken last month for another challenge and have lost a total of 12 3/4". So even though the scales have gone up, my overall size has gone down  I'm wearing a pair of shorts that I couldn't even do up last month and they fall down during exercise!

I second the benefits of being in different time zones - there is nothing better than waking up each morning to find a personal message just for me. Thanks Roxane and thanks Misty! Between us we are going to have made massive improvement to our health and the way we look by the end of this month.

Just did my form. Is the calorie burn question going to be on there every week? Just curious. I had to guess this week.

    Just feeling real quiet today.

I weighed but I'm disappointed and feeling like I've failed myself and my buddy.

I really don't want to start the cycle of what's the point of trying this might as well give up mentality but yeah it's going there.

We'll see how it goes this week.

    Amber393:

It's a new week and a new chance to show us what you can do. Forget last week and focus instead on the one ahead - you can do it and you have the support of everyone in this group to keep you going. Log on frequently (minimum of once a day) to help keep yourself motivated, put a photo of yourself that you hate on the fridge, so that every time you go in there, you get remotivated to not look like that again, whatever it takes to keep on track.

We are all here for you.

I am loving these weekly challenges. I like to type them up for myself and print them out so i can see every day what my challenge is for the day...

    Week 2 (8 /29/11-9/4/11)
    Goal 1: Exercise:
When I go to the park I will walk if possible from the longest parking spot. ( I cant walk to park from where I live), I will park at the furthest parking spot at the grocery store ( unless its raining. I got kids) and I will do my stomach exercises every day! :D
Goal 2: Nutrition: I will go to the farmers market to get my produce. And I will eat something green at every meal! :D
Goal 3 : mind/body/spirit: I will repeat every day “ I deserve to arrive at my destination with out detour!” and I will allow myself to forgive myself for my mistakes..

    Week 2

Weighed in and recorded - Check

Week 2 Day 1 Exercises - Check, my legs are killing me and my stomach. In a good way though  I also parked in a far spot in Krogers and carried my 12 pack of water to the car. I know I know bottled water but the algae is real bad in the area here and the filter we have is broken.

Week 2 Day 1 Nutrition - There were peas in my chicken pot pie soup! Those are green. Check.

Week 2 Day 1: Body/Mind/Spriit - Working on this one!
