1. Has to come with his own fishing pole.
2. MUST know how to cook on a grill.

You used to be on my friend list, but I won't hold it against you .... haha.
I'm very particular by nature so of course when it comes to something as serious as "marriage material" I have a list of criteria:
1. I have to be attracted to him: mentally, physically & sexually.
2. Intelligence. He has to be able to tell me things I don't already know... and talk about the things I do know, in depth.
3. Athleticism. I HAVE to be with an athlete. I'm athletic and I enjoy sports, I need a guy that can compete.
4. Personality. We have to match. He has to be able to tolerate my abrasiveness and my sillyness and he has to be able to match my wit. He can't get offended, he has to be secure & confident. He is asertive and very masculine. I don't date wimps!
5. No kids. I don't date guys with kids. Double standard, I know, but its just me...
6. Future Potential Growth. He can't be happy with a mediocre life, job, house, etc. I'm not the kind of person that settles and he will be miserable with me if he is.. I have to SEE his potential. He doesn't have to be a VP or a big shot, he doesn't have to be rich, but I have to see that he has the potential to use his creativity to be successful in life.
7. Someone that will never make me compromise, settle or otherwise feel like I am getting less than what I WANT.

I'd love a wife who would cook, clean, do laundry, and wash my pick-up. :laugh:
But since I'm a straight female, that makes things awkward, so I'm not holding my breath.
As far as a husband...
1. Christian
2. Tall (or confident enough to be with someone who is 5'9" and loves high heels)... It's all about him being able to make me feel safe and cherished.
3. Intelligent
4. A sense of humor to mesh with mine
5. Willing to be an active part of my huge family. Not just my immediate fam, but extended as well.
6. Can handle working on the dairy with my dad when we visit. It's not a physical kind of work, but the mental kind. Farm work is tough, both mentally and physically, and while most can handle the physical, not everyone can handle the mental.
7. Can handle my devotion to my job and kids. I don't have children of my own, so my students mean the world to me, and he'd have to be okay with that.
8. Supportive, kind, sweet, compassionate... The only relationship I've ever cherished is the one where he treated me like a princess. I'm not much of a princess, but I crave and deserve the royal treatment!
9. Knows how to really kiss. Kind of like the humor thing, you either mesh or ya don't.
10. Can put up with me!

in no particular order
1. has a job
2. doesn't live with his mother
3. treats his mother with respect
4. no smoking or drugs or contagious diseases
5. decent credit rating
6. snugglish
7. not a prude
8. no criminal history
9. decent driving history....if i can't insure you i can't date/marry you
10. the divorce papers must already be signed, sealed and delivered and the ex wife under control
11. must like kids and dogs
12. can handle camping, in a tent on the ground with the bears
13. can keep up with me
14. will give me my space when i need it0 -

I used to have a long list that was comprised of the wrong things......my mother told me to look for the following:
1. Had a job and wants to keep it.
2. No drugs, smoking and excessive drinking.
3. Takes out the trash
4. Knows how to fix things.
5. Sense of humor
I had to add a few things:
6. Loves animals
7. Prefers to not have children
8. Kind
9.Not a head case...there's only room for ONE of those in a relationship and I have that sewn up.
