Cereal=Depends on the kind but mine semi-soft with a bit of crunch still in it
    Banana=Peeled from stem

PS. My husband peels from the other end only because it does not smash the tip of the banana...I mean really who cares...and also had to mention that this is the way monkeys do it because it is easier to peel. HAHA

    Cereal - crunchy
    Banana - stem

*Editied to add; next time I eat a banana, I am definitely going to try peeling it from the other end.

Cereal has got to have crunch

If there was a no vote, that would be my vote. I generally peel them stem to base out of habit, but have heard that you're supposed to peel them bottom to top to avoid the banana strings.

    Cereal- Crunchy

Banana- Stem, BUT I have read that if you peel it the other way, it limits the number of strings you get... but I've never tried it.

    Crunchy cereal
I usually peel a banana from the stem - if it won't open, I'll go from the bottom or cut it in half. I will add that I was told primates peel a banana from the bottom ...

I gotta say, your wife is wrong. Cereal should be crunchy, BUT mist be completely wet.

Also as with the bananas, monkies eat bananas by peeling on the OPPOSITE side of the stem, ergo, you are correct again

The next time you are fighting about bananas or cereal just stop, look at each other, and realize you probably are both in need of a good bedroom romp.

    First off agree with ^^^^^^
    Seondly cereal must be crunchy
and banana any way I can get it out of the peel is fine with me.

This is what couples are fighting about nowadays?

I once had an argument with my (now ex) husband over yogurt.

Had an arguement over peppers - he wanted red peppers for a recipe, I bought green.

Soggy cereal - that's just cold oatmeal, blech!!
Banana - I peel from the stem, not good at looking outside the box I guess, never would have thought you could peel it from the end. Going to try that, lol.
