267 Miles for the Month. I am half way there. Anything over 500 for this month is icing on the cake for my last two months of the year. If I hit 500 this month it means I only 500 left for the last two months to hit 4000 for the year.

    4000 miles is a great accomplishment...keep riding!

I'm shooting for 6000 if it ever stops raining..LOL!

Rode later in the morning so it was warmer and did 27 miles with a friend. Lots more fun than riding alone. Total is now 60 miles!

    Goal 150

I've got to admit that I'm not a foul weather rider.Living in central florida the type of weather we're having ,3 days of wind & rain, is rare.Today is the worst torrential downpours with 50 mph gusts.Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

Hi everyone.I'm looking to be educated about indoor bike trainers.I know nothing about them and am looking for advice.I realize there are almost as many opinions as there are models of trainers out there.I'm looking for the best value for the buck of course! Also what's needed besides the trainer itself? Front wheel block,a floor mat..what else? I don't think this is something I'll be using often living in florida but the last 3 days have been hell not being able to get my rides in! Rain & wind have been crazy .Any help would be appreciated..Thanks...Mark

I've replied on your Bike trainers thread about which one i'd recommend - to be honest, IMHO they're the work of the devil - an instrument of self inflicted torture, but sometimes they're the only option.

For what it's worth, I took my own advice, decided to MTFU and get out there riding, even if it rained. So I did ride, and it did rain, and I did fall off the bike at a railway level crossing, and I do have 2 lovely patches of road-rash on my right knee and elbow now.

Got to admire your Dedication Pam3 - there's no way in the world I could pedal that many miles on a stationary bike - I did 20 miles on saturday and that was my limit.
