Hey girls!!! Week 5??? What?? Already?? Crazy!!! I am so happy we have a great team! How have you girls been doing on the challenges? Do you find it harder to do the nutrition challenge or the exercise? Remember Mondays are our rest day. We have been doing really good on our water Would you girls rather post your points on here instead of sending me a message? That will let all of us know how we are doing and then we can offer our support where it is needed. Just let me know what you think.

Thanks Amy for the new thread :smooched: and my vote would be to post on the thread so we can support one another.
As for your question, I find the exercise WAY harder than the nutritional part of the challenge. I do like that Jen puts up different types of exercise - cause it gets me to try new moves that I wouldn't have tried. Also the exercises that I like, I put into a cardio routine now and do a few mins of each to make up some cardio time.
OH YA and Freaking 205 points for our team yesterday is totally awesome. YA!!!! Pink Panthers

I agree posting on here would help us support one another more and see how others are doing. The exercise challenges are by far harder for me then the nutritional challenges. but they are called challenges for a reason right? lol . My body needs challenged so hopefully I can be more toned and not so flabby.

I am able to tell you where I am at today...
I am taking it a little easy today because I worked out hard all week and I have my charity 5K tomorrow so I want to have energy for that. I worked out for 30 minutes today at a little easier pace. I did the lunges though.
I know I am not going to be able to meet the nutrition challenge with three restaurant meals. Today is the last day of that though so I will be back on the wagon by tomorrow.
What's harder for me depends on the day. Certain nutrition challenges are easy for me and some are harder. I generally am able to complete the exercise challenges with little problem as long as I can find the time.

Total: 40 points

I am walking for a charity called Not4Sale, it promotes projects to end human trafficking. I work with victim's of trafficking as part of my job, so it's kind of a work event too.0 -

Anyone tried Zumba on the wii? Killer workout that is FUN AS HE... HECK!! Seriously... sooooooo fun! And the burn numbers were rockin'!! I haven't been able to use my wii as it is in the basement and the basement had some water leakage. Soon, I can add that to my routine... Can't wait because I loved ZUMBA!! I was Zumba-fied! ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!0 -

Stopped in to check on the "Goals" for the day... I am so excited about the challenge... wish we could choose one day to do "double" the challenge for "double" points... because I would freaking dance my butt off for an hour!! I'm really excited about this one! Will strap on the old HRM to see what the burn is... even if it doesn't "count" for our Cardio time! But... now that I said that - I might message Jen and suggest we have a "double coupon" type day or something that she throws out as a surprise each week. And every team gets double on that day! Or a "bonus" day type thing... Hmmmmm... my brain is working -- on a weekend?!? Ahhh, stop it! :laugh:
I am about to head to the gym, have a friend going with me today. Should be interesting... she's in shape and walks faster than if I tried to run! But, I don't know that she could stay and keep up for the entire time! I will probably stay for a significant amount of time... aiming for more miles today! And, hoping to get in a swim... But, want a good burn too.
Decided to really refocus and recommit. Slipping a little is a slippery slope - so I am going back to being strict with myself! :grumble: Decided that I need to refocus on myself and the goals each week. Haven't done my "weekly" goals for a little while now so I started that yesterday. Goals for my week (Fri-Thurs) are 1) Log all food strictly! 2) Gym at least 5 days, burn at least 5,000 cal 3) Less Pop, More Water 4) Re-do first 3 days of my program 5) Meet the exercise and nutrition challenges for LTL 6) More Sleep, Less Stress and 7) Put on my Big Girl Panties and GET OVER IT! :laugh: Yep, I gotta get over the mental blocks and excuses that would not be in line with what I am trying to do... yes, one cookie is too many! So, no sugar in the next 3 days with focus on protein and veggies. I always feel better when I do this right. The sugar (processed, but my first 3 days also means no fruit until day 4) makes me sick to my stomach and doesn't help me at all! So... here's to my next week. Gotta run (almost literally) - need to be at the gym in the next 15 minutes!

I didn't do so good yesterday. i got my 20 min cardio and my nutrtion but my back started hurting last night so i could get my lunges or do my wii time...i am feeling better today so i am going to hit it!!!!! hope everyone has a great saturday!

Hope everyone is having a great day. I am going to take the puppy for a walk and then we are going to my daughter and son in-law for a barbeque. Can't wait to see my granddaughter. She brightens up my day. I can't help but smile back when she smiles at me and her whole face lights up. she is 3 months old now and starting to cue, and loves to hear her own voice. So precious. I have had a WONDERFUL day! Completed an entire Sprint Triathalon PLUS at the gym today... felt like I could've worked there I spent so much time there today! A Sprint Triathalon is 1/2 mile swim, 12.4 miles biking, and 3.1 miles running. Today... I did (not in order but...) 1/2 mile swim, 13 1/2 miles biking, 4 miles elliptical at a 'jog' and 1 mile on the treadmill. Total was 19 miles for the day and exercised more than 300 minutes!

hope everyone had a great day. My barbeque was really a surprise anniversary party that my older kids put together. IT was so sweet, My older kids, my grandkids, my mom. dad, step-mom, brothers, sister in-law, and 2 of my nieces were there. My kids even put together a picture board. It was an eye opener to see how we have both changed. My hubby is alot grayer and I am quite a bit smaller, YEAH. And I only had 1 bite of cake, off of my husband plate yeah for me.......0 -
