Copy and paste that code I posted above, but change the "IMG" at the begging and end to lower case. That should be all you have to do to it.

At the top of your message board page you should have a little tab that says "signature" - 4th one over - that's where you paste it.

Apparently, I am not doing well with reading instructions, but 3rd time is the charm :)
  • Well I am going to put this up here as a way for us to know each other:

My name is Eric, I'm 29, separated and have 2 daughters. I've been overweight since I was 9. The highest I've ever weighed was 309lbs which was about 3 years ago. At that time I started walking and eating better and lost about 60lbs in 3 months. After that I gained up to 40 of it back and have been between 280-300 since then. A friend of mine mentioned MFP and I decided to take a look, it didn't really seem that special and I was even not really being truthful in my food diary and not really caring too much about it. It's then that I started looking into the message boards and finding people, people like ME. People who have struggled, who are struggling, who are having success. I found support, I found friendship, I found hope. I found motivation to push me through.

I'm an extremely competitive person and I love challenges. the first challenge I took part of was the lose 10lbs in September challenge. I am loving it. Since then I've been making my own mini challenges (Looks like I'm going to fail one of them this week!) and I've had people join me in them.

My starting weight on MFP when I joined at the end of August was 286. My goal is to get to 180lbs. I really think that this time it's for real.

I'm personable, extremely social and supportive. I hope this challenge is a lot of fun and I hope that I can keep up with all of you.
Looking forward to doing this with you all.

I really hate to do this guys, but can you find someone to replace me for this one? My laptop just committed suicide, which means my tech access is going to be extremely limited for a while, and my life is in complete chaos until I get it back.

I'm not just a tech junky of some sort... I am a graduate student who just lost my research work, my papers in progress, my draft thesis... all of my reference data... basically, I'm screwed.

I do apologize, but i don't have much option in this case. Sorry!!
  • yeah I can find a replacement. Sorry to hear that Lori!
hope it all gets fixed and back to a.o.k.
    no stress!
  • Okay, I found a replacement.
    IamSam25

    he's my brother.
Jana, do you mind changing the logo again please? you're the best. Also, with Lori bowing out (which is understandable) does anyone feel like creating the spreadsheet for us to mark what we've done or to keep track. Anyone feel like being the skipper to report the calories burned daily?

    Thanks,

    Eric

I can take care of our logo and the spreadsheet - just can't get to it right this second. I'll get caught up on stuff either tonight or tomorrow!!
  • Awesome thanks Jana,
I already messaged Lee and informed him of the replacement.

Here's the new spreadsheet link - I basically just copied the one that Lori had already set up. I opened the access to allow all member to edit their totals, so all you have to do is copy/paste the link into your browser, find your name, and enter your weekly calorie totals.

Just so we're clear on the way this works - the challenge starts October 1, right? So since the spreadsheet is set up Week 1, week 2, etc...does that mean that week 1 would be Saturday October 1 - Friday October 7? And the challenge would end in 6 weeks on Friday November 11?
  • That there Jana is just the way Lori set it up. The challenge lasts until we are finished. We are supposed to submit our calorie burns to the captain (I'm guessing that'll be you or me) and they submit it to the guy running the challenge (leesomething) I think if the spreadsheet was set up like User A: and then lets say 31 spots for the days of the month of october with their total adding up at the end of it.. That sort of deal. Does that make sense?

So you're saying track daily rather than weekly? I like that.

Revamped it a little - but it's not as pretty as she had it with all the colors - either way - let me know if you think I need to make any changes.
  • This is precisely what I was thinking.
It's hard to make it neat and tidy with so many things on there as opposed to what it was. I changed the color to the names,
and then separated the days into weeks with different colors so it's easier to see in that regards.
    Looks great thought Jana.
So the question is Do you want to be captain or do you want me to be captain?

I'll let you be captain of this one since you pretty much organized the team and I'm already leading the 10# challenge.
  • Jana,
in your first initial post that you did to start this thread can you edit it and add the img for our logo, the spreadsheet for our calories,
as well as the map we are playing on http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid=204655860575059420912.0004abdf0de2eadf90575&msa=0&ll=42.827639,-74.904785&spn=4.713081,9.876709
and finally the initial post that the challenge was created on:
    http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/347913-those-magnificent-mfp-s-in-their-flying-machines-still-ope

and oh yeah, list everyone that is in our group:
    obstacleone
    aggielu
    agentmattdionne
    spiceshirl
    iamsam25
    jrdoty8986
    leahjl
    musicgirl88

so everyone knows who to add.

Thank you so much for getting everything set up.

Sadly, I am starting to feel worse instead of better. I need to kick whatever I have before the challenge begins. Pray or send positive thoughts my way, please :) We're going to kick *kitten*! :)
