So I totally forgot to report back here,

I have completed W1 run 2 and tonight I did W1 run 3 without my dog and my shins are feeling a lot better. I was able to go at my own pace and felt great.

Both runs felt great. I wanted to run longer and am excited to run for 2 minutes next time.
