I would wait until you're at that weight and can try stuff on.

I have never lost pants/trousers size ever. I've consistently been a size 12 when I was at 125 lbs or at 150 lbs... My bum just doesn't want to lose weight. Only my size in skirts/dresses changed from a UK 12 to an 8.

It will greatly depend on how tall you are and what your shape is like. I'm 5'11, 153 and wear an 6/8. My Mom is close to 150, 5'4 and wears an 8.

I'm very compact, which I can't complain about. Currently 172lbs ish and UK12-14/US8-10 with things still big in the waist at the lower size due to my bust/waist/hip ratio. 145-50 at 5'5 is about my goal and the upper end of the healthy BMI chart. If my current size is anything to go by I expect to be about an 8 (US4) which is pretty darn small for that weight! I knew I was smaller for my weight than most but I didn't think I was that much of an outlier until these forums.

Moral of the story? Get onto resistance training ASAP, I was a gymnast and dancer so had good base musculature that kept me smaller for my weight and reigniting those muscles since losing weight only highlights just how much good it can do.

Depends on height, shape, genetics, and brand, lol.

I'm 5'5" and 136 pounds and I wear a 6. They're loose on the butt and thighs, but I have a large waist so they give me a bit of a muffin top still (but everything does, even if I can take it off without unbuttoning it. So weird). 8s are just too loose. That's Lee brand... I don't really buy much else so I can't compare (I think I have an Old Navy size 2 somewhere that fits fine though). Otherwise, I wear a S.

I'm guessing that in Europe I'd be a medium at least, as I have a medium/large frame.

5' 8" and at 145 I was a size 4. I'm about 5 lbs away from that right now. 6's are getting big, but 4's are still a little tight. It 100% depends on your height and body type though.

Size has to do with inches, not pounds, right?

    I am not up to 145 but when I was, at that weight I wore a 6-8, because 40" hips. I'm 5'9"

I'm 5'2" 156lbs I'm a size US8 but I can get into some 6s if they run big. I have a very big bust so I carry most of my weight up top.

I'm 5'3 and currently around 145 lbs. I carry most of my weight in my gut unfortunately, so I'm in a 10-12.

I'm 5"7 and when I was 145 I was wearing a size 6 (US/Canada). Trying to get back down to 145 now, just a few more to go~ But it definitely depends on your height and body type.

I am 5'4" and when I weighed 145 lbs, I was a size 6. I am not 159 lbs and a tight size 10. My issue is my bottom size, My waist is a full 10 inches smaller than my hip size because I have a jay-lo butt. I have issues finding jeans that fit in the hips and thighs but are small enough for my waist. I usually buy Lee's from JCPenny because they fit correctly. They also have another brand there that fits me well called a.n.a.

I'm 5'9" and 150, size 4 or XS depending on brand

I was 135 and a size 7/8 several years ago - height/weight and size are only loosely related - measurements when you get to goal will tell you what size you need

I'm 5'5 and wear a size 6 (27 European) usually. I do have a pair that is a 5 but they're on the stretchy side and are probably more like a 6 than a 5

I'm 5'6" and 155-ish. I am getting pretty comfortable in size 10. I'd imagine your stats could put you in a 6, 8, or 10 depending on brand and vanity sizing.

    And I am 5'9, weigh 145 and wear a size 6.

Another example of same weight and weight and everyone is different.

It really depends when I was 140 pounds I used to wear a size 12 because I have bigger hips.

I'm 5' 4.5" At 145 I was in 6-8. Though it's worth noting that weight is such a rough measurement. Last week I jumped up to 143 after a half marathon and was still in my size 4 pants just fine. The excess water weight came off last week so right now I'm at 137 and in a 4 mostly, sometimes a 6 if there's not enough stretch, sometimes a 2 if the sizing is generous. I am moving towards mostly a 2 in dresses though.

    Hello,

Am trying to get some general jeans/pants size for woman around 145 pound. I am 5' 3.5 inches and my goal weight is 145. I am curious to get some ideas of possible pants sizes. I realize that everyone is built differently, but just wanted to get a general idea to see if my goal is relistic.

    Thanks in advance :))

That would depend on someone's height, shape, frame size (thin, big boned, muscular). I've known people who were taller than me at that weight and wear a much smaller size than me and those that wear the same size as me and are taller than me. Just depends on their shape and frame. Right now I'm about 150 and I wear a size 10/12. I'm 4'11.

    I’m 5-7”, at 145 I wear a 6 in jeans and dress pants. I have huge thighs, otherwise I’d be a 4.

    When I was 145lbs (started off at 154lbs) I was comfortably a UK size 12. I'm 5ft 2. Every 10lbs for me meant I dropped a trouser/dress size.
