I'm 5'6" and I wear 8 to a 10.
Most 10's are too big though.0 -

This is a really OLD thread but I'll chime in anyway because it's important to understand that body type matters a lot.
It seems like a common answer here is that women who weigh 145 are wearing size 8. However, I am 5'6" and 168 pounds and wearing size 8 (in several different brands). However, my body shape is strawberry (aka inverted triangle)....I have narrow hips, a small butt, and slender thighs. When I get to 145, I'll probably wear a size 4.0 -
I was 145 and a size 7 or 9
Oh and I'm 5'20 -
I have been 145 at several different times in my life (5'5"). I have been "skinny fat" (wore about a 12), average muscle/fat (wore about 10) and fit working out with heavy weights (wore about size 8). Bottom line - lift weights
Currently about 130-135 and wear a 4/6 in most items.0 -
I am 5'10", and I wear a size 12 (I weigh 145).1

I am 5'2" and at 145 I was an 8.
Same here.0 -
I'm 5'6'' and 145 lbs and I wear usually a 6/8 depending on where I buy my jeans, sometimes they go up to a 10 depending on the store.0

5'5" 147, Wear between a 4 and an 8. 4's tend to be in popular brands like Old Navy, Gap or Eddie Bauer. 8's in C of H or Hudson Jeans. 6's pretty much anywhere else (Talbots, Banana Republic, etc.) Of course there are always outliers.
I've always been "dense"... in other words, I weight a ton more than I look. Everyone's different. Instead of picking a weight, I'd pick a size. If I picked, say 125 lbs, as my goal weight, that would put me in a 0 or 00 and wouldn't be sustainable. I like food way too much for that.0 -
When I was 145 I was wearing size 12s. I am 5"30

Nice to see a thread continue, from 9-11-11. . . what the what?!? Can someone find a foot size question from 2009 and move it along like this?1
-
Yes, this is an old thread, but someone brought it up for a reason.
When I was 145 I wore a looser six. Now, at 139, I wear a four, but I can fit into some sixes depending on the cut. I'm 5 ft 4 inches, but I lift heavy too.
However, this comparison is useless- if someone weight lifts they will be able to wear a smaller size because that's what heavy weight lifting does to us females.
So, what size you wear at 145, or any weight, will depend on many things.0 -
I'm not down to145 yet, but when I was in the past it was about a size 5 for me. Very different from a lot of other responses because when I was 180 (before starting on MFP) I wore a 10 comfortably
Btw, I am 5'2.5"0 -
I am 5'2.5" and weigh 145 lb. I wear a size 4 in women's and a 7 w/ a belt in juniors (thanks to my thighs and booty from squats :P)0

Way back when In high school I was 150 and wore a size 10 ( I'm 5'5) My 13 year old daughter is 140lb and 5ft4, she wears a size 4! It's crazy to see how truly different we all are! I really enjoyed everyone's posts0

I am 5'4" and at 145, I wore an 8. I tend to carry my weight mostly in my thighs and upper torso, though.0

Vanity sizing is just getting out of control these days. I'm 228 pounds and wear a size 16. When I was 185 pounds and inches smaller i wore a 16 too.
Back when I was 140 I was a size 10, but with vanity sizing these days that might end up being much smaller.
There's generally less vanity sizing with more expensive clothes, too.0 -
I'm 5'7" currently 150 lbs and wear a size 8 in most jeans. At 140-145 I wear a size 6 in most jeans. I carry my extra weight in my thighs tho - I have to get jeans loose in the waist for them to fit over my thighs, then wear a belt, lol.0

5'5 size 60

I'm 5'2.5" and when I was 145 lbs I was in around a size 8-10 depending on the brand. Now I'm 128 and in a size 4-6 depending on brand.0
