I'll accept any FR and have yet to delete any one. Variety is the spice of life :)

I've only sent out a few FR's myself, from the first support thread that I joined long ago.

I don't care if they haven't logged in for awhile, I'll keep them on my list. Doesn't harm me in any way to keep them on the list and I just don't see the point of removing them. If/when they do come back on, they are all the more likely to need friends to get going again.

I added a couple because they mentioned at some point that they also ride horses, and that's my whole life so I'm always looking for horsey friends. Also someone because they live in MN. The rest added me.

I don't really need a message, I figure if they turn out to be creepy or something I could always block them later.

This is EXACTLY me. I rarely send my own requests (maybe 5 or 10 total in the four plus months I've been here), and I've yet to delete anyone. Also, unless someone were being incredibly obloxious, or were to in some other way display some kind of polar opposite to my personality that I just couldn't get over, I wouldn't. For example, my very first friend, is still my very first friend...and I haven't seen her on in months lol.

On a humorous side note...oddly enough, I've been deleted by more than a few...go figure?

Typically I'll add anyone who asks to be my friend--I tend to be skeptical about people with no pictures, but wil usually add them anyway.

Other than that, I tend to add people who are actively posting and/or inspiring. I want to be able to connect with them. I friended someone in early Summer who was not only inspiring when it came to weight loss and exercise, but had a great sense of Charity. It attracted my interest and now we've been able to not only encourage each other from a fitness perspective, but are planning to get together for on some charitable events in the future. There is more to life than fitness.

i dont send out a lot of FR, because i'm not for everyone. however, if someone reads my posts, looks at my profile, and still sends a message in their FR stating that they want to be friends... well, who am i to deny them the abuse i'm going to give on them?

How do you hunt people down on here from "out there"? I've been trying to figure it out... Yeah, I'm a newbie.
  • I actually haven't requested very many, at least in awhile. But usually if I find them interesting or they make me laugh, I'd be happy to have them.

i generally dont request anymore, but will accept if there is a message... i would normally add people that i saw that had similiar goals or likings, and people that seemed to be mutual friends. several i added because they were all over my feed any ways lol

After reading this I realize I need to get my 'hotness' up a few notches. Also, as many have found from FRing me-if you say you like my tattoo, well, I can't argue with you-it's pretty badass and you obviously have good taste-as do I.

Wow I'm really naive I add people because I think they will inspire me to reach my fitness goals!!!!!! The wittiness or hotness level are just nice fringe benefits in some people.....

    ^^^ This. And I don't think that it's naive. :)

They were twisted enough to send a friend request and they met the criteria of posting something offensive to my wall after said acceptance.
