Thanks everyone. I feel soo much love from everyone. I am sorry that I am not able to come here as often as I would like to. Today was a better day for the both of us. I had a massive migraine yesterday, but I am doing better today. It is still there, but managable. I completed my stuff today (yay). I am having a hard time getting to the Ronald McDonald House (where I go to workout), but still managing not to give up. I am stuck in this hospital room 21 of the 24 hours a day. I am not complaining, but just so shocked on how I manage to hold it together.
Have a great night.0 -
Nica - thinking of you and so proud of you for holding it together like you are.
Today was wonderful and delicious - yet I still stayed under on my calories! I am truly proud of myself for managing my portions so well today - we went to a Creole cafe for brunch and then to Buckhorn Exchange (aka Meat-R-Us), where I had yak for the first time (lean and delicious!). By cutting my portions lately, I just can't fit big meals anymore!
Under on calories, over on water, and loving life!0 -
Nica - I admire you. You are an incredibly strong woman.
Today was a good day. Under calories, over water, exercise in, challenge done. Exercise session was a tad on the "go easy" side today, as I am still looking for my legs, but still got it in.
Hope everyone's day was happy and great!0 -

Nica, have you ever watched A Walk To Remember? It's my one of my favorites. Of course the book is always better though.
Very proud of you getting to the Ronald McDonald house to workout. Can we know your daughter's name so that those of us who pray can add her to our prayer list?0 -

Brandi, I would have LOVED the Buckhorn Exchange. I would have not eaten for 2 days just to be able to sample every meat. Yak? Hmm I don't know. Maybe a small bite. Sounds like you did a superb job of controlling your portions which can be tricky at a restaurant. WELL DONE!!! You make your team proud!!!
Tip Gary gave me once. Whenever you order a plate off of menu from a restaurant always ask for a to go box to be brought at the same time and immediately put half your meal in it. Most restaurants give double sized portions and you have a meal for at home later.0 -

Most excellent, Janet!!! Hope you have had a great day!!! :happy:0 -
G'day everyone or more like good evening!
I've had an upsy/downsy kind of a day but it's all good! The sun was shining, as a break from studying I took my neighbour's kid out to the park and had a little run around with her for a couple of hours. By the time we came back it was lunch time so I cooked a "Father's Day" lunch for my beautiful hubby, shed a few tears (can't pin my finger down as to why) and then got my study on!
Thanks to my girl KJ I was able to finish off an assignment which was driving me up the wall! Tonight I wanted to have salmon for dinner but I didn't have the calories to afford it. So, I cooked salmon for my hubby and flattie instead and I made myself another tilapia fillet!
I sooooooooo wanted to try their salmon because I'd layered it with pesto and sprinkled (liberally) parmesan cheese on top. I didn't have a try though because I'm TRYING to stay away from dairy. I made it through dinner and enjoyed mine as much as they enjoyed theirs!
Hoping you are all enjoying what is left of your weekend! Sending you all some love xx0 -
Lori - That's pretty much what I did. I ate all of the yak (because it was really yummy...it's the only meat that the Dalai Lama misses from his youth - he's forced to be a vegetarian now) and only part of the elk on my plate. I only ate a few Rocky Mountain Oysters for the appetizer and now I have tons of leftovers in the fridge - Elk, bison prime rib, and lamb. Good stuff!
My goal for this challenge is to go from 244.3 to 235 at least. I have a lot of weight to lose and being focused this month should keep me on the right track. I want to increase my endurance and strength - which is pretty low right now. And biggest of all, I want to get into the habit of doing a challenge-like routine every day, whether I'm in a challenge or not. Eventually I want to be in good enough shape to go hiking in the Fourteeners.
I'm inspired by every one of you and I look forward to what this month will do for all of us!0 -
hi everyone just a quick check in as still studying hard out.
Ok cals under
water done
21s done
JJ done
extra mile done
Now time to finish my document:sad: . Hope everyone is doing well and I'll have to catch up on reading all the posts 2morrow.
Nica - sending my love from across the sea and hope your little girl has a good day today:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: .
Lori - I'll post my goals for this challenge 2morrow when I have time to think about it:happy:0 -

Hello all,I have completed day 4. I am so feeling it. I can't seem to get rid of this migraine:sick:
I am very grateful to be on a team with the most supportive ppl that I have ever came around online. I have met a few ppl on another site and we still keep up with each other, but out of over 200 friends on that site, there is only about 6 ppl that I still communicate with and that ha dwindled down to about 2.
Lori - My daughter's name is Davondra James. We call her Dee. I don't know if I ever post her site up in here, but I am going to do it now just incase someone wants toread her full story and follow her journey . Here is the link: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/davondrajames
Thanks. Gotta go. She's calling for me
Take care, luvs.0 -

Hey Nica - drink HEAPS of water throughout the day. If you can always have a 2 litre bottle nearby because then you can also keep track of how much you are drinking. Kia Kaha (be strong in Maori) my sister girl you and your daughter will get through this and we'll be here helping you along!
You were both in my thoughts today whilst I was on my run. I've got a half-marathon coming up in October, I was wondering if it would be okay for me to use it as a fundraising event for your daughter...I'm sure with her being in hospital there may be financial strains so whatever 5c I can get for you will come in handy. Let me know and NO IT IS NOT A HASSLE OR WHATEVER I'm already running the half and if I can do it for a cause it makes it WORTH IT that much more!
OKAY, TODAY'S WORKOUT IS AS FOLLOWS:
Got home and did the exercise challenges if you want to see what I did before the challenges check out my exercise diary note section. For the challenges I had to go PYGMY today because of work which is where I'm heading in about 20 seconds!
1 minute bear walk - check
100 jumping jacks - smashed
25 split squats - killed them
50 crunches - burnt all the while I was doing them
The amount of walking I'll be doing today will be between 2-3 miles. So that will go towards the challenge as well as the extra .5 a mile I ran today.
Finished it off with the TABATA workout > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkCnNrxHwFE&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Go hard PEEPS let's kick this week into action xxxx
BTW Lori - how do I update the spreadsheet? It won't let me enter my starting weight for this week as well as today's point for the exercises.
OKAY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOODBYE until tonight my darlings xxx0 -

Well, I'm pretty emotional right now. Crying. She is my daughter's age. And she was a cheerleader like I was. I want to meet her now. I'm going to spend more time on the page tonight. I'm mad right now because she is too precious to have to be going through this. This is when I have to put my life verse of Proverbs 3:5-6 into effect and trust that He is allowing it for a reason and in the end He will be glorified through it. Still, it just breaks you and you just ask why, why, why. Why this child? Why?
Love you Nica. My respect for you is enormous. You are so strong to be working out with us while taking care of your beautiful and precious baby.

I was thinking of you today and I'm working on reading through your journal on your baby girl's site. You are such a strong and amazing woman and I feel blessed to be on this team with you. I'll keep you and your beautiful daughter in my prayers as we travel this journey together.

Lori- Thank you for the badges :flowerforyou: I love them! Also, I've been thinking about my goal for the month of September and I'm going to loose 15 pounds (that would put me at 250 even) and be able to wear my size 22 capri khakis again (I can get them up right now but there is no way I can button them, I'm currently sporting a size 24)
Let's go team Victorious Secret! We're gonna rock September!!0 -

That's a lot to lose in just one month BUT you can do it if you really push yourself mega hard the entire month!!! I support you 100% Marie!!!!!! :flowerforyou:0 -
This is so annoying. No clue how it's getting switched onto view only mode.
Testing link yet again:

Don't have a lot of time right now, but wanted to check in.
Today is my rest day but new I was going to friend's for dinner so did my treadmill. So, water over, especially cuz of drinks, calories under, and exercise in.
Hoping everyone had a good day and Nica, I'm thinking of you and yours! XOXO0 -
Not much time to write - just wanted you to know that Sunday is my day off (although we went hiking in the Garden of the Gods today, which was pretty wearing...) and I look forward to going again tomorrow. Under on my calories, over on my water. Good night!0

Hey Lori
Still no luck with spread sheet. Today's weight was 68.2 kgs / 150lbs
Water over & cals under. I think I'm nearing the TOM because I'm beginning to feel like I've got worms ie: constantly wanting to eat!!!
I am tired and just want to hit the pillow before I start stuffing my face with the unnecessaries! Nica when I get a chance I'll have a proper squiz at the blog. Meanwhile - prayers, love and thoughts continue to come your way xx0 -
I'm also having no luck with the spreadsheet. My weight this morning was 242.7.0
-
Todays weight is 148. Forgot to post last night. Got everything done.

We didn't finish the Week 1 that was posted last week. I thought we were posting our weights on Sunday/Monday and the week began on Thursday and ended on Wednesday - since that's how the month started...
So, today I did 100 JJ & 2 sets of 21s & an extra mile (total of 4 miles on the elliptical).0 -
WOO HOO!!! Weight is down 5lbs. Yesterday I was a little intimidated when I saw this weeks agenda for challenges, however I must now report that I am gonna "KILL" this week. Bring it on, I am ready!! Hope everyone is having a great day!!!0

I am so sorry. Gary didn't realize he mistake of only figuring up for 4 weeks until AFTER we started this month then he had to change it all even the spreadsheets. Interesting that this new one he made is the one giving us trouble.
I am SWAMPED today. I am trying to be on when I can but won't have much time till this evening.0 -
Praise be to the heavens above Tribe VS... your captain finally got the edit feature on this new spreadsheet FIXED!!!! Here is the link to it and also the link to the sheet for EXTRAS. Log away including your weight for this week. WHEW. I thought I was going to go insane solving this one. Master Copy for Sept Challenge: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiJ-z3hO1RegdFR2UDNUY1NHM3NHbUhkeTF3RDRCcnc&hl=en_US# Sheet for EXTRAS like Tabata, 5K etc.. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiJ-z3hO1RegdEUyV1JfYmJSeTMxRzBlVVNkVURZT1E&authkey=CI_tpf0F&hl=en_US#gid=00

★Our Tribe is sincerely kicking booty in this September Challenge. The reports of loss I am reading about just in week 1 are PHENOMENAL★
I also lost one pound and I am now at 131. Hoping to reach my final goal of 125 by the last day of this month.
Now that I FINALLY got the edit feature working again on the spreadsheets I will go back through all of these posts tonight and update all the info. If you want to now try to update your own that would be FABULOUS, but no worries if you don't because I will work on them this evening!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE!!!! I'm sadly not a tech genius and it takes me awhile to solve stuff.0
